Stereo matching algorithm is an essential part in computer vision and photography. Accuracy and computational complexity are challenges of stereo matching algorithm. Much research has been devoted to stereo matching based on cost volume filtering of matching costs. Local stereo matching based guided image filtering (GIF) has a computational complexity of O(N), but is still not enough to provide real-time 3-dimensional (3-D) video services. The proposed algorithm concentrates reduction of computational complexity using the concept of fast guided image filter, which increase the speed up to $O(N/\small{s}^2)$ with a sub-sampling ratio $\small{s}$. Experimental results indicated that the proposed algorithm achieves effective local stereo matching as well as a fast execution time for 3-D video service.

Inferring and recognizing 3D objects form a 2D occuluded image has been an important research area of computer vision. The octree model, a hierarchical volume description of 3D objects, may be utilized to generate projected images from arbitrary viewing directions, thereby providing an efficient means of the data base for 3D object recognition. We present a fast algorithm of finding the 4 pairs of feature points to estimate the viewing direction. The method is based on matching the object contour to the reference occuluded shapes of 49 viewing directions. The initially best matched viewing direction is calibrated by searching for the 4 pairs of feature points between the input image and the image projected along the estimated viewing direction. Then the input shape is recognized by matching to the projectd shape. The computational complexity of the proposed method is shown to be O(n$^{2}$) in the worst case, and that of the simple combinatorial method is O(m$^{4}$.n$^{4}$) where m and n denote the number of feature points of the 3D model object and the 2D object respectively.

Currently, 2D real-time image coding techniques had great developments and many related products were commercially developed. However, these techniques lack the capability of handling 3D actuality, occurred by the advent of virtual reality, because they handle only the temporal transmission for 2D image. Besides, many 3D virtual reality researches have been studied in computer graphics. Since the graphical researches were limited to the application of artificial models, the 3D actuality for real scene images could not be managed also. Therefore, a new 3D model extraction method based on stereo vision, that can deal with real scene virtual reality, is proposed in this paper. The proposed method adapted a compact genetic algorithm using population-based incremental learning (PBIL) to matching environments, in order to reduce memory consumption and computational time of conventional genetic algorithms. Since the PBIL used a probability vector and competitive learning, the matching algorithm became simple and the computation load was considerably reduced. Moreover, the matching quality was superior than conventional methods. Even if the characteristics of images are changed, stable outputs were obtained without the modification of the matching algorithm.

In this paper, two types of wideband 3-dB ring hybrids are compared and discussed to show the ring hybrid with a set of coupled-line sections better. However, the better one still has a realization problem that perfect matching can be achieved only with -3 dB coupling power. To solve the problem, a set of coupled-line sections with two shorts is synthesized using one- and two-port equivalent circuits and design equations are derived to have perfect matching, regardless of the coupling power. Based on the design equations, a modified ${\Pi}-type$ of transmission-line equivalent circuit is newly suggested. It consists of coupled-line sections with two shorts and two open stubs and can be used to reduce a transmission-line section, especially when its electrical length is greater than ${\pi}$. Therefore, the $3\;{\lambda}/4$ transmission-line section of a conventional ring hybrid can be reduced to less than ${\pi}/2$. To verify the modified ${\Pi}-type$ of transmission- line equivalent circuit, two kinds of simulations are carried out; one is fixing the electrical length of the coupled-line sections and the other fixing its coupling coefficient. The simulation results show that the bandwidths of resulting small transmission lines are strongly dependent on the coupling power. Using modified and conventional ${\Pi}-types$ of transmission-line equivalent circuits, a small ring hybrid is built and named a compact wideband coupled-line ring hybrid, due to the fact that a set of coupled-line sections is included. One of compact ring hybrids is compared with a conventional ring hybrid and the compared results demonstrate that the bandwidth of a proposed compact ring hybrid is much wider, in spite of being more than three times smaller in size. To test the compact ring hybrids, a microstrip compact ring hybrid, whose total transmission-line length is $220^{\circ}$, is fabricated and measured. The measured power divisions($S_{21}$, $S_{41}$, $S_{23}$ and $S_{43}$) are -2.78 dB, -3.34 dB, -2.8 dB and -3.2 dB, respectively at a design center frequency of 2 GHz, matching and isolation less than -20 dB in more than 20 % fractional bandwidth.

Herein, a non-Foster matching circuit is designed to improve the impedance matching characteristics of small antennas in the VHF and UHF bands. The proposed non-Foster circuit is designed to operate with negative capacitance in a wide frequency band from 50 MHz to 1,000 MHz for use in various communication bands. To ensure the stability of the non-Foster circuit with conditional stability, the open-circuit stability condition of Linvill was satisfied, and the circuit was fabricated using the FR-4 substrate. The fabricated non-Foster circuit was combined with a small antenna to verify its performance by measuring the return loss and received power in the FM, DMB, and GSM bands. The measured return loss was improved from -6 dB to -30 dB, and the measured received power was improved from 0.5 dBm to 5.2 dBm.
3D technology is main factor in Augmented Reality. Depth map is essential to make cubic effect using 2d image. There are a lot of ways to construct Depth map. Among them, stereo matching is mainly used. This paper presents how to generate depth map using stereo matching. For stereo matching, existing Dynamic programming method is used. To make accurate stereo matching, High-Boost Filter is applied to preprocessing method. As a result, when depth map is generated, accuracy based on Ground Truth soared.

This paper presents a 2.65 GHz Doherty power amplifier with internally-matched GaN HEMT. Internal matching circuits were adopted to match its harmonic impedances inside the package. Simultaneously, due to the partially matched fundamental impedance, input and output matching networks become simpler. Bond wires and parasitic elements of transistor package were predicted by EM simulation. For the LTE signal with 6.5 dB PAPR, the implemented Doherty power amplifier shows a power gain of 13.0 dB, a saturated output power of 55.4 dBm, an efficiency of 49.1 %, and ACLR of -26.3 dBc at 2.65 GHz with an operating voltage of 48 V.
In abrupt fire disturbances, high quality images suitable for wildfire damage assessment can be difficult to acquire. Quantifying wildfire burn area and severity are essential measures for quick short-term disaster response and efficient long-term disaster restoration. Planetscope (PS) imagery offers 3 m spatial and daily temporal resolution, which can overcome the spatio-temporal resolution tradeoff of conventional satellites, albeit at the cost of spectral resolution. This study investigated the potential of augmenting PS imagery by integrating the spectral information from Sentinel-2 (S2) differenced Normalized Burn Ratio (dNBR) to PS differenced Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (dNDVI) using histogram matching, specifically for wildfire burn area and severity assessment of the Okgye wildfire which occurred on April 4th, 2019. Due to the difficulty in acquiring reference data, the results of the study were compared to the wildfire burn area reported by Ministry of the Interior and Safety. The burn area estimates from this study demonstrated that the histogram-matched (HM) PS dNDVI image produced more accurate burn area estimates and more descriptive burn severity intervals in contrast to conventional methods using S2. The HM PS dNDVI image returned an error of only 0.691% whereas the S2 dNDVI and dNBR images overestimated the wildfire burn area by 5.32% and 106%, respectively. These improvements using PS were largely due to the higher spatial resolution, allowing for the detection of sparsely distributed patches of land and narrow roads, which were indistinguishable using S2 dNBR. In addition, the integration of spectral information from S2 in the PS image resolved saturation effects in areas of low and high burn severity.

In this study, an E-band low-noise amplifier (LNA) monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) has been designed using silicon-germanium 130-nm bipolar complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor technology to suppress unwanted signal gain outside operating frequencies and improve the signal gain and noise figures at operating frequencies. The proposed impedance-controllable filter has series (Rs) and parallel (Rp) resistors instead of a conventional inductor-capacitor (L-C) filter without any resistor in an interstage matching circuit. Using the impedance-controllable filter instead of the conventional L-C filter, the unwanted high signal gains of the designed E-band LNA at frequencies of 54 GHz to 57 GHz are suppressed by 8 dB to 12 dB from 24 dB to 26 dB to 12 dB to 18 dB. The small-signal gain S21 at the operating frequencies of 70 GHz to 95 GHz are only decreased by 1.4 dB to 2.4 dB from 21.6 dB to 25.4 dB to 19.2 dB to 24.0 dB. The fabricated E-band LNA MMIC with the proposed filter has a measured S21 of 16 dB to 21 dB, input matching (S11) of -14 dB to -5 dB, and output matching (S22) of -19 dB to -4 dB at E-band operating frequencies of 70 GHz to 95 GHz.
