  • Through this study, 2D multibody dynamics models for analysis of train collisions have been developed to evaluate the crashworthiness requirements of the TSI regulation. The crashworthiness regulation requires some performance requirements for two heavy collision accident scenarios; a train-to-train collision at the relative speed of 36 kph, and a collision against a standard deformable obstacle of 15 ton at 110 kph. The complete train set will be composed of hybrid model with 2D and 1D model. Using numerical analysis of the hybrid model, some crashworthy design were evaluated in terms of mean crush forces and energy absorptions for main crushable structures and devices. especially, 2D model can evaluate overriding effect in train collisions. It is shown from the simulation results that the suggested hybrid model can easily evaluate the crashworthiness requirements.

  • Based on dynamic muscle model to construct efficient face animation in this paper 30 face modelling techniques propose. Composed face muscle by faceline that connect 256 point and this point based on dynamic muscle model, and constructed wireframe because using this. After compose standard model who use wireframe, because using front side and side 2D picture, enforce texture mapping and created 3D individual face model. Used front side of characteristic points and side part for correct mapping, after make face that have texture coordinates using 2D coordinate of front side image and front side characteristic points, constructed face that have texture coordinates using 2D coordinate of side image and side characteristic points.

  • As the progress regarding spatial analysis on features such as landscape, sunlight, shadow, and direct ray using 3D simulation, it is required to research the creation of 3D terrain models crucial for 3D simulations. In this paper, we suggested the methods to create the 3D terrain model for the state after development, by transfer the 2D plan to 3D terrain model using the normal equation. Automated algorithm producing 3D terrain model from 2D plan was developed. And It is expected to be needed more studies detailed.

  • For the reuse of the existing 3D block model of a ship, we analyze the hull modeling process using AVEVA Marine which is a representative CAD (Computer-Aided Design) system for the shipbuilding. In the AVEVA Marine environment where the design engineer makes 3D model on the 2D view that is so-called 2.5D, it cannot be possible to copy to reuse the block model just simply copying the 3D feature model itself like in the general mechanical CAD system or Smart Marine 3D which are on the basis of the 3D model representation. In this paper, we analyze the scheme file where the 3D model is defined in AVEVA Marine so that we develop the program for the block copy and the translation using this scheme file. It is significant that this program can be immediately available as a real-world application on the AVEVA Marine environment.

  • The superconducting synchronous machine(S.S.M) including generator and motor has different electromagnetic structure from the conventional machine. With the help of superconductor having much higher operating current density than normal conductor, S.S.M can eliminate most of iron core filling inside of the conventional machine. This air-cored structure could be analysed and designed theoretically based on 2-dimensional(2-D) magnetic field distribution assuming that the windings are extended infinitely toward the axial direction. However the actual structure of S.S.M has the end regions interconnecting the straight parts of the same cross-section with the 2-D model. Therefore, this actual 3-D model has smaller field distribution than the 2-D model. In this paper, we consider the effect of the end regions on the output of a HTS model motor and suggest more accurate design approach through comparison of 2-D and 3-D magnetic field analysis.

  • This study is to examine how well the hydrologic model reproduces the dam collapse. To do this, A hydrologic model FLO-2D is being operated to reproduce dam collapse with rainfall data and surface data in a small dam. In order to examine the performance of the model, the simulation was compared and reviewed with the data collected through the field survey. The results show that it takes about 2 hours to reach 1 km downstream. Inundation areas are about 188,640 m2 by the simulation and the difference from the field investigation is about 6.1%. Ten representative points were selected from the areas where the simulation and the field survey did not match. The discrepancy is less than about 0.08 m and does not appear to be significant. This study will present basic information on disaster preparedness operation and planning to minimize damage caused by sudden collapse of agricultural soil dams in the future.

  • In this paper, we consider the Cauchy problem to the tropical climate model. We establish the global regularity for the 2D tropical climate model with generalized nonlocal dissipation of the barotropic mode and obtain a multi-logarithmical vorticity blow-up criterion for the 2D tropical climate model without any dissipation of the barotropic mode.

  • Currently used 3D models, which are mostly focused on visualization of 3D objects and lack topological structure, have limitation in being used for 3D spatial analyses and applications. However, implementing a full topology for the indoor spatial objects is less practical due to the increase of complexity and computation time. This study suggests an alternative method to build a 3D indoor model with less complexity using a spatial DBMS. Storing spatial and nonspatial information of indoor spaces in DB tables enables faster queries, computation and analyses. Also it is possible to display them in 2D or 3D using the queried information. This study suggests a 2D-3D hybrid data model, which combines the 2D topology constructed from CAD floor plans and stored in a spatial DBMS and the 3D visualization functionality. This study showed the process to build the proposed model in a spatial DBMS and use spatial functions and queries to visualize in 2D and 3D. And, then, as an example application, it illustrated the process to build an indoor evacuation simulator.

  • In this paper, we propose a method to stabilize the 3D pose estimation result of a 3D volumetric data sequence by matching the pose estimation results from multi-view. Draw a circle centered on the volumetric model and project the model from the viewpoint at regular intervals. After performing Openpose 2D pose estimation on the projected 2D image, the 2D joint is matched to localize the 3D joint position. The tremor of 3D joints sequence according to the angular spacing was quantified and expressed in graphs, and the minimum conditions for stable results are suggested.
