  • A fully integrated 5-GHz CMOS power amplifier for IEEE 802.11a WLAN applications is implemented using $0.18-{\mu}m$ CMOS technology. An on-chip transmission-line transformer is used for output matching network and voltage combining. Input balun, inter-stage matching components, output transmission line transformer and RF chokes are fully integrated in the designed amplifier so that no external components are required. The power amplifier occupies a total area of $1.7mm{\times}1.2mm$. At a 3.3-V supply voltage, the amplifier exhibits a 22.6-dBm output 1-dB compression point, 23.8-dBm saturated output power, 25-dB power gain. The measured power added efficiency (PAE) is 20.1 % at max. peak, 18.8% at P1dB. When 54 Mbps/64 QAM OFDM signal is applied, the PA delivers 12dBm of average power at the EVM of -25dB.

  • In this paper, a novel dual-band power amplifier using metamaterials has been realized with one RF GaN HEMT diffusion metal-oxide-semiconductor field effect transistor. The CRLH TL can lead to metamaterial transmission line with the dual-band tuning capability. The dual-band operation of the CRLH TL is achieved by the frequency offset and the nonlinear phase slope of the CRLH TL for the matching network of the power amplifier. We have managed only the second- and third-harmonics to obtain the high efficiency with the CRLH TL in dual-band. Also, the proposed power amplifier has been realized by using the harmonic control circuit for not only the output matching network, but also the input matching network for better efficiency. Two operating frequencies are chosen at 900 MHz and 2140 MHz in this work. The measured results show that the output power of 39.83 dBm and 35.17 dBm was obtained at 900 MHz and 2140 MHz, respectively. At this point, we have obtained the power-added efficiency (PAE) and IMD of 60.2 %, -23.17dBc and 67.3 %, -25.67dBc at two operation frequencies, respectively.

  • In this paper, we propose a broadband vehicle antenna that can operate at the WiBro band(2.3~2.4 GHz) for a wireless internet service. The feeding of the proposed antenna consists of two T-matching networks on both side of the polyarcylate substrate, and the two T-matching networks are connected through via holes. The designed antenna was built and installed on a rear window of a commercial sedan, and the antenna performances, such as the reflection coefficients and the radiation gain are measured in the open-sight area. The received signal strength of the designed antenna was also tested in a strong field area as well as in a weak field area. The measurement results show the matching bandwidth($S_{11}$ <10 dB) of about 300 MHz in the WiBro band and the average gain of about -5.13 dBi along the azimuth direction.

  • The test is performed to measure the accuracy of landmark matching process considering cloud detection performance and to analyze the evolution of this accuracy with respect to the cloud detection processing parameters. For the purpose, MTSAT-1R HiRiD data were used to induce final results. The test result shows that landmarks matching performance estimation on MTSAT-1R HiRiD data is considered as being between 0.06 and 0.09 IR pixel, corresponding to $7{\mu}rad$ and $10{\mu}rad$.

  • The propagation loss of silica slab waveguides were measured by immersing slab waveguides into a index matching liqiud. Index matching liqiud was used for out-coupling the light from arbitrary points of slab waveguide. The measured value of propagation loss are 0.04 dB/cm and 0.09 dB at 1300 nm and 633 nm respectively.

  • In this paper, a low noise amplifier(LNA) in a receiver of a Low Noise Block Down Converter (LNB) for direct broadcasting service(DBS) is implemented using GaAs HEMT. The LNA is designed for the bandwidth of 11.7GHz-12.2GHz. The 2stage-LNA consists of a input matching circuit, a output matching circuit, DC-blocks and RF-chokes. The result of a simulation of the LNA using Advanced Design System(ADS) shows the noise figure less than 1.4dB, the gain greater than 23dB and the flatness of 1dB in the bandwidth of 11.7 to 12.2GHz.

  • We investigate the channel allocation problem in an ultra-dense device-to-device (D2D) enabled cellular network in underlaying mode where multiple D2D users are forced to share the same channel. Two kinds of low complexity solutions, which just require partial channel state information (CSI) exchange, are devised to resolve the combinatorial optimization problem with the quality of service (QoS) guaranteeing. We begin by sorting the cellular users equipment (CUEs) links in sequence in a matric of interference tolerance for ensuring the SINR requirement. Moreover, the interference quota of CUEs is regarded as one kind of communication resource. Multiple D2D candidates compete for the interference quota to establish spectrum sharing links. Then base station calculates the occupation of interference quota by D2D users with partial CSI such as the interference channel gain of D2D users and the channel gain of D2D themselves, and carries out the channel allocation by setting different access priorities distribution. In this paper, we proposed two novel fast matching algorithms utilize partial information rather than global CSI exchanging, which reduce the computation complexity. Numerical results reveal that, our proposed algorithms achieve outstanding performance than the contrast algorithms including Hungarian algorithm in terms of throughput, fairness and access rate. Specifically, the performance of our proposed channel allocation algorithm is more superior in ultra-dense D2D scenarios.

  • Image-based application testing proposes an application testing method via image structure comparison. This test method allows testing on various devices without relying on various types of device operating systems or GUI. Traditional studies required the creation of a tester for each variant in the existing case, because it differs from the correct image for operating system changes, screen animation execution, and resolution changes. The study determined that the screen is the same for variations. The tester compares the underlying structure of the objects in the two images and extracts the regions in which the differences exist in the images, and compares image similarity as characteristic points of the Faster D2-Net. The development of the Faster D2-Net reduced the number of operations and spatial losses compared to the D2-Net, making it suitable for extracting features from application images and reducing test performance time.

  • In this paper, we designed more improving a dual-band power amplifier than the transceiver of RFID reader that operates at 910 MHz and 2.45 GHz. A dual-band power amplifier has two circuits. One matching circuit is composed lumped element in the band of 910 MHz. The other matching circuit using distributed element in the high band of 2.45 GHz. So, this dual-band power amplifier works as Band Rejection Filter in the band of 910 MHz but in the high band of 2.45 GHz works as Band Pass Filter. Therefore, this is composed a microstrip transmission line. A power amplifier is showed gains of 8 dB output power at 910 MHz and 1.5 dB output power at 2.45 GHz. If input power is 10 dBm, both of bands output 20 dBm.

  • Nowadays 3D models are used in diverse sectors. The 3D maps provide better reality than existing plane maps as well as diverse pieces of information that cannot be expected from the limited plane maps. A process proposed in this paper enables easy and quick production by replacing the expensive laser scanners for modeling by an improved digital camera stereo matching algorithm. The algorithm used in this study was a SURF algorithm contained in the OpenCV library. The unconformity points of the algorithm were eliminated using the homography conversion and epipolar lines. In addition, the improved algorithm was compared with the commercial program, and it showed a better performance than the commercial program. It is expected that the proposed method can contribute to the digital maps and 3D virtual reality because it enables easy and quick 3D modeling provided that the stereo matching conditions are met.
