Exciting current. Finally, it has determined the method of the most economic design for the transformers using the above factors and relations, and, for optimum the illustrative purpose, suggested their optimum specifications, way of evaluation, and merits by means of typical example.
Viral surface proteins are known to play an essential role in attachment of the virus particle to the host cell membrane. In case of the hepatitis B virus (HBV) several reports have described potential receptors on the target cell side, but no definite receptor protein has been isolated yet. As for the viral side, it has been suggested that the preS region of the envelope protein, especially the preS1 region, is involved in binding of HBV to the host cell. In this study, preS1 region was recombinantly expressed in the form of a maltose binding protein (MBP) fusion protein and used to identify and visualize the expression of putative HBV receptor(s) on the host cell. Using laser scanned confocal microscopy and by FACS analysis, MBP-preS1 proteins were shown to bind to the human hepatoma cell line HepG2 in a receptor-ligand specific manner. The binding kinetic of MBP-preS1 to its cellular receptor was shown to be temperature and time dependent. In cells permeabilized with Triton X-100 and treated with the fusion protein, a specific staining of the nuclear membrane could be observed. To determine the precise location of the receptor binding site within the preS1 region, several short overlapping peptides from this region were synthesized and used in a competition assay. In this way the receptor binding epitope in preS1 was revealed to be amino acid residues 27 to 51, which is in agreement with previous reports. These results confirm the significance of the preS1 region in virus attachment in general, and suggest an internalization pathway mediated by direct attachment of the viral particle to the target cell membrane.
The Okcheon Group in the southwestern part of the Okcheon Metamorphic Belt is subdivided into two distinct tectonostratigraphic units: the Boeun unit in the south and the Pibanryeong unit in the north. The Boeun unit consists of petites, psammites, carbonaceous petites, limestones and pebble-bearing quartzites. The Pibanryeong unit is composed of petites, well-sorted fine-grained psammites, carbonaceous psammites and quartzites. In order to outlining stratigraphy and depositional environments of the Okcheon Group, detailed stratigraphic sections were measured in three locations; one section(Gosan section) of the Boeun unit and two sections(Sorungjae and Hwangryeongzae sections) of the Pibanryeong unit. The Gosan section of the Boeun unit is interpreted to be deposited in the shallow marine environments, whereas the Sorungjae and Hwangryeonaiae sections of the Pibanryeong unit appear to be deposited in slope and deep basin environments. This result indicates rapid subsidence between deposition of the Boeun and Pibanryeong units in sedimentary environment. The trace of sedimentological environments in the Hwasan area was investigated by geochemical analysis of 109 metapelitic and psammitic rock samples. Distinct chemical variations of politic and psammitic rocks from the Boeun and Pibanryeong units in the study area are evident from plots of major elements and $A1_2O_3$/$SiO_2$ versus Basicity Index($Fe_2O_3{+}MgO$)/($SiO_2{+}K_2O{+}Na_2O$). The rocks show a progressive chemical trend from the Boeun unit to the Pibanryeong unit on these diagrams. They in the southern sector of the Boeun unit display lower values and a comparatively wide range of $A1_2O_3$/$SiO_2$ and Basicity Index, as compared with those from the northern sector of the Boeun and Pibanryeong units. The southern sector of the Pibanryeong unit including narrow staurolite-bearing zone is characterized by values that are transitional between the Boeun and Pibanryeong units. These data, combined with depositional environment progressively deepened towards the northwest, support a half-graben model for the Okcheon basin, as proposed by Cluzel et al.(1990)

In this work, we report the synthesis and characterization of azomethineester polymers that consist of banana-shaped mesogen in their backbone. Two parts of the key structure of five-ring bent-core mesogen were modified by connecting different angle of central unit (Ar), and introducing lateral substituent into the outer ring (X). The synthetic details includes (1) placing the dioxydodecamethylene unit as a flexible spacer, (2) possessing 2,3- or 2,7-naphthylene, or 1,2-phenylene connection on the central unit, and (3) introducing fluorine or chlorine substituent (X = F or Cl) into the outer phenylene unit.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate consumer use of unit price information introduced in Korea 1999. A total of 571 observations were analyzed by frequency, percent, and paired t-test using SPSS. The main findings are (1) consumers use unit price information to make better purchase decisions, (2) consumers with higher than average attentiveness in purchase behavior utilize unit price information to make better buying decisions, and (3) consumers with higher than average knowledge utilize unit price information to make better buying decisions. (4) Also if either attentiveness in purchase behavior or consumer knowledge is lower than average, unit price information helped consumers make better purchase decisions. (5) However, there was no difference among those consumers with below average or above average attentiveness and knowledge.
First we present the explicit formula for the norm of a symmetric bilinear form on the 2-dimensional real predual of the Lorentz sequence space $d_*(1,w)^2$. Using this formula, we classify the extreme points of the unit ball of $\mathcal{L}_s(^2d_*(1,w)^2)$.
From the Chinese crude drug shin-i, the flower buds of Magnolia fargesii, four sesquiterpene, oplopanoe (1), oplodiol (2), homalomenol A (3) and $1{\beta},4{\beta},7{\alpha}$-trihydroxyeudesmane (4) were isolated. These structures were elucidated and the ${13}^C-NMR$ chemical shifts of these compounds were revised by means of various 2D-NMR techniques.
The influenza A viruses have high mutation rates and cause a serious health problem worldwide. Therefore, this study focused on genome characterization of the viruses isolated from Thai patients based on the next-generation sequencing technology. The nasal swabs were collected from patients with influenza-like illness in Thailand during 2017-2018. Then, the influenza A viruses were detected by reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction and isolated by MDCK cells. The viral genomes were amplified and sequenced by Illumina MiSeq platform. Whole genome sequences were used for characterization, phylogenetic construction, mutation analysis and nucleotide diversity of the viruses. The result revealed that 90 samples were positive for the viruses including 44 of A/H1N1 and 46 of A/H3N2. Among these, 43 samples were successfully isolated and then the viral genomes of 25 samples were completely amplified. Finally, 17 whole genomes of the viruses (A/H1N1, n=12 and A/H3N2, n=5) were successfully sequenced with an average of 232,578 mapped reads and 1,720 genome coverage per sample. Phylogenetic analysis demonstrated that the A/H1N1 viruses were distinguishable from the recommended vaccine strains. However, the A/H3N2 viruses from this study were closely related to the recommended vaccine strains. The nonsynonymous mutations were found in all genes of both viruses, especially in hemagglutinin (HA) and neuraminidase (NA) genes. The nucleotide diversity analysis revealed negative selection in the PB1, PA, HA, and NA genes of the A/H1N1 viruses. High-throughput data in this study allow for genetic characterization of circulating influenza viruses which would be crucial for preparation against pandemic and epidemic outbreaks in the future.
In this study, the spatial analysis of the multi-housing unit plans was investigated since 1990 for the winners at the architectural competition which was held nationwide in Germany. The investigation was carried out from January in 1990 to December in 2010. 201Unit plans were analyzed. Space syntax model is used as analyzing tool of the Unit plans. The results of the study indicate followings: 1) The interior spaces in 3LDK types and 4LDK types, ordered by high value of integration are; (1) corridor, (2) entrance hall, (3) living room, (4) dining room. 2) The value of integration for the kitchen is higher in L/DK type than in LD/K type, and that for the living room is higher in LD/K type than in L/DK type. The mean value of integration for L/DK type is higher than that for LD/K type. This means that traffic line efficiency of L/DK type is higher than that of LD/K type. 3) The value of integration for corridor and entrance hall is gradually lower in recent years. That is, the type of Unit plans are changing from corridor types to hall types.
