The paleo-shoreline and formation age of the 1st marine terrace in Heunghae-eup Pohang City, South Korea : evaluation of the mode and rate of the late Quaternary tectonism (I) (포항시 흥해읍 일대 해안단구 제1면의 구정선 고도와 형성 시기 - 한반도 제4기 후기 지각운동의 양식과 변형률 산출을 위한 연구(I) -)

  • This study documents the altitude of paleo-shoreline and formation age of the $1^{st}$ marine terrace emerged around Heunghae-eup Pohang City (South Korea). As a result, the $1^{st}$ terrace representing 10 m of the paleo-shoreline was formed at MIS 5c around 100,000 BP and was influenced repetitive sedimentation of sea-wave till regression of MIS 5a. The result is recognized as a definite truth for the $1^{st}$ terrace in the eastern coast of the Korean peninsula based on synthetic reviews of previous studies and cross-validation of absolute age data. Furthermore, this study deduces a sea stand at MIS 5c from the geomorphological contrast method, but precise determination of paleo-shoreline of the $2^{nd}$ terrace should be required to estimate that of MIS 5c.

  • 본 논문에서는 전력선 반송통신을 이용한 가정내 전기기기의 감시제어 시스템인 "전동선 HMCS"를 개발했다. 통신방식은 양방향으로서 반송파 주파수 125[kHz]의 FSK디지탈 신호를 전등선에 중첩시키는 방식이며, 제어방식은 Polling 방식을 채용했다. 그리고 시스템의 송신출력은 4Vp-p이고, 수신감도는 CISPR 잡음 규제등을 고려하여 10[mV] 이상으로 설계하였다. 개발 시스템의 성능은 58[dB] 시스템 여유도와 1.78$\times$10-7의 에러확률을 갖는다.에러확률을 갖는다.

  • 스펙트럼선의 선폭증대 현상을 방출영역 내 기체입자들이 열운동에 의한 단순 도플러 효과로 가정하여 중심에서 어느 한쪽으로 심하게 치우친 스펙트럼 선윤곽를 해석한다. 본 연구에서는 태양활동영역에서 흔히 관측되는 좌우 비대칭의 선윤곽을 서로 다른 가우스속도분포의 기체성분들이 시선방향으로 중첩된 결과라 해석하고, 최소자승법을 이용한 비선형 선윤곽 맞춤질에 의해 스펙트럼 방출영역에서 떨어져 나가는 기채들의 온도 및 분출속도에 관련된 도플러선폭과 도플러이동량을 구하였다.

국내 도선업무 환경에 적합한 도선선 모델 개발

  • 본 논문은 선박검사기술협회가 한국해사재단으로부터 위탁받은 "도선업무에 적합한 도선선 모델개발"의 결과로 지난 4월 1일부터 10월 30일까지 총 7개월간 도선선의 적정 규모와 선형, 경제성 분석 및 도선사의 안전을 위한 각종 장비에 대해 연구한 결과이다. 이번 연구는 국내 해양물류의 중요한 역할을 담당하고 있는 도선사들의 안전과 효율적 도선선 운영에 대한 국내 최초의 연구로서의 의미와 향후 국내 특수 선박들에 대한 연구 필요성을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 방사광 X-선 반사도를 이용하여 나노 스케일의 두께를 가진 oxynitride 박막의 계면 구조 및 두께를 측정하였다. Oxynitride 박막에서 nitrogen 분포의 분석은 두께가 극도로 얇아지는 요즘의 반도체 제작에서 매우 중요한 과제로 대두되고 있다. (1) X-선 반사도 측정을 분석하여 박막 깊이에 따른 전자밀도분포와 계면에서의 거칠기 및 각 층의 두께가 결정되었다. X-선 반사도 측정 분석으로부터 Nitrogen은 SiO₂와 Si substrate 계면에 위치하며, 화학조성분포와 층 구조의 상관성을 SIMS를 이용한 조성분포 측정과 비교하였다.

초고속선 점성유동

  • 초고속선에 관련된 점성유동은 저한성능 향상과 운항자세 제어를 위해 사용되는 다양한 선체부 가물의 저항 예측과 초고속선에 많이 사용되는 물분사 추진장치 입구 형상의 설계 그리고 임펠 러에 이르는 덕트 유동의 예측을 중심으로 관심을 받아왔다. 본 소고에서는 통상적인 선박의 경우와는 구별되는 초고속선 고유의 점성유동 특성에 관하여 간략히 논의하기로 하고 내용을 크게 선체-부가물 점성유동과 물분사 추진장치에 관련되어 있는 덕트유동으로 나누어 기술하 였다.

Quality Properties of Sausage Prepared with Gamma-Irradiated Natural Casing (감마선조사 천연케이싱의 사용이 소시지의 제조적성에 미치는 영향)

  • Quality changes in sausage stuffed into irradiated natural pork and lamb intestine were studied. Total aerobic bacteria of the sausage prepared with irradiated natural pork and lamb casing were significantly lower than those of nonirradiated casing and the $D_{10}$ value of those sausages were 1.71 and 1.58 kGy, respectively. The sausages in pork intestine vacuum-packaged and stored in a $4^{\circ}C$ refrigerator showed negligible change in the 2-thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) value during storage except for 10-day when the TBARS value was higher than other storage days. Total working force for shear value of the sausages were lower with both irradiated casings but sensory evaluation showed no difference between treatments. As a results, the gamma irradiation was effective for sanitizing the natural pork and lamb casings, thereby preparing high quality sausages.

Effect of UV-C and Electron Beam Irradiation of on the Quality of Rice Wine (Makgeolli) (UV-C 및 전자선 조사가 막걸리의 품질에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the changes in the quality of rice wine (Makgeolli) treated with UV-C and electron beam (EB) irradiation during its storage at $4^{\circ}C$ for 15 days. The EB irradiation was found to be more effective than the UV-C irradiation for microbiological control. The pH tended to be increased by UV-C, EB irradiation, and storage period. Acidity was significantly higher in rice wine treated with EB irradiation than those of control and UV-C irradiation during storage period. The $L^*$-value of the samples treated with UV-C and EB irradiation tended to be proportionately higher than that of the control, but this was not consistent during storage period. The $a^*$-value of the sample treated with EB was higher than that of the others, but this was not consistent during the storage period. The reducing sugar content was higher in the control at day 0, but it rapidly decreased compared with the control during the storage. The results indicate that EB irradiation was more effective than UV-C irradiation in controlling microorganisms of rice wine. However, a further study is needed to minimize the rice wine quality deterioration caused by UV-C or EB irradiation during storage.

A Study on the Failure Behavior of the Reinforced Earth Wall Structures according to the Deformed Types of the Face (전면부 변형형태에 따른 보강토 벽체 구조물의 파괴거동에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper the failure behavior of the reinforced earth retaining wall structures according to the deformed types of the face was studied by model test using carbon rods. In model test the behavior of the face for the model of the reinforced earth wall was divided into three cases : the displacement of the top part(case 1), the lateral displacement(case 2) and the displacement of the lower part (case 3). The photographic method was applied to examine the failure line of the deformed wall with the naked eye. The failure line shows a parabolic shape for case 1, a large circular arc for case 2 and a logarithmic spiral for case 3 in the experimental results. The design failure line for the coherent gravity structure hypothesis was most similar to the failure line for the case of the lower part displacement.

  • The calibration method for the detection efficiency of solid state track detector to alpha is presented, and the detection efficiency of CN-85 and LEXAN to alpha is measured by this method. The results are 97% and 57% in CN-85 and LEXAN, respectively. The reason for a better result in CN-85 in not only the high sensitivity but also the low energy dependency with comparing for LEXAN. The peak detection efficiency is 3MeV and 1.8MeV in CN-85 and LEXAN, respectively.
