A Gap analysis of Logistics Functions between Expected Service level and Perceived Service Level (물류서비스 품질에 대한 물류기능별 기대수준과 인지수준에 대한 차이 분석 연구)

  • More manufacturing companies tend to outsource their logistics functions to logistics service providers to ensure their own competitiveness than before. This paper investigates the differences between customer perceptions and expectations on three key logistics outsourcing decisions. For testing logistics service qualities, a research model which employs a SERVQUAL model was developed and a survey targeting manufacturing companies has been conducted. The average difference of logistics service level between customer perceptions and expectations was derived as 8% from a result of gap analyses. The findings here reveal the level of service quality of Korean logistics service providers as well as suggest core capabilities for them in order for gaining a competitive edge on the competitors and improving their performances.

  • The purpose of this paper is to study on the third party logistics service enforcement of inland container depot at Pusan area. The main results of this paper are as follows: First, the inland container depot related to location selecting factor researches analyzed and korean TPL market reviewed. Second, the TPL service function reinforcement method and investments are mentioned. In detail the 9 factors are as follows: competitive high position and improvements of harbor back complex, ICD goods enterprise investment strategies, the harbor back which is inexpensive only the rent, taxes benefit and incentive, site security and base facility expansion, the goods service provision which is flexible, connection plan construction of goods enterprise, the incentive strategic establishment which is discriminated, the marketing activity which is long-term. and lastly the ICD and TPL Policy are needed that government and logistic enterprise's cooperation gains competitive advantage.

  • 최근 산업, 무역 및 유통 기업들은 수 많은 물류 자원에 IT 기술이 도입되어 운용되고 있다. 이러한 기업들은 물류 비용을 절감하기 위해 자동차 생산 분류와 물류 수송 부분으로 이어진다. 물류 분야 중 자동차 생산 분류에 선재 관리를 통해 기업과 기업으로 서로 운송되어 분류되어 있으며, 차량 선재 분배를 위해 POS에서 나온 데이터를 바코드를 사용하게 된다. 그러나, 이러한 선재의 문제점은 작업자의 분류지를 일일이 보면서 확인을 통해 작업을 하고 있으며, 작업자의 누락 혼합 발생된 물류 납품시 타사 기업으로 선재의 혼합, 누락 등으로 2차적 피해가 발생하게 된다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 차량 선재의 분류에 대한 2D 스캐너 기반의 프로세서와 시스템을 포함하고 선재 물류 분류 장치를 통해 특성을 설계하고 현장을 개선하고자 한다.

  • 전 세계적인 기후변화 협약과 정부의 저탄소 녹색성장 정책으로 물류기업은 탄소배출량 감축을 위한 노력을 해야 할 시대에 직면하고 있다. 특히 화주기업에 대한 서비스제공과 화주의 경영 가치 실현에 공헌해야 할 제3자 물류기업은 기업자체의 경쟁력뿐 아니라 화주기업의 탄소경영에 이바지하기 위해서라도 이산화탄소 배출량을 감축하는 노력을 해야 한다. 탄소 배출량을 감축하기 위해서는 제3자 물류기업의 특성에 맞는 탄소배출량을 산정해야 하고 이러한 산정방법이 공정하고 일관성 있는 체계로 실행되어야 한다. 이산화탄소 배출량을 산출하기 위해서는 탄소경계 설정과 연료별, 연비법, 톤-킬로미터법 등 다양한 계산방식을 적용해야 하는데, 본 연구에서는 제3자 물류기업의 현실에 맞는 이산화탄소 배출량 산정 모형에 대하여 연구하였다.

  • Recently leading edge companies use the Supply Chain Management as a competitive weapon to secure and maintain customer loyalty. As a consequency they are concentrating resources on the company’s core business and employing strategic alliances with third-party providers to ensure the company provides its customers’desired logistics service levels at acceptable costs. Under this circumstances this paper surveys the third party logistics as a leading edge logistics industry coping with the progress of the supply chain management. The status and the type of the TPL including the Forwarder are analyzed in the view point of global logistics. Also the development strategy of third party logistics in the future is suggested.

미리보는 2006 한국국제물류 및 유통산업전

  • 오는 5월 18일부터 20일까지 한국국제 전시장에서 3년만에 물류기업의 축제 '2006 한국국제물류 및 유통산업전'이 개최된다. 한국물류협회와 한국유통물류진흥원이 주최하고 (주)월드전람, (사)한국디스플레이협회, 한국점포장치물협의회가 주관하는 이번 전시회에는 국내외 물류관련 관계자 5만여명이 방문할 것으로 기대하고 있다. 물류기업들의 관심이 큰 이번 전시회의 모습을 5월호, 7월호 2회에 걸쳐 지면을 통해 선보이며, 이번호에는 참가예정인 일부기업들을 소개하고자 한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 L-마트 상온 제품 종합물류센터 실시설계 대안별 검증을 통해 신뢰성을 향상하고 추가 보완사항을 발굴하여 개선하고 설계의 편의를 제공하기 위한 시뮬레이션 모델을 개발하여 물류센터 설비 및 레이아웃, 운영 방안에 대해 종합적인 대안을 제시하였다. 다양한 대안 검증을 위해 유연한 구조의 시뮬레이션 모델을 설계하였으며, 컨베이어 소터의 처리량과 컨베이어 선적 작업자와 컨베이어 하역 작업자의 이용률 및 필요 인원, 각 입/출고도크의 이용률 등을 컨베이어 소터 운영의 성능평가 요소로 정의 하였으며, 비소터 물량을 처리하는 수작업장의 운영의 성능평가 요소로서는 작업자의 이용률과 입고도크의 이용률을 반영하였다. 마지막으로 팔레트 물량을 처리하는 팔레트 작업에서는 팔레트 운반장비의 이용률과 입고도크의 이용률을 성능평가 요소로 반영하였다. 시뮬레이션 모델에서는 물류센터 설비 대안, Layout 변화에 따른 특성 분석을 반영하여 L-마트 물류센터 운영 프로세스를 정의하였다. 개발된 시뮬레이션 모델에서는 입력 데이터의 분석과 시뮬레이션 모델의 신뢰성 검증을 위해 운영을 위한 파라미터를 설정하고, 실제감이 있는 2D Animation을 통해 시뮬레이션 상의 물류의 이상 발생을 시각화하여 보여주도록 하였다. 시뮬레이션의 결과치에 대한 평가 요소 및 대안별 정량적 분석을 통해 L-마트 상온 제품 종합물류센터의 종합적인 운영방안을 제시하였다

  • This study is to develop a curriculum for training workers in the port logistics field. NSC is a standardized method improving the capability and knowledge scientifically and systematically in order for individual to carry out its own job and task successfully. To develop a curriculum for workers in the port logistics field, the following methodology is used. First, questionnaire is carried out. Second, a MECE method is used to draw out a proper education programme. This study can contribute to improving the job capability of employers working at the port logistics industry. Further, it can improve firms' competitive power and furthermore national competitive edge by introducing the filed-oriented training programme to port logistics industry. In the future, a developed education is to be applied and evaluated through more intensified industry, academy, research linkage.

A Study of the Overseas Entry Strategies of Freight Forwarders (국제물류주선업의 해외진출 전략에 관한 연구)

  • This study proposes effective overseas market entry strategies that could allow Korean logistics companies to develop international capabilities and become global firms by adapting to environmental changes in global logistics. First, it reviews the overseas networks of Korean international freight forwarders and the recent trends in the global logistics market. Then, it surveys the conditions of two groups of freight forwarders, namely partnerships and subsidiaries, which are categorized according to type of entry into foreign markets. These companies' networks are concentrated in East and Southeast Asia regardless of network type. As a result, the ability for partnerships to network is higher than that of subsidiaries. However, subsidiaries are small in number and located in various regions because of their initial stage, which is why their businesses depend on the price competitiveness of the parent company. The satisfaction and performance of subsidiaries are both generally low according to the presented findings. In addition, the successful strategies of international freight forwarders include following operations, specializing their logistics services, building collaborations among small and medium-sized companies, recruiting and training professional human resources in international logistics, and entering markets together with their customers. Overall, this study highlights the importance of measuring and evaluating objectively the level and performance of overseas networking through a survey about the internationalization of Korean freight forwarder companies. To conclude, this study is considered to contribute to raising their global competitiveness by suggesting strategies derived from the survey findings and SWOT analysis.

A Study on the Efficiency of Domestic Logistics Companies and their Influence in Logistics Networks : Focusing on the comparison of second-party logistics companies and third-party logistics companies (국내 물류기업의 효율성과 물류네트워크 내 영향력에 관한 연구 : 2자 물류기업과 3자 물류기업 비교를 중심으로)

  • Recently, third-party logistics and second-party logistics are well known as a form of logistics service. However, there are several opinions about the effectiveness of second-party logistics and third-party logistics. In this study, the efficiency of second-party logistics companies and third-party logistics companies, which are the main providers of logistics services, was compared and the sales impact on the logistics market was measured. Efficiency was measured using DEA's CCR and BCC models. Debt and equity were used as input variables, and sales, operating profit, and net income were used as output variables. As a result of measuring the efficiency of logistics companies, the efficiency of third-party logistics companies was higher than that of second-party logistics companies in 2019 and 2020, and it had a positive effect on the rate of change in sales.
