Two experiments were conducted to study the effect of temperature on growth and survival of yearling sea bass, Lateolabrax japonicus reared from 3$^{\circ}C$ to 33$^{\circ}C$. In the I st experiment, we used yearlings fish averaging 19.2$\pm$0.2 cm/fish (Mean$\pm$S.E.M.) of total length (TL) and 67.0$\pm$1.8 g/fish (Mean$\pm$S.E.M.) of body weight (BW), and we cultured the fish at 3, 6, 9, 12 and 17$^{\circ}C$ for 90 days. In the 2nd experiment, the experimental fish averaging 24.9$\pm$0.1 cm/fish (Mean$\pm$S.E.M) of TL and I 46.4$\pm$3.0 g/fish (Mean$\pm$S.E.M) of BW were reared at 21,24,27,30 and 33$^{\circ}C$ for 90 days. During these experiments, we measured food intake, feed efficiency, survival and growth (TL and BW) in the both experiments. Although food intake of the yearling increased with the temperature, the feed efficiency was only enhanced within the temperature range, from 21 to 27$^{\circ}C$. Growth of yearling was normal within the temperature range from 17 to 3$0^{\circ}C$, but it was stoped or reduced in other temperatures. Survival rate was significantly reduced in 3$^{\circ}C$ from the 1st experiment and in 30 and 33$^{\circ}C$ from the 2nd experiment, but there was no significant difference among other groups.

In this study, Mokpo national maritime university Training ship Centralizes Air Conditioning System was upgraded by installing onboard an Air-cooled Air conditioner. This resulted in the improvement of the performance and operation. This study compared refrigeration performance to former equipment and improving one. And through the actual measurement study about the cabin thermal environment, it will be used as basic data for marine air conditioning design and plan in the future. At same climate condition, when the Centralized Air Conditioning System and an improved air conditioning system operated, cabin temperature was at $24{\sim}28^{\circ}C$, humidity was 55~75 % as comfortable condition, Generator load measurement showed a saving of 48KW in the average load and 8 % in the full load factor. This also resulted in a saving of daily fuel oil consumption(FOC) at around 222 [${\ell}/day$] average. On the other hand, one cadet cabin(Cadet No.21) indicated a higher temperature due to heat transmission of engine room. It found us not to consider installing additional diffuser to reduce the heat transmission.

In this study, bacterial disease monitoring was conducted from July to November 2022 for three representative bacterial species (Streptococcus parauberis, Vibrio spp. and Edwardsiella piscicida) to investigate the occurrence of bacterial diseases in farmed olive flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) on Jeju. Over a period of five months, 3,146 olive flounders were tested. The average length and weight of the olive flounder that were sampled for the disease were found to be 32.1 cm and 357.9 g, respectively. Bacteria were detected in 1,228 olive flounders, of which 24.6% were identified as Vibrio spp.. S. parauberis and E. piscicida were identified in 6.3% and 3.2% respectively, and 3% were unknown strains that could not be identified. Also, 41 (1.3%) olive flounders were found to have both S. parauberis and Vibrio spp. and 23 (0.7%) olive flounders were found to have both E. piscicida and Vibrio spp.. In particular, S. parauberis, Vibrio spp. (V. scophthalmi) and E. piscicida were detected simultaneously in one olive flounder. In fish infected with E. piscicida, the most obvious external signs were hernias and ascites.

In this study, we analyzed the amount of roadside fine dust generated from newly constructed specially modified asphalt pavement and general asphalt pavement from existing roads. We collected the 1,000 g (100 g/day) of dust samples from the roadside of the express bus terminal and commercial facility area in Chungcheongnam-do's C site at three-day intervals during the summer of 2022 and 2023. The collected samples were separated from fine dust according to size in the 75-150 ㎛ range and, were separated only from Tire and Road Wear Particles through density separation. No.1-3 are general asphalt pavement section as an existing road. Fine dust and Tire and Road Wear Particles in No.1-3 were 24.27 g, 24.36 g, 0.53 g, and 0.53 g, respectively, and the quantitative results for 2022 and 2023 were similar. On the other hand, No.4-6 are newly constructed specially modified asphalt pavement section. Fine dust decreased by 14.8 % and tire and road wear particles decreased by 29.6 % in 2023 compared to 2022 in No.4-6. In addition, according to the results of thermogravimetric analysis, Tire and road wear particles in No.1-3 are tire and road components at 30 % and 70 %, respectively. And Tire and road wear particles in No.4-6 are tire and road components at 35 % and 65 % in 2023, respectively. From these results, it was confirmed that the newly constructed specially modified asphalt pavement can be effective in reducing roadside fine dust and Tire and Road Wear Particles. However, there may be some shortcomings in conclusive research results due to limited space and sample collection period. In the future, we plan to conduct various case studies.
With the upcoming Digital age, it is time to develop digitalized contents based on cultural basis. in this respect, Kimchi is one of the most primal cultural content signifying Korean culture. It's no doubt the time to initiate the movement to digitalize the contents concerning Kimchi by gathering materials on the origin of Kimchi culturally and a great value to revive digital contents regarding Kimchi. Therefore, in this research, it is regarded that Kimchi is one of the most prominent cultural value that is possible to inherit from generations and should be stratified on the database. A method explaning Korean Kimchi culture is sought in this paper. And It is focused on the culture of Korean Kimchi profoundly and focus on detailed context and varied styles of he digital contents. It is organized on the basis of various aged volumes regarding Kimchi classified by seasons, ingredients, Jonga Kimchi (Kimchi inherited from the oldest family by generations), 24 seasonal divisions of the year, and 8 regional divisions of the nation. It is planned to set up digitally-focused library regarding cultural origin of contents and to present solidity and a feeling of being dynamic The results could be used in a variety of Industries in tourism, education, Kimchi and building basic infrastructure in entertainment industry. It is also applied to specialized industry by providing cultural contents and it could contribute to activation of Kimchi industry with e-Market and portal site regarding Kimchi. Rat embryos were cultured out of the mother from the head-fold stages, 9.5 days to 11.5 days during which they start to develop the brain, eyes, ears and cardiovascular system etc. We principally did the basic experiment in order to establish the best condition of the rat whole embryo culture in our laboratory. The temperature in the culture system was maintained 37$^{\circ}C$$\pm$0.2$^{\circ}C$ for 48 hrs. The culture was carried out in humidified atmosphere of the air, intially, the bottles were equilibrated with 5% $O_2$,5% $CO_2$, and 90% $N_2$gas mixture. After 22 or 24 and 29 or 30 hrs the cultures were reequilibrated with 20% $O_2$, 5% $CO_2$,75% $N_2$and 40% $O_2$, 5% $CO_2$, 55%$N_2$respectively. Various types of sera were tested and for the purpose of minimizing the quantity of rat serum, artificial medium was also tried and it was determined that rat serum supported normal growth over a period of 48 hrs, based on total growth analysis and structural comparisons with in vivo specimens.
Purpose: Recently, many countries around the world are actively looking for the ways to make full use of natural energy sources and also develop and apply an environmentally friendly system designed to save building energy consumption. Under these circumstances, this study intended to determine the applicability and energy saving effect by deriving the indoor thermal performance characteristics and the PCM temperature appropriate for a double skin façade to reduce indoor energy consumption through the application of different PCM temperatures to double skin façade and perform a performance evaluation depending on the application or non-application of PCM to a double skin façade. Method: For this study, the physical variables of the double skin façade with PCM were configured through a preliminary examination based on an experimental measurement, and experimental measurements were taken with a total of 7 types of mockup cases: Type-1 (Basic), the basic double skin façade, Type-2 (PCM $18^{\circ}C$) which was applied to the inner skin of the double skin façade depending on the phase-change temperature of PCM, Type-3 (PCM $20^{\circ}C$), Type-4 (PCM $22^{\circ}C$), Type-5 (PCM $24^{\circ}C$), Type-6 (PCM $26^{\circ}C$), and Type-7 (PCM $28^{\circ}C$) with reference to the data analysis of the basic double skin façade which preceded this study, to analyze the indoor thermal performance of the double skin façade depending on PCM temperature and the installation or non-installation of a double skin façade applying PCM based on the selected unit space. Result: Indoor thermal performance was analyzed depending on the PCM temperature applicable to double skin façade, and the analysis of heating energy reduction showed that Type-2 (PCM $18^{\circ}C$) gained 15.9% more heat compared with Type-1 (Basic) and secondly, Type-3 (PCM $20^{\circ}C$) gained 11.5% more heat. Based on these findings, it is deemed possible that the use of energy for heating can be reduced when heat coming indoors increases during the heating period, and the appropriate temperature for PCM applied to the inner skin of a double skin façade to reduce heating energy in winter, Type-2 (PCM $18^{\circ}C$) showed the highest efficiency and Type-3 (PCM $20^{\circ}C$) was also deemed appropriate.
The objective of this study was to evaluate seasonal patterns and diel variations of fish movements in the Juksan Weir which was constructed in 2010 at the down-stream of Yeongsan-River watershed. For this study, we monitored day-and-night movement(24 Hr cycle) and seasonal fish migration(June ~ August) patterns in 2011 along with species compositions and abundances depending on the locations of the traps within the fishway. Total number of species sampled was 14 and the total number of individuals was 1,263 with only the size-fractions(as total length) of the fish < 20 cm during the study. Seasonal analysis of fish movement in the fish way showed that highest frequency in the movement occurred in June - July, which is closely associated with a spawning peak season. The most dominant species using the fishway was Squalidus chankaensis tsuchigae, and this species turned out to be 26.9% of the total in the use rate of fishway. Daily monitoring of fish movements showed that most frequent movements occurred between 18:00 PM and 21:00 PM when the fish have a feeding time generally. The migratory fish were not found in the fishway during the study. Mean current velocity during the study $0.42{\pm}0.02ms^{-1}$(n = 42), and there were no significant statistical differences(p > 0.05) among the daily and monthly velocities in the fishway. The use rate of fish passage, in terms of fish species, was 48%, compared with total sampling of fish species(29 species) at the down-river regions during the same period, indicating a low use rate. Further continuous long-term monitoring should be conducted to evaluate the impacts of the weir construction in the river.
Air temperature variation along the length of the air duct in an air-heated plastic greenhouse was large, 13 ~ 15$^{\circ}C$ between the front and the rear side of a greenhouse. To reduce this temperature variation, a new PE-film air duct having a small duct inside a large duct (double duct) was developed. This double duct was consisted of an inner duct with air outlets at a 0.15 m interval and an outer duct with air outlets at a 2.5 m interval. Diameters of the air outlet holes were 7, 15, and 35 cm from the front to the end of the inner duct film, while identical 10 cm holes were used on the outer duct film. As a result, air temperature was $46^{\circ}C$ at the beginning side and $47^{\circ}C$ at the ending side, while the conventional single duct had $53^{\circ}C$ at the beginning point and $38^{\circ}C$ at the ending point with a variation of $15^{\circ}C$. Height of a cucumber crop grown in a greenhouse with the new double air duct system was 65.5 cm, 14% increase as compared to that in a greenhouse with a conventional air duct system. Total fruit yield per l0a greenhouse in a greenhouse with the new double air duct system was 4,616 kg, which was 17% greater than that in a greenhouse with a conventional air duct system. Amount of heating oil consumption during March 3 to April 24, 2002 was 3,233 L per l0a greenhouse with the new double air duct system, which was 13% less than that with a conventional air duct system.
Pathological symptoms and hematological parameters of red sea bream, Pagrus major and water temperature in the culture ground was investigated to clarlify the cause of winter moratility. Dead fish showed green liver and accumulation of ascites in the cavity. A few Bivagina tai were also found on the gill but either bacteria or virus were not. When hematological parameters from fish taken before/after the winter mortality were compared, blood glucose, serum AST and ALT, and total cholesterol, trigyceride and total protein were significantly decreased in the fish after the winter mortality. These results may explain that the nutritional level of fish was decreased because fish could not fed during winter season. According to the CORI monitoring system operating by KODC, NFRDI a long term water temperature from Dec. 25, 2005 to Feb. 24, 2006 (60 days) were exposed the low water temperature environments to the red sea bream. First of all, mass mortality began at Sarayngdo where low temperature below 8℃ continued for 42 days. The winter mortality did not occured in the depths of 9 m to 19.2 m where difference of water temperature in the surface and bottom was only within 0.1℃. But in the depth of 7.5 m to 11 m winter mortality occured where water temperature in the surface and bottom showed much variation ranged from 0.2℃ to 1.4℃. From these results, great difference of water temperature in the surface and bottom of the culturing area might results in winter mortality of red sea bream.
