Recently, the smart applications, such as smart phone and smart TV, become a hot issue in IT consumer markets. In particular, the smart TV provides 3D video services, hence efficient coding methods for 3D video data are required. Three-dimensional (3D) video involves stereoscopic or multi-view images to provide depth experience through 3D display systems. Binocular cues are perceived by rendering proper viewpoint images obtained at slightly different view angles. Since the number of viewpoints of the multi-view video is limited, 3D display devices should generate arbitrary viewpoint images using available adjacent view images. In this paper, after we explain a view synthesis method briefly, we propose a new algorithm to compensate view synthesis errors around object boundaries. We describe a 3D warping technique exploiting the depth map for viewpoint shifting and a hole filling method using multi-view images. Then, we propose an algorithm to remove boundary noises that are generated due to mismatches of object edges in the color and depth images. The proposed method reduces annoying boundary noises near object edges by replacing erroneous textures with alternative textures from the other reference image. Using the proposed method, we can generate perceptually inproved images for 3D video systems.
The Spatial Image contents of Geomorphology 3-D environment is focused by the requirement and importance in the fields such as, national land development plan, telecommunication facility management, railway construction, general construction engineering, Ubiquitous city development, safety and disaster prevention engineering. The currently used DEM system using contour lines, which embodies geographic information based on the 2-D digital maps and facility information has limitation in implementation in reproducing the 3-D spatial city. Moreover, this method often neglects the altitude of the rail way infrastructure which has narrow width and long length. This As the results, We confirmed the solutions of varieties application for railway facilities management using 3-D spatial image contents and database design. Also, I suggested that U-city using railway modeling about matching methods of high density elevation value using 3-D aerial photo with laser data are best approach for detail stereo modeling and simulation.

Recently there are many works conducted on utilizing the DIBR (Depth-Image-Based Rendering) based intermediate images for the three-dimensional displays that do not require the use of stereoscopic glasses. However the prior works have used expensive depth cameras to obtain high-resolution depth images since DIBR-based intermediate image generation method requires the accuracy for depth information. In this study, we have developed the simulation to generate multi-view intermediate images based on the depth and color images using Microsoft Kinect. This simulation aims to support the acquisition of multi-view intermediate images utilizing the low-resolution depth and color image from Kinect, and provides the integrated service for the quality evaluation of the intermediate images. This paper describes the architecture and the system implementation of this simulation program.
In this paper, we suggested plan that utilize the mobile mapping system data for constructing 3D cadastral information of roads and buildings effectively. 3D cadastral information means conflation of existing cadastral information and spatial information. It also means 3D land management that can register and manage various spatial information with land information effectively. Technically, geometry information and attribute information by image or radar scanner and location information of geographic features calculated by GPS/INS integration technology are useful for constructing 3D cadastral information included in buildings and features on the ground. As a result, the application of mobile mapping system for constructing 3D cadastral information will make a scientification and enhancing of the land information.

Computer vision research area, a division of computer graphics application area that creates realistic visualization in computer, conducts vigorously researches on developing realistic 3D model or virtual environment. As the popularization and development of 3D display makes common users easy to experience a solid 3D virtual reality, the demand for virtual reality contents are increasing. This paper proposes 3D panorama system using depth point location-based depth map generation method. 3D panorama using depth map gives an effect that makes users feel staying at real place and looking around nearby circumstances. Also, 3D panorama gives free sight point for both nearby object and remote one and provides solid 3D video.

This study conducted pilot mapping project to know the possibility of mapping with medium resolution satellite imageries. For this purpose, mapping experiments were conducted with each stereo model imageries of SPOT, KOMPSAT, and IRS- lC. And positional accuracy, analysis of detectable and describable features, and comparison with existing digital map were checked, possible mapping scale and cost analysis were conducted with these results. Regarding SPOT imagery, digital photogrammetric workstation was used for stereoplotting. Regarding KOMPSAT and IRS-lC imageries, because there were data format support problems. head-up digitizing was performed with ortho imageries rectified with DEMs generated by image matching. The results of experiments show that such features as wide road, river, coast line, etc are possible to detect and depict but many other features are not for SPOT, KOMPSAT, and IRS-lC imageries. On the aspect of mapping, therefore, SPOT is available for 1/50,000 topographic map revision, KOMPSAT and IRS-lC for 1/25.000 topographic map revision.
The purpose of this study is to assess the usefulness of IR to compensate for uncertainties in inserting high density artificial objects in radiation treatment planning in the 3D-CRT treatment technique. CT images of the subjects with phantom and titanium inserted were obtained from images without IR and images with IR, and the dose evaluation factors HI, MU and volume evaluation factors Volume and PCI were compared. The results of the stainless steel and titanium phantom experiments showed that the volume of high density artificial material was reduced by 4.850% and 11.456% respectively when applying IR. MU decreased 0.924% and 1.181%. HI was down 0.106% and 0.272%. PCI decreased 0.358% and 0.867%. When IR was applied to CT images of subjects with vertebroplasty, Femur alignment pin and wrist alignment pin, the volume of artifacts decreased by 47.76%, 23.841%, and 49.339%. MU also decreased 0.924%, 0.294% and 1.675%, while HI decreased 1.232%, 0.412% and 1.695%. PCI decreases 4.022%, 0.512%, and 13.472%. In conclusion, When IR was applied to 3D-CRT treatment plan, both dose and volume in phantom and subject case with high density artificial insert were reduced.

In this paper, we propose a disparity-adaptive filtering method to reduce view-aliasing and inter-perspective aliasing on auto-multiscopic 3D display. View aliasing by the subsampled multi-view images could happen if the resolution of an auto-multiscopic monitor is lower than that of the original multi-view images. Furthermore, multi-view images on auto-multiscopic monitor usually cause eye strain and fatigue because of inter-perspective aliasing by discontinuity that exists between viewpoints. The greater disparity value becomes, the stronger these types of aliasing could be. Thus, we design a lowpass filter whose cut-off frequency is determined adaptively to the number of intermediate reconstructed views and their disparity's strength. Though experimental results, we show that the proposed filtering algorithm could reduce the aliasing effect very efficiently by using DSCQS (double stimulus continuous quality scale method).

It will be a real good news fer the people who were lost their hometown by the construction of a large dam to be restored to the farmer state. Focused on Cheung-pyung around where most part were submerged by the Chungju large Dam founded in eurly 1980s, It used remote sensing image restoration Technique in this study in order to restore topographical features before the flood with stereo effects. We gathered comparatively good satellite photos and remotely sensed digital images, then its made a new fusion image from these various satellite images and the topographical map which had been made before the water filled by the DAM. This task was putting together two kinds of different timed images. And then, we generated DEM including the outskirts of that area as matching current contour lines with the map. That could be a perfect 3D image of test areas around before when it had been water filled by making perspective images from all directions included north, south, east and west, fer showing there in 3 dimensions. Also, for close range visiting made of flying simulation can bring to experience their real space at that time. As a result of this experimental task, it made of new fusion images and 3-D perspective images and simulation live images by remotely sensed photos and images, old paper maps about vanished submerged Dam areas and gained of possibility 3-D terrain image restoration about submerged area by large Dam construction.
