  • A design method to achieve multiple band-rejection characteristics in a wideband circular slot antenna is presented. First, a wideband circular slot antenna fed by a coplanar waveguide is designed to operate in the frequency range between 2.3 and 11GHz, which covers WLAN, WiBro, WiMAX, and UWB frequency bands. Next, resonant frequency variations of rejection bands are examined with respect to different slot locations and lengths when slots are inserted on the ground conductor and the circular patch of the antenna. When arc-shaped slots are placed close to the circular transition from a feeding part, multiple notch bands are obtained. In this case, a half of the guided wavelength of the first notch band corresponds to the slot length and other notch bands are integer-multiple of the first band. Single notch band can be obtained when the slot is located off the transition part. Based on this study, a wideband circular slot antenna with five band-rejection frequency bands at 2.45, 3.5, 4.9, 7.35, and 9.8GHz is designed and fabricated. The first arc-shaped slots are located in the ground conductor close to the circular transition from a feeding part to generate notch bands at 2.45, 4.9, 7.35, and 9.8GHz, while the second slot for 3.73 GHz is placed on top side in the circular patch. The proposed design method is validated by good agreement between the simulated and measured results.

  • Microwave GaAs Metal Semiconductor Field effect Transistors (MESFET) with the gate-length of two micrometers are investigated. The scattering parameters of the transistors have been measured from 1GHz to 2GHz by Hp8545 Automatic network analyzer. From the measured data, an equivalent circuit is established which consists of an ntrinsic and. extrinsic transistor elements. In this paper, GaAb MESFET Amplifier is used in conjunction with conventional microstrip techniques to match into a 50 ohms high input/output impedances system. We found that Power gain is less than 8dB and VSWR is less than 1.5 in L-Band.

  • In this paper, the detailed design procedure of the Y-junction stripline isolator self-contained the filter circuit in the center conductor in order to maximize attenuations below value of 30 dB at 3rd order harmonics is presented. The HFSS is used to simulate 1.8GHz band isolator and the results are compared with the measurement data. These results confirms that the designed stripline isolator is effective in achieving high attenuation above -30 dB at 3rd order harmonics. And it is obtained that the harmonic band of isolator using the ferrite of 0.16T is moved far from operating frequency more 1.2 GHz than one using the ferrite of 0.12T.

  • In this paper, we studied a wideband double-sided dipole antenna operating at 3.5 GHz (WiMAX) band. The each printed dipoles are placed on the both sides of the substrate. It can be easily implemented and is suitable for connection with an active circuit. In order to obtain wideband printed dipole characteristics, thick rectangular shaped dipole is adopted. Feeding Circuit for dipole array and balun were designed for impedance matching with a $50{\Omega}$ microstrip feed line. The antenna is designed by simulation for an operation in the frequency range of 3.4~3.7 GHz Simulation results show that the maximum gain in the 3.5 GHz band is 5.5 dBi and the bandwidth with VSWR less than 2 is about 1 GHz.

  • In this paper, for Broadband Wireles LAN dual-band antenna was designed to satisfy the bandwidth of 2.32GHz and 5.79GHz. the substrate of proposed microstrip antenna is FR-4(er=4.3) and $34mm{\times}50mm{\times}1.5mm$ size and thickness t=0.035mm, and the simulation was used for CST Microwave Studio 2014. input return loss compared -10dB less than operates at and when gain 2.32GHz -19.321dB, 5.79GHz showed the results of -13.033dB. It increased impedance matching, minimized interference between adjacent frequencies, simplified small manufacturing methods, and demonstrated the characteristics of non-directional properties. Thus the proposed antenna satisfied the -10 dB impedancebandwidth requirement while simultaneously covering the Broadband Wireless LAN.

The proposed antenna is made of $27.0{\times}54.0{\times}1.0mm3$ and is fabricated on the permittivity 4.4 FR-4 substrate. The experiment results shown that the proposed antenna obtained the -10 dB impedance bandwidth 300 MHz (1.325~1.625 GHz), 400 MHz (2.275~2.675 GHz), and 600 MHz (3.15~3.75 GHz) covering the GPS/WiMAX/WLAN bands. Also, the proposed antenna measured gain and radiation patterns characteristics for required operating bands.

  • A CMOS LNA based on a single-stage cascode configuration is designed for MB-OFDM ultra-wide band(UWB) systems. Wideband($3.1GHz\~4.9GHz$) input matching is performed using a simple bandpass filter to minimize the chip size and the noise figure degradation. The simulation results using $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS process parameters show a power gain of 9.7dB, a 3dB band width of $2.1GHz\~7.1GHz$, a minimum NF of 2dB, an IIP3 of -2dBm. better than -11.8dB of input matching while occupying only $0.74mm^2$ of chip area. It consumes 25.8mW from a 1.8V supply.
