Oil is used in various industries, including the agricultural sector, food industry, and functional cosmetics. These oils are chemically unstable and prone to oxidation when exposed to oxygen, light, moisture, or high temperatures. Therefore, various attempts have been made to encapsulate them so that they are not exposed to such environments. When oil is injected into a refrigerant with greater density, the oil can be encapsulated as it rises due to buoyancy caused by the density difference. In this study, oil encapsulation was simulated to find the optimal conditions for operating equipment using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for multiphase flows. Water or serum can be used as a refrigerant. The viscosity of water is relatively small, and if it is used as a refrigerant, oil droplets can be produced well even if oil and water are continuously injected in the equipment. However, the viscosity of serum is very high, and if it is used, the oil is stretched out and does not leave the nozzle. The results show that when using serum as a cooling medium, oil encapsulation is possible if the injection is stopped for some time after instantaneous injection at high speed.

This study investigated the enhanced combustion efficiency of an "air-cooled combustion system" with single F.D. fan, and performed a numerical analysis for the operation and design conditions to increase the combustion efficiency. The combustion efficiency in an actual combustor was compared before and after the structure modification. Numerical analysis for application of a single fan revealed the difficulty of forming a turbulence for circular combustion conditions. This is because the supply ratio of combustion air supplied into 2 flow paths becomes irregular in the combustion furnace due to a change in friction force and pressure in each flow path. Subsequently, two methods of supplying air into the combustion furnace were analyzed numerically to obtain the optimal combustion conditions of an air-cooled combustion system. The first method involved injecting the preheated combustion air after a 180~360 degree rotation from the outer wall, whereas in the second method, the combustion air was injected into the combustion furnace in a tangential direction after primary heat exchange outside the combustion furnace, by applying a rotatable vane structure in the combustion furnace. Results reveal that application of a single F.D. fan to the air injection into a rotatable combustion furnace is desirable for optimization of the combustion conditions for applying a duct structure having a dual cooling wall for the cooling of the outer wall of the combustion furnace, and for maintaining perfect mixing in the combustion furnace. We therefore confirmed enhanced combustion efficiency by comparing the actual combustion efficiency before and after structure modification.
The thermal effect on the compositional change of the $SO_2$ absorption process product was investigated compared with the composition of raw material when dolomite is employed in place of lime in the scrubbing process based on thermodynamic estimation. It was considered that the equilibrium reactions which directly related with the formation of $CaSO_4$ and $MgSO_4$, the absorption process products, are those between $Ca^{2+}$ and $Ca(OH)_2$, $Mg^{2+}$ and $Mg(OH)_2$, and the secondary dissociation reaction of $H_2SO_4$. It was thought to be necessary to examine the enthalpy change for the formation reactions of $CaSO_4$ and $MgSO_4$ along with the thermal feature of the relative reactions to figure out the influence of temperature on the compositional change of absorption process products. The stable regions for $Ca(OH)_2$ and $Mg(OH)_2$ in Pourbaix diagram were found to be increased as temperature rises and the equilibrium reaction between $Ca^{2+}$ and $Ca(OH)_2$ was investigated to be more strongly influence by temperature change compared with the equilibrium reaction between $Mg^{2+}$ and $Mg(OH)_2$. The amounts of $CaSO_4$ and $MgSO_4$ were anticipated to be decreased with temperature considering the thermal characteristics for the equilibrium reactions regarding calcium, magnesium, and $H_2SO_4$. It was understood that the formation ratio between $CaSO_4$ and $MgSO_4$ is greater than the composition ratio between calcium and magnesium contained in dolomite at specific temperature and the decrease of the formation ratio of $CaSO_4$ and $MgSO_4$ with temperature was estimated to be diminished as the content of calcium in dolomite is increased. In addition, the extent of the change in the compositional ratio between absorption process products was examined to be reduced compared with the composition of raw material as the calcium content in dolomite is raised.

The effect of local forcing on the separated flow over a backward-facing step is investigated through hot-wire measurements and flow visualization with multi-smoke wires. The boundary layer upstream of the separation point is laminar and the Reynolds number based on the free stream velocity and the step height is 13800. The local forcing is given from a slit located at the step edge and the forcing signal is always defined when the wind tunnel is in operation. In case of single frequency forcing, the streamwise velocity and the reattachment length are measured under forcing with various forcing frequencies. For the range of 0.010〈S $t_{\theta}$〈0.013, the forcing frequency component of the streamwise velocity fluctuation grows exponentially and is saturated at x/h = 0.75 , while its subharmonic component grows following the fundamental and is saturated at x/h = 2.0. However, the saturated value of the subharmonic is much lower than that of the fundamental. It is observed that the vortex formation is inhibited by the forcing at S $t_{\theta}$ = 0.019 . For double frequency forcing, natural instability frequency is adopted as a fundamental frequency and its subharmonic is superposed on it. The fundamental frequency component of the streamwise velocity grows exponentially and is saturated at 0.5 < x/h < 0.75, while its subharmonic component grows following the fundamental and is saturated at x/h= 1.5 . Furthermore, the saturated value of the subharmonic component is much higher than that for the single frequency forcing and is nearly the same or higher than that of the fundamental. It is observed that the subharmonic component does not grow for the narrow range of the initial phase difference. This means that there is a range of the initial phase difference where the vortex parring cannot be enhanced or amplified by double frequency forcing. In addition, this effect of the initial phase difference on the development of the shear layer and the distribution of the reattachment length shows a similar trend. From these observations, it can be inferred that the development of the shear layer and the reattachment length are closely related to the vortex paring.
This work was conducted to evaluate the hatching and growing performance of Korean native chicken (KNC) 3 strains crossbred. A total of 360 female pullets were produced from $\times$ (A), CL $\times$ C (B), CG $\times$ C (C) and CW $\times$ C (D) crossbred kept in National Institute of Animal Science, Korea. Hatchability of A, B, C and D were 69.8, 70.7, 75.5 and 77.4%, respectively. Livability were not significantly different by 20 weeks among 4 strains. Body weight B was high compared to other strains at 20 weeks. The feed conversion ratio of 4 strains was no significantly different among strains at 20 weeks. These results suggested the basic data that needed to develope the new strains.
This experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of dietary supplementation of the black soldier fly (bsf) larvae on growth performance, carcass rate, and fatty acid profile of chicken meat in broiler chicks. Four hundred eighty 1-d-old broilers (Ross 308) were distributed into 3 treatments with 4 pens at 30 birds per replicate. Treatments were corn-soybean meal based broiler diet (control) and the basal diet replaced with bsf at the level of 3 and 6% respectively. Viability was not different significantly. Body weight gain was higher in control than other treatments. Feed intake was not statistically different of treatments. Feed conversion ratio was lower in control than other treatments. Relative weight of breast meat was significantly increased in all treated groups than in control. But, another relative weights of chicken meat cuts (thigh, wing, neck, back) were not significantly different among the groups. In conclusion, it could be suggested that dietary supplementation of black soldier flylarvae could beneficially improved the performance on broiler.
Introduction of new design tools has been required to optimally design and operate the ventilation system of long vehicle tunnels.. The demand has led to wide spread use of the simulation technique throughout the would to analysis the dynamic relationship among the variables associated with vehicle tunnel ventilation. This paper aims at performing on-site study at local tunnels to test the applicability of NETVEN, a simulation model vehicle tunnel ventilation. The study was carried out at four urban as well as highway tunnels model of vehicle tunnel ventilation. The study was carried out at four urban as well as highway tunnels employing different ventilation systems as well as traffic methods. There were some discrepancies sound between the simulation output and measurements and the following four factors are considered to mainly cause those disagreement. (1) The real situation shows distinctive transient and retarding characteristics with respect to air flow and contaminant dispersion, while ventilation forces are not steady-state and in particular those traffic and climatic variables show significant instantaneous variation. (3) Near the exit portal, the CO levels show bigger differences. The general trend is that data with higher CO concentrations carry bigger discrepancies. Turbulent diffusion is though to be the main reason for it and also contribute to the fact hat the highest CO concentrations are found at the locations somewhat inward, not at the exit portals. (4) Higher traffic rate results in higher discrepancies of ventilation velocity. Along with the exhaust characteristics, the vehicle aerodynamic characteristics need to be studied continuously in order to reduce the velocity disagreement.

The objectives of this study were to investigate the standard and roof vent type of multi-span greenhouse and to analyze the characteristics of natural ventilation of multi-span greenhouse with different roof vent using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) code. The vent area proportion of surveyed farms averaged 10%, it was analyzed that the vent design for natural ventilation is insufficient. The results of natural ventilation efficiency of multi-span greenhouse according to roof vent type showed that the temperature of the position in which the crops grew was the lowest in the conical roof vent type and the highest in the half conical roof vent type. For the natural ventilation effect, the conical roof vent type was the best one, but the structural stability should be evaluated in light of wind load.
The purpose of this study has placed its meaning in the use as the basic material for the research of the person's facial expressions, by researching and analyzing the visual reactions of recognition of children according to the facial expressions of emotion and by surveying the verbal reactions of boys and girls according to the individual expressions of emotion. The subjects of this study were 108 children at the age of 6 - 8 (55 males, 53 females) who were able to understand the presented research tool, and the response survey conducted twice were used in the method of data collection by individual interviews and self administered questionnaires. The research tool using in the questionnaires were classified into 6 types of joy, sadness, anger, surprise, disgust, and fear which could derive the specific and accurate responses. Regarding children's visual reactions of recognition, both of boys and girls showed the high frequency in the facial expressions of joy, sadness, anger, surprise, and the low frequency in fear, disgust. Regarding verbal reactions, it showed the high frequency in the heuristic responses either to explore or the responds to the impressive parts reminiscent to the facial appearances in all the joy, sadness, anger, surprise, disgust, fear. And it came out that the imaginary responses created new stories reminiscent to the facial expression in surprise, disgust, and fear.
The Web has taken a strong post as one of the media for advertisement for long time. The Internet has an advantage of an easy access to each of customers; the fractioning of the potential customers; the transcending of the time and space; and the utilizing of the multimedia. As such, the Web as a communication tool has not only all characteristics of the existing media but also the factors such as the sound, motion, and interaction. Therefore the Web designing should be much more flexible and open than any other medias. Nevertheless, most of the Webs being created currently appear to be simply perfunctory and functional. This is because a methodological aspect has not been rooted firmly as the Web design industry has been developed too rapidly, driven by the explosive demand. Therefore, this study is designed to demonstrate the approaching method to the Web-interface designing as an alternative for such methodological aspect. In other words, it is the very stillness-motion interface designing of the Web, based on the e-advertisement concept. The Web as one of the media for advertisement gives the heaviest weight to the users emotional aspects than any other media do. Therefore, it is very important to get the differentiation and impact in the Web-interface designing through the users emotional aspects.
