Evaluation of Muscle Fatigue Recovery Effect and Meridian Potential Change using Magnetic Acupuncture System (자화침 시스템을 이용한 경락전위 유발효과 및 근피로 회복 평가)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this research was to develop the magnetic acupuncture system which used solenoid coil for magnetizing acupuncture needle. The system could generate the meridian electric potential (MEP) similar to the potential by manual acupuncture. Thus, we tried to confirm the therapeutic effect that is caused by the MEP generation. Methods : To confirm the MEP, we stimulated the magnetic acupuncture with at 2Hz, $92.7{\pm}2mT$, PEMFs (Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Fields) at ST37 and measured the evoked potential between ST36 and ST41. Also, we conducted a fatigue recovery test using isokinetic exercise in order to identify the therapeutic effect on musculoskeletal disorders. We chose LR9 as a stimulation point. To observe the state of fatigue, we measured the EMG and analyzed median frequency and peak torque for 20minutes. Results : We observed that MEP which incurred from magnetic acupuncture was higher than he reported MEP induced by manual acupuncture. Moreover, its modes were divided into two types by the direction of magnetic flux. When generating magnetic flux in the direction of acupoint, the positive peak voltage of the MEP was generated. In contrast, negative peak voltage of the MEP was generated whenever meganetic flux generated in the outward direction. As a result of fatigue recovery, the median frequency (MF) of the magnetic acupuncture group were recovered faster than that of the non-stimulation group. However, the peak torques of both groups were not restored until after 20 minutes. Conclusions : We confirmed that the magnetic acupuncture system can lead to the MEP similar to manual acupuncture. Moreover, the MEP had a therapeutic effect on the musculoskeletal disorders.

Growth and Yield Characteristics of Foxtail Millet, Proso Millet, Sorghum and Rice in Paddy-Upland Rotation (답전윤환에서의 조, 수수, 기장 및 벼의 생육 및 수량)

  • In order to develop optimum paddy-upland rotation system, we evaluated the 1st and the 2nd upland growth and yield characteristics of foxtail millet, proso millet, sorghum rotated from paddy field and rice rotated from upland in paddy-upland rotation. Average number of ears per hill was 3.3 in the 2nd upland cultivation. The value was greater by 1 ear as compared to 1st upland cultivation (2.2 ears per hill). In average yield per 10a, the 2nd upland cultivation showed 220.3 kg, 23% increased yield compared to the 1st upland cultivation (179 kg per 10a). In average number of ears per hill, the 2nd upland cultivation showed 8.3 ears, increased 4 ears compared to the 1st upland cultivation (4.2 ears per hill). In average yield per 10a, the 2nd upland cultivation showed 152.8 kg, 16.8% increased yield compared to the 1st upland cultivation (130.8 kg per 10a). In average days from seeding to heading of 5 sorghum varieties, there were no significant difference between the 1st (68.6 days) and the 2nd (67.4 days) upland cultivation rotated from paddy field. In the average number of grains per ears, the 2nd upland cultivation showed 2,931.6 grains per ear, 12% increased compared to the 1st upland cultivation (2,619.6 grains per ears). Average yield per 10a of sorghum in the 2nd upland cultivation showed 242.3 kg, 4.6% increased compared to the 1st upland cultivation (231.7 kg per 10a). In growth and yield characteristics of rice in paddy-upland rotation, culm length in paddy-upland-paddy plot showed 82.9 cm, 7.3 cm longer compared to the continuous rice paddy field (75.6 cm). Ear length was also 1 cm longer than that of the continuous rice paddy field. In average number of ears per hill, paddy-upland-paddy plot showed 25.0 ears, 4.3 ears more than that of the continuous rice paddy field (20.7 ears per hill). In average yield of rice per 10a, the paddy-upland-paddy rotation plot showed 526.8 kg, 9.8% higher yield compared to the continuous rice paddy field (479.9 kg per 10a).

Infection control by type of dental institution (치과의료기관 유형별 감염관리 이행실태)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the infection control system and actual conditions according to the type of dental medical institution. Methods: From April 1st to May 10th, 2020, dental institutions were recruited through stratified random sampling. Each item constituting the infection control system by dental institution type was analyzed using the chi-square test and fisher's exact test. Results: The infection control system and operation level of each dental institution type was 89.0 points for university-general hospitals, 75.6 points for dental hospitals, and 34.4 points for dental clinics. The environment management levels were 76.1, 72.5, 73.0, and 74.0 points for university-general hospitals, similar to 77.2, 75.1, 71.0, and 73.8 points for dental hospitals, while dental clinics had 61.1, 40.0, 37.0, and 45.6 points. Prevention and management of staff infection exposure, wearing personal protective equipment, and hand hygiene levels were 90.7, 75.5, 88.5 points for university-general hospitals, 79.8, 79.5, 80.4 points for dental hospitals, and 50.2, 88.0, 61.5 points for dental clinics, respectively. Conclusions: Efforts are required to bring about improvement in the areas of insufficient infection control in order to raise the overall infection control levels, especially the management of dental clinics is urgently needed.

  • Many scientists today say that converged technologies, not specifically dedicated technologies, will be in the vanguard in the $21^{st}$ century. Technological Convergence is the merging of different areas of technology to perform similar tasks. Since we are living in the era of Technological Convergence, it is time for us to think about how to cope with the daily demands we are facing in science parks. Technological Convergence is a mega trend in commercial areas today but, so far, no science parks seem to have tried to reshape their management policies or programs in order to utilize this trend. For the development of science parks we suggest some tasks such as: identify potentials for Technological Convergence, establish a convergent ecosystem by building connections across stove-piped systems, effect a technological convergence platform, and conduct further research for strengthening plans for converging technologies.

  • The main objectives of this study are to present the new geodetic coordinate system, reference ellipsoid, and the basic scheme about the determination of official coordinates of geodetic control points. Moreover, provisional official coordinates on the basis of precise geodetic survey (1st and 2nd order geodetic networks) are proposed.

  • In this paper, an optimal suspension system with preview of the road input is synthesized for a half tracked vehicle. The main goal of this research is to improve the ride comfort characteristics of a fast moving tracked vehicle in order to maintain the driver's driving capability. Several different kinds of preview control algorithms are evaluated with active or semi-active suspension systems. The road information estimated from the motion of the 1st road-wheel is adequate to make the best use of the preview control algorithm for tracked vehicles. The ride-comfort characteristics of the tracked vehicle are more dependent on pitching angular acceleration than heaving acceleration. The pitching motion is reduced by the suspension system with hard outer suspensions and soft inner suspensions. Simulation results show that the performance of sky-hook algorithms for ride comfort nearly follow that of full state feedback algorithms.

  • For evaluation of rotational accuracy performance of high speed machine tool spindle system, the characteristics of main spindle and tool motion behavior are presented by means of three point accuracy testing method. The results of experiments and analyses are as follows: (1) The high speed spindle rotational accuracy can be evaluated by the combination of the spindle and tool motion behavior. (2) The spindle motion behavior increases up to more that 4 times the tool motion behavior. (3) For the influence of oil viscosity on spindle and tool taper application, 32 cSt of oil viscosity showed the most satisfactory result for rotational accuracy. (4) In order to improve the rotational accuracy of high speed machine tool spindle system, it is needed to reduce the combination error. This can be achieved by improving the working accuracy and supplying the proper lubrication with contact area at the spindle and tool.

  • Numerical simulation is conducted to clarify the heat transfer and fluid flow characteristics of HVAC(Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning) for double' deck train. The HVAC system is installed under the roof of carbody. In the lay-out of HVAC system, air duct must be installed to supply air to 1st and 2nd floor respectively. The standard k-$\epsilon$ and LES models for turbulence and SIMPLE algorithm for pressure equation hased on finite volume method are used to solve the physic a] HVAC model. To assure convergence, QUICK scheme for momentum equation and the 2nd order upwind scheme for turbulent equations arc used. From the results of simulation, the temperature and velocity magnitude are also distributed uniformly in the interior of double-deck passenger car.

  • This paper proposes a new algorithm that finds fuzzy control law of the system in which little knowledge has been known. In view or conventional fuzzy method, making control law needs the sense and the knowledge of the system which are provided by expert. But fuzzy control using proposed algorithm needs no expert for hating control law. After construction of the 1st order approximated ARMA model using input-output pairs, new defuzzification method is applied. The deduced rule is stored in fuzzy input space and updated by the proposed algorithm adaptively. To show the validity and effectiveness of proposed control method. simulation result is presented.

  • In this paper, we propose a new method to deal with the optimized auto-tuning for the PID controller which is used to the process-control in various fields. First of all, in this method, 1st order delay system with dead time which is modelled from the unit step response of the system is $Pad'{e}$-approximated, then initial values are determined by the Ziegler-Nickels method. So deciding binary strings of parents generation using by the fitness values of genetic algorithms, we perform selection, crossover and mutation to generate the descendant generation. The advantage of this method is better than the Ziegler-Nickels method in characteristic of output, and has extent of applying without limit of K, L, T parameters.
