상완골 간부 골절에 대한 수술적 치료 후 발생하는 요골신경 마비는 흔치 않다. 하지만 수술 후 요골신경 손상 정도를 정확히 진단하고 예후를 예측하기가 어려워 수술적 치료를 요할 수 있다. 저자들은 상완골 간부 골절에 관혈적 정복 및 금속판 내고정 수술 후 발생한 요골신경 마비에서 초음파 검사를 시행하여 신경의 연속성을 확인하였다. 이 후 보존적 치료를 시행하여 마비가 회복된 1예를 경험하여 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.

전위성 슬개골 골절에 있어서 해부학적 정복 및 견고한 고정은 슬관절 기능과 강도, 그리고 조기 관절 운동 범위의 회복을 위해서 필요하다. 골절의 형태와 다양한 수술 기법에 따라서, 수술 후 많은 합병증들이 보고 되어져 왔다. 본 저자들은 운동 선수들에게서 발생한 종골절 1예와 이분성 슬개골의 골편 전위 골절 1예에서 유관 나사못 횡 고정술을 시행한 뒤 새로운 횡골절이 발생한 증례를 경험하여 보고하고자 한다.

털응애는 토끼에서 피부 질환을 유발하는 매우 전염성이 강한 인수공통 질병 진드기이다. 본 증례 보고에서는 털응애에 감염된 네 마리의 토끼에 permethrin (65%) 0.1 ml를 1회 피하로 적용하였다. 모든 토끼가 8주 후 부작용 없이 성공적으로 치료되었다. 본 증례에서 permethrin은 토끼 털응애증 치료에 효과적이었다.

Purpose: The study explored the influence of the suicide of two famous entertainers on the suicide attempts of the public. Method: The subjects of the descriptive study were 888 suicide attempt patients recruited from October 2007 to September 2009 in an emergency centre located in S-city. The research tools were developed at the Centre for Disease Control. Results: The frequency of suicide attempts during the 6 months and 12 months preceding and following the gas-related suicide of celebrity A were ${\chi}^2$=18.14 and ${\chi}^2$=25.97, respectively, and both were significant(both p<.001). The frequency of suicide attempts of the 6 and 12months before and after the release of report of celebrity B's hanging suicide were ${\chi}^2$=3.85 and ${\chi}^2$=3.47, respectively, and both were significant (both p<.05). Conclusion: These results showed that reports of suicide of celebrities influences suicide attempts of the public. Multiple factors that can influence suicide attempts should be further identified and researched.

45세 여자 환자에서 요하지통의 치료를 위해 triamcinolone 40 mg과 0.125% bupivacaine 10 ml를 경막외로 주입한후 24시간에 걸쳐 하지마비 및 해리성 감각소설이 발생하였다. 그 원인은 분명하지 않으나 선행절환의 악화, 급성 횡단성 척수염, 전척수동맥증후군, 그리고 신경독성등이 추정된다.

Objectives: The present study reports a case of chronic anemia patient who was significantly improved after taking Nokyongdaebo-tang (NYDBT) Methods: A 48-year-old male patient diagnosed with iron deficiency anemia (IDA) visited the Daejeon Korean medicine Hospital of Daejeon University on June 2018. The patient was treated with Korean medicine for 23 months including acupuncture, herbal medicine and Sasang constitutional medicine prescription. Improvement of anemia was assessed by changes of Hemoglobin value. Laboratory analysis was used to evaluate the safety of treatment. Results: Chronic anemia has significantly improved since taking NYDBT on 9 days (2019.12.09-2019.12.17). The Hb value has been maintained in the normal range since it first entered the normal range on January 18, 2020. The patient had become transfusion-free and this condition persisted for 6 months after stopping the transfusion. Conclusion: This case demonstrates the therapeutic potential of Sasang constitutional medicine for chronic anemia as a personalized medicine.

Objectives : This case report aims to demonstrate the effectiveness of incisional needle therapy in treating facial scars resulting from autoimmune disorder. Methods : A single case of a 29-year-old female patient with facial scars due to systemic sclerosis was treated with incisional needle therapy. The treatment was applied over 14 sessions from February to September 2023. The efficacy of the treatment was evaluated using clinical photographs and the Physician's Global Assessment(PGA). Results : The treatment significantly improved scar appearance and reduced blood vessel visibility. The PGA scores, with an average of 2.66, indicating moderate improvement. Conclusions : Incisional needle therapy demonstrated potential as an effective treatment for scars caused by autoimmune disorders, due to minimal side effects and non-interference with ongoing treatments. It offers a promising alternative to conventional treatments, suggesting a need for further research for wider applications.

Nevus lipomatosus superficialis (NLS) is a hamartoma of adipose tissue, rarely reported in the past 100 years. We treated one case, and we conducted a systematic review of the literature. A 41-year-old man presented with a cutaneous multinodular lesion in the posterior region near the right auricle. The lesion was excised and examined histopathologically. To review the literature, we searched PubMed with the keyword "NLS." The search was limited to articles written in English and whose full text was available. We analyzed the following data: year of report, nation of corresponding author, sex of patient, age at onset, duration of disease, location of lesion, type of lesion, associated symptoms, pathological findings, and treatment. Of 158 relevant articles in PubMed, 112 fulfilled our inclusion criteria; these referred to a total of 149 cases (cases with insufficient clinical information were excluded). In rare cases, the diagnosis of NLS was confirmed when the lesion coexisted with sebaceous trichofolliculoma and Demodex infestation. Clinical awareness for NLS has increased recently. NLS is an indolent and asymptomatic benign neoplasm that may exhibit malignant behavior in terms of huge lesion size and specific anatomical location. Early detection and curative treatment should be promoted.

Objective : Recently, there is an increasing trend of attachment to physical appearance of individuals in many persons with spread of social concern through mass communication. Domestically, several studies has been performed, but they were limited to obesity mainly for juveniles or female college students. Therefore, purpose of this study were to standardize Body image dysmorphic disorder examination self report with male and female college students in Cheonnan area. Methods : This study were total 825 college students in Cheonan area. Subject group are consist of 393 males (47.6%) and 427 females (51.8%), and the mean age was $22.28{\pm}3.24$ years old. Results : The BDDE-SR had adequate internal consistency (Cronbach's alpha=.93) and test-retest (r=.82) and interator reliability. Four factors were extracted by factor analysis with the Varimax rotation. They were 'the camouflage and comparison factor', 'the self-consciousness and negative self-evaluation factor', 'the avoidance factor', and 'the distressing and embarassment factor'. The total score of BDDE-SR was $50.8{\pm}27.1$, female's score ($59.2{\pm}25.5$) was statistically higher than male's score ($41.85{\pm}25.84$). Conclusion : It is considered that BDDE-SR is reliable instrument for body image dissatisfaction, provided correct information in predicting clinical status of Body dysmorphic disorder that is most largely influenced by individual psychologic factor and family system.

The general treatment methods of chronic osteomyelitis of calcaneus with soft tissue defect was curettage of necrotic bone with antibiotics mixed bone cement insertion or cancellous bone grafting, and free or pedicled flap coverage. The muscle flap for soft tissue defect has many advantages including control of infection, but in cases of pedicled flap in calcaneus, there are some limitations because of functional loss of the donor site, limitation of pedicled length of donor muscle In these reason, free muscle flap was more preferred for pedicled muscle flap. But, in case of small sized defect which was located in center or lateral side of calcaneus, the abductor digiti minimi muscle flap can be one of the solutions. The abductor digiti minimi muscle flap has minimal functional loss of donor site and can be performed easily. There are some reports of the abductor digiti minimi muscle flap in other country, but in korea, this report is the first case report of the abductor digiti minimi muscle flap. We performed one case of abductor digiti minimi muscle flap as a treatment of chronic osteomyelitis of calcaneus and could obtain a good result.
