In this paper, we analyzed the error rate performance of convolution coded 16 QAM signal with Optimum Threshold Detection with maximum ratio combining diversity in Rician Fading Environments. The performance of 16-QAM signal with CTD (conventional threshold detection) which employs convolution coding technique was analyzed and the performance improvement of convolution coded 16-QAM signal with OTD (optimum threshold detection) which is varied according to fading parameter "K" and AWGN in Rician Fading channel was simulated. As a result of analysis, it was shown the effect of performance improvement to overcome the environment of mobile radio data communication channel.

This study is performed to investigate the effects of citrus essential oils on melanin production in B16 melanoma cells. Five kinds of citrus essential oils (Bergamot, Grapefruit, Lemon, Mandarin, Petigrain) did not have any influence on DPPH radical scavenger activity, cell growth and cytotoxicity in B16 melanoma cells. Both mandarin and petigrain essential oils dose-dependently inhibited purified tyrosinase activity, but bergamot did not. In 1$\mu$M MSH-stimulated B16 melanoma cells, all of 5 citrus essential oils inhibited melanin production in a dose dependent manner. From the above results, it is possible that citrus essential oils may be developed to be an anti-melanogenesis agent on the basis of their inhibitory effect on MSH-induced melanin production.

Taxonomic identification is fundamental to all microbiology studies. Particularly in metagenomics, which identifies the composition of microorganisms using thousands of sequences, its importance is even greater. Identification is inevitably affected by the choice of database. This study was conducted to evaluate the accuracy of three widely used 16S databases-Greengenes, Silva, and EzBioCloud-and to suggest basic guidelines for selecting reference databases. Using public mock community data, each database was used to assign taxonomy and to test its accuracy. We show that EzBioCloud performs well compared with other existing databases.

다양한 기능의 휴대 단말 기기와 무선 환경의 보급으로 무선 인터넷 서비스에 대한 사용자들의 요구가 증가하고 있다. 이와 관련하여 IEEE 802.16 표준은 사용자에게 대용량 데이터 서비스를 제공하기 위한 무선 기술을 정의하고 있다. 또한, IEEE 802.16에 MS의 핸드오버 절차를 추가한 EEE 802.16e 표준 기술은 MS에 대한 핸드오버 절차를 지원하고 있다. 그러나 이러한 핸드오버 절차는 MS이 Serving BS과의 연결을 종료한 이후, 새로운 Target BS에 대한 핸드오버 절차를 수행하므로 사용자는 일시적인 데이터 전송 중단으로 인한 서비스 지연을 경험한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하고, 사용자에 대한 빠른 핸드오버 절차를 지원하기 위해 주변 BS들의 위치 정보를 MOB_NBR-ADV를 통하여 MS에게 전송하고, 이를 통해 각 BS들에 대한 MS의 접근 정도를 평가하여 특정한 BS에 대해서만 Association을 수행할 수 있는 기법을 제안한다.

In this paper, we propose an app application for classifying Korean food images and providing information related to Korean food. App Application consists of Flask server, Database (Mysql), and Python deep learning modules. Using the VGG16 model, 150 images of Korean foods are classified. If there is an internet environment, anyone can easily get information about Korean food anytime, anywhere with a single photo.

IEEE 802.16 BWA(Broadband Wireless Access) 기반에서 QoS를 보장하기 위한 연구는 매우 중요하고 활발히 전개되고 있는 분야 중 하나이다. 현재 IEEE 802.16 Standard 기반의 QoS 보장을 위한 여러 메커니즘들이 정의되어 있지만, 단순한 정의일 뿐, 실제 시스템의 설계는 설계자의 몫으로 남겨져 있다. 또한 현재 설계되어있는 메커니즘들은 현재 여러 가지 부분에서 취약성을 보이고 있다. 또한 현재의 메커니즘들은 일반적인 인터넷환경에 맞추어져 있고, IPTV 서비스만을 위한 특화는 되어있지 못하다. 따라서 이 논문은 IEEE 802.16기반을 이용한 IPTV 서비스를 제공할 때 QoS를 보장하기 위한 연구를 하여 IPTV 서비스에서의 MPEG 서비스 제공시 높은 대역폭 사용을 위한 요청(Request) & 할당(Distribute) 알고리즘을 제안한다.

본 논문에서는 16채널 혹은 8채널의 센서를 통해 들어오는 저주파대역의 아날로그 신호를 수집하고. 수집된 데이터를 실시간으로 처리하기 위한 고속의 신호처리 기능이 결합된 통합 DSP (Digital Signal Processor)시스템을 구현하였다. 구현된 시스템은 휴대가 용이하도록 소형으로 설계되어 있으며 노트북 등의 이동형 장비에 활용되도록 USB 인터페이스를 채택하였으며, 장치간의 네트워크 구성이 가능하도록 Ethernet 인터페이스를 추가하였다 Digital Signal Processor는 Texas Instrument 사의 TMS320C6701 부동소수점 연산방식의 고성능 DSP를 사용하여 16채널의 실시간 신호 분석이 가능하게 하였으며, ICP 센서 구동용 전류 공급부를 내장하여 센서 선택의 폭을 넓히었고, programmable gain amplifier인 PGA202증폭기를 사용하여 입력신호가 작을 경우 최대 1000배, 즉 60dB까지 입력신호를 증폭하여 수집 및 분석할 수 있다. 200kSPS의 샘플링 레이트와 16bit resolution을 가지는 AD976 A/D converter를 사용하여 채널당 0～6kHz의 신호대역폭을 가지며,differential 입력시 8 채널,single ended 입력시 16 채널의 입력 신호의 수집 및 분석이 가능하다. Windows 응용프로그램에서는 사용자가 원하는 입력신호 및 스펙트럼 실시간 분석, 입력신호 기록 및 저장, RPM 측정 및 분석, 외부 트리거 및 레벨 트리거를 이용한 입력신호 제어와 수집된 데이터를 바탕으로 원하는 제어가 가능한 응용프로그램 제작에 활용될 라이브러리가 포함된다.

The relationships between the phytoplasmas infecting Zizyphus jujuba and Paulownia coreana were investigated by PCR-RELP. The 16S rRNA genes of the phytoplasmas were analyzed and compared with each other after PCR amplification. The amplified bands 1.4 kb in size were analyzed by both restriction digestion and sequencing after cloning into a plasmid vector. In some cases, two different kinds of inserts were observed in the isolates that originated from a single plant. However, many of them appeared to be the amplification products of chloroplastic 16S rRNA gene of host plants. The phytoplasma gene could be differentiated from the chloroplastic gene by restriction digestion of the plasmids carrying the amplification products. Only the recombinant plasmids carrying phytoplasma 16S rRNA gene produced a 1.4 kb band when digested with the enzyme BanII. Of the 52 recombinant plasmids analyzed, 42 appeared to contain inserts that originated from the chloroplastic 16S rRNA gene of the host plants. No variation was detected among 16S rRNA gene of nine phytoplasma isolates infecting Z. jujuba. However, the phytoplasmas infecting Z. jujuba were different from that infecting P. coreana.

Active magnetic hearings allow much high surface speed than conventional ball bearings and therefore greatly suitable for high speed cutting. This paper describes a design and test of an active magnetic bearing system with 16-pole radial magnets. The spindle is originally designed for a CNC lathe and driven by outer motor with 5.5 kW power and maximum speed 10,000 rpm. Considering static load condition and geometric restrictions, radial magnet is designed 16-pole type for smaller outer diameter of the spindle system. Dynamic system characteristics such as natural frequency, critical speed, stiffness, damping and system stabilities are simulated with a rigid rotor model including direct feedback controller. The designed spindle system is realized with digital PIDD controller to compensate phase lag of PWM amplifier and magnet coils. With levitation and step response experiment the control system characteristics are tested, and the spindle is rotated up to 10,000 rpm stab1y.

Intraabdominal complications after cardiac surgery are infrequent, but often fatal. From 1985 to 1993, a total of 1241 cardiovascular operations requiring cardiopulmonary by pass were performed at Pusan Paik Hospital. A total of 16 intraabdominal complications occurred, represe ting a 1.3% incidence. Complications included enterocolitis in six, hepatitis in three, gastric bleeding in two, erosive gastritis in one, cholecystitis in one, spleen rupture in one, epididymitis in one, inguinal hernia in one patient. The overall mortality rate was 12.5% (2 of 16). Three of the 16 patients underwent surgical intervention, and one died. We concluded that intraabdominal complications after cardiac surgery are associated with a high mortality rate, so when evidence of an acute abdominal symptom is observed or conservativi medical treatment fails to improve symptoms, prompt early surgical intervention should be performed.
