Measurement of 3D Spreader Position Information using the CCD Cameras and a Laser Distance Measuring Unit

  • This paper introduces a novel approach that can provide the three dimensional information about the movement of a spreader by using two CCD cameras and a laser distance measuring unit in order to derive ALS (Automatic Landing System) in the crane used at a harbor. So far a kind of 2D Laser scanner sensor or laser distance measuring units are used as comer detectors for the geometrical matching between the spreader and a container. Such systems provide only two dimensional information which is not enough for an accurate and fast ALS. In addition to this deficiency in performance, the price of the system is too high to adapt to the ALS. Therefore, to overcome these defects, we proposed a novel method to acquire the three dimensional spreader information using two CCD cameras and a laser distance measuring unit. To show the efficiency of proposed method, real experiments are performed to show the improvement of accuracy in distance measurement by fusing the sensory information of the CCD cameras and a laser distance measuring unit.

3D 프린팅 기술을 이용한 전산화단층영상 기반 조직 생검 보조기구 개발 (Development of Biopsy Assist Device on Computed Tomography Using 3D Printing Technology)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop an assist device that could correct and support patient position during biopsy on computed tomography (CT) using 3D printing technology. The development method was conducted in the order of 3D design, 3D output, intermediate evaluation for product, final assist device evaluation. The 3D design method was conducted in the order of prior research data survey, measurement, primary modeling, 3D printing, output evaluation, and supplementary modeling. The 3D output was the 3D printer (3DWOX 2X, Sindoh, Korea) with additive manufacturing technology and the polylactic acid (PLA) materials. At this time, the optimal strength was evaluated to infill degree of product as the 3D printing factors into 20%, 40%, 60%, and 80%. The intermediate evaluation and supplementation was measured noise in the region of interest (ROI) around the beam hardening artifact on the CT images. We used 128-channel MDCT (Discovery 75 HD, GE, USA) to scan with a slice thickness of 100 kVp, 150 mA, and 2.5 mm on the 3D printing product. We compared the surrounding noise of the final 3D printing product with the beginning of it. and then the strength of it according to the degree of infill was evaluated. As a result, the surrounding noise of the final and the early devices were measured at an average of 3.3 ± 0.5 HU and 7.1 ± 0.1 HU, respectively, which significantly reduced the noise of the final 3D printing product (p<0.001). We found that the percentage of infill according to the optimal strength was found to be 60%. Finally, development of assist devices for CT biopsy will be able to minimize artifacts and provide convenience to medical staff and patients.

로봇 착유기를 위한 3차원 위치정보획득 시스템 (3D Image Processing System for an Robotic Milking System)

  • This study was carried out to measure the 3D-distance of a cow model teat for an application possibility on Robotic Milking System(RMS). A teat recognition algorithm was made to find 3D-distance of the model by using Gonzalrez's theory. Some of the results are as follows. 1 . In the distance measurement experiment on the test board, as the measured length, and the length between the center of image surface and the measured image point became longer, their error values increased. 2. The model teat was installed and measured the error value at the random position. The error value of X and Y coordinates was less than 5㎜, and that of Z coordinates was less than 20㎜. The error value increased as the distance of camera's increased. 3. The equation for distance information acquirement was satisfied with obtaining accurate distance that was necessary for a milking robot to trace teats, A teat recognition algorithm was recognized well four model cow teats. It's processing time was about 1 second. It appeared that a teat recognition algorithm could be used to determine the 3D-distance of the cow teat to develop a RMS.

3D 가상착의 시스템을 활용한 노년 남성의 슬랙스 원형 설계 (Developing of slacks clothing pattern for the elderly men using a 3D virtual garment simulation system)

  • This study seeks to increase the satisfaction of elderly men when purchasing and wearing ready-to-wear clothes by designing a slacks pattern suitable for their body type, which is determined by analyzing their lower bodies using virtual avatars and 3D virtual simulation system. The study found the following. First, based on virtual visualization of the comparison slacks pattern, the waistline position was consistently the lowest scored question among the evaluation survey items. Interpretation of this dissatisfaction suggests that, because the front waistline falls below the abdomen, the lower body, and especially the abdominal shape, is unpleasantly emphasized. Second, by using a virtual simulation system, the study developed a new slacks pattern that considered the concerns of elderly men. The primary measurement changes were as follows: front waist girth W/4+1.5cm+0.5cm, back waist girth W/4+1.5cm-0.5cm, front hip girth H/4+2.5cm-0.5cm, back hip girth H/4+2.5cm+0.5cm. Third, the new slacks pattern's appearance was evaluated more highly than the comparison pattern, confirming the new pattern's appropriateness for elderly men. This study demonstrates how slacks and other clothing patterns designed in a 3D virtual garment simulator can be used to design more appealing clothing for elderly men, increasing the satisfaction of wearing ready-made clothes at older ages.

  • 본 논문에서는 혼합감도문제를 이용하여 강인한 서보계를 구성함으로서 동위치 제어 시스템의 제어계를 설계하는 방법을 제안하였고, LQG를 이용한 다변수 디지털 서보 제어기 및 H$\infty$ 최적 제어기와의 비교실험을 통하여 제안된 제어기의 유용성을 입증하였다.

  • 본 논문은 LOS(Line of Sight) 및 NLOS(Non Line of Sight)등 실제 MIMO(Multi Input Multi Output) 환경에 서의 수신 안테나의 간격에 따른 전파 채널 특성에 관하여 기술 하였다. $2\times2$ MIMO 채널 측정 시스템을 구축하여 2.3GHz Wibro 대역에서 측정을 하였다. 수신안테나의 간격에 따른 특성을 분석하기 위해 반파장 표준 다이폴 안테나의 간격을 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 1.0 파장 간격 이격시켜 MIMO 안테나 수신 성능을 측정 하였으며, 측정 위치는 LOS 2곳 NLOS 4곳에 대하여 행하였다. 측정 곁과 직접파를 수신 하는 LOS 환경에서는 공간 상관계수가 NLOS 환경에 비해 높은 값을 나타내었다. MIMO 시스템에서는 0.9 이상의 높은 공간 상관계수는 성능의 열화를 가져 올 수 있으므로 이를 극복하기 위한 안테나 및 시스템의 설계가 이루어져야 한다.

토르소 원형설계를 위한 피복인간공학적 분석방법 (Clothing-ergonomical Analysis Method for the Basic Torso's Pattern Drafting)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide basic data for a more functional torso's pattern by analyzing multidimensional anthropometric measurements and the wearing condition. For the functional torso's pattern drafting, the fitness state of basic torso's patterns(4 types) was compared and evaluated from the cross-sectioned overlap maps by $moir{\acute{e}}$ topography. The results were as follows: 1. According to the measurements of four patterns by using the one-dimensional measurement, the amount of ease in girth item for pattern A was the smallest. The ease of clothes was affected by the position of dart, the amount of dart, and the drafting method. 2. As the results of wearing evaluation by $moir{\acute{e}}$ topography method, pattern B had the largest space length for hip part, pattern A, C and D had the largest space length for bust part. Also, in the all measurement items, pattern A had the smallest amount of ease. The space length for bust and waist part of pattern B was smaller than pattern D, but, for abdomen and hip part of pattern B was larger than pattern D. The space length of pattern C was revealed intermediate for all measurement part. 3. The significant difference of space length of each pattern was shown in all parts except bust part(p<.05). The amount of space was affected by the amount of dart, the characteristics of the somatotype, and the drafting method.

  • An Inverted-F antenna for the 2.4GHz application is designed and implemented. The antenna is implemented on the PCB board and installed in a vertical position. The 10dB characteristics are 2.4 to 2.48GHz in bandwidth which satisfies the bluetooth requirement and the whole impedance is matched. The feed-line on the PCB board is also calculated and implemented. And the measuring system is installed at the KITI in Kangwon Nat'l Univ. and applied to measured the antenna characteristics. The measured values show that this antenna is suitable for the commercial applications.

포크 형태의 개방형 스터브 및 SIR 구조를 이용한 이중대역 대역통과 여파기의 설계 (Design of a Dual Band-pass Filter Using Fork-type Open Stubs and SIR Structure)

  • 본 논문은 λg/2 개방형 SIR 구조와 전송선로와 대칭 및 비대칭 개방형 스터브를 가진 포크-형태의 구조를 일체화한 이중대역 대역통과 여파가 설계에 대해 제안을 한다. 이중대역 효과를 얻기 위해, 제안된 여파기는 SIR 구조를 이용했고, SIR 구조의 임피던스 비율을 조절한다. 그러므로 여파기의 고조파는 임피던스 비율의 조절을 통해 위치가 이동하게 되며 이는 이중대역 효과를 얻을 수 있다. 이중대역 특성을 얻기 위해 SIR 구조를 반으로 나눈 상태에서 SIR 구조 사이에 개방형 스터브를 삽입하여 이중대역 효과를 얻는다. 또한 포크 형태의 구조에서 개방형 대칭 스터브의 길이를 조절함으로써 두 번째 주파수 응답을 얻는다. 포크 형태에서 비대칭 개방형 스터브는 길이의 조절을 통해 최적의 대역폭을 얻는다. 그러므로 제안된 대역통과 여파기의 첫 번째 중심 주파수는 5.896 GHz이며 대역폭은 13.6 % 이다. 이때, 측정 결과는 0.13 dB 및 33.6 dB이다. 두 번째 중심 주파수는 5.906 GHz이며 대역폭은 13.6 % 이다. 이때, 측정 결과는 0.15 dB 및 19.8 dB이다. 그 이유는 임피던스 비율(Δ)이 1보다 높으면 고조파의 위치는 낮은 주파수 대역으로 이동하게 된다. 그러나 임피던스 비율(Δ)이 1보 낮아지게 된다면 고조파의 위치는 높은 주파수 대역으로 이동하게 될 것이다. 이러한 특징을 이용하여 설계된 여파기의 기능은 측정 결과에서 얻을 수 있다. 제안한 대역통과 여파기는 입출력의 결합구조와 비아 홀이 없기 때문에 결합손실과 비아 에너지 집중 손실이 없다. 그러므로 성능이 우수하여 시스템 집적화가 가능하며 교통통신 시스템에서 활용되는 DSRC (dedicated short-range communication) 시스템 응용이 가능할 것으로 기대된다.

  • Obstacle detection is much studied by using sensors such as laser, vision, radar and ultrasonic in path planning for UGV(Unmanned Ground Vehicle), but not much reported about its characterization. In this paper not only an obstacle classification method using 2-dimensional LMS(Laser Measurement System) but also a decision making method whether to avoid or traverse the obstacle is proposed. The basic idea of decision making is to classify the characteristics by 2D laser scanned data and intensity data. Roughness features are obtained by range data using a simple linear regression model. The standard deviations of roughness and intensity data are used as measures for decision making by comparing with those of reference data. The obstacle classification and decision making for the UGV can facilitate a short path to the target position and the survivability of the robot.
