Application of High-Order Target Dynamics to Position and Force Control of a Manipulator (고차수 동력학적 표적 모형을 이용한 로보트의 위치와 힘의 제어)

  • 이 논문에서는 고차수 동력학적 표적모형을 이용하여 간단하고 우수한 성능을 지니는 위치와 힘의 추적제어법을 제안하였다. 이 표적모형은 위치오차와 힘오차의 상관관계를 자유운동을 위한 임피던스와 힘오차의 보상기로 모형화한다. 이들의 특성중, 적절한 보상기 설계에 의하여 위치입력과 힘입력 추적제어, 천이응담을 줄이기 위한 위치입력과 힘입력의 동시사용 및 매니퓰레이터의 접촉시에 부드러운 접촉을 위한 동특성의 연속성 유지 보상기 설계에 대하여 고찰하였다. 또한 접촉환경이 불규칙한 기하구조를 갖는 경우에,위치교란중 힘의 추적제어를 모의실험으로 보였다.

  • 로보트 매니퓰레이터가 일정한 접촉 힘을 유지하며 공작물의 표면을 따라가게 하는 작업은 많은 자동화 생산공정에서 유용하게 이용될 수 있다. 일반적인 위치제어용 산업용 로보트를 이러한 공정에 사용하기 위해서는 접촉힘이 계측되어 로보트의 제어에 이용되어야만 한다. 이 연구는 accommodation force control 방식으로 산업용 로보트를 제어하여 edge-following에 응용하도록하며, 접촉 힘의 계측에는 wrist force sensor를 사용한다. 이 시스템의 궤도추적속도와 force regulation 등이 예견제어에 의해 향상될 수 있다. 예견제어에 의해 설계된 전체 제어 시스템은 feedback 제어기와 feedforward 예견제어기로 구성된다. 여기서, 시스템의 안정성은 feedback 제어기에 의해서 결정되며, 예견제어기는 시스템에 미치는 외란을 통제하는 것을 주 기능으로 한다. 일반적으로 선형제어 방식을 채택한 경우와 예견제어를 이용한 edge-following을 실험을 통해 비교함으로써, 예견제어의 효용성을 확인한다.

  • This paper presents a robust force tracking control of a small-sized SMA gripper with two fingers using shape memory alloy(SMA) actuators. The mathematical governing equation of the proposed system is derived by Hamilton's principle and Lagrangian equation and then, the control system model is integrated with the first-order actuator dynamics. Uncertain system parameters such as time constant of the actuators are also included in the control model. A robust two degree of freedom(TDF) controller using H$_{\infty}$ control theory, which has inherent robustness to model uncertainties and external disturbances, is adopted to achieve end-point force tracking control of the two-finger gripper. Force tracking control performances for desired trajectories represented by sinusoidal and step functions are evaluated by undertaking both simulation and experimental works.

A Study on Control of Sealing Robot for Cracks of Concrete Surface (콘크리트 표면 균열 실링을 위한 로봇의 제어 방법에 관한 연구)

  • Since the crack in the surface of the concrete acts as the main reason influencing the life span of the structure, regular inspections and maintenance are required. The sealing required for maintenance of the concrete surface is a method of repairing the crack in the surface in the beginning, and is effective in preventing additional cracks and expansion that occurs with time. However, sealing on large sized structures such as tall buildings or bottom parts of bridges are difficult to ensure safety of the workers due to inadequate working environments. Due to this reason, the importance of the need for sealing automation for the maintenance of large sized concrete structures is emerging. This study proposes two control methods to apply robot systems to the sealing of cracks on the bottom parts of concrete bridges. First is the method of automatically tracking the trajectory of cracks. The robot gets the trajectory of the cracks using video information obtained from cameras. Comparing the previous several points and new point, the next point can be estimated. Thus, the trajectory of the crack can be tracked automatically. The other method is sealing by maintaining steady force to the contacting surface. The concrete surface exposed to an external environment for a long time gets an irregular roughness. If robots are able to carry out sealing while maintaining a steady contact force on these rough surfaces, complete equal sealing can be maintained. In order to maintain this equal force, a force control method using impedance is proposed. This paper introduces two developed control methods to apply to sealing robots, and conducts a Lab Test and Field Test after applying to a robot. Based on the test results, opinions on the possibilities of field application of the robot applied with the control methods are presented.

A Study on Nano-Accelerometer based on Carbon Nanotube (탄소나노튜브 기반의 나노-가속도계에 관한 연구)

  • We investigated the characteristics of a capacitive nano-accelerometer based on carbon nanotube by means of classical molecular dynamics simulations. The position of the telescoping nanotube was controlled by the externally applied force and the feedback sensing was achieved from the capacitance change. Considering energy dissipation, the oscillation features of the nano-accelerometers were similar, regardless of their initial displacements. The capacitance variations, which were almost linearly proportional to the applied acceleration, were monitored within an error tolerance.

Position and Force Simultaneous Trajectory Tracking Control with a Pneumatic Cylinder Driving System (공기압 실린더를 이용한 힘과 위치 동시 궤적 추적 제어)

  • In this study, position and force simultaneous trajectory tracking control apparatus with pneumatic cylinder driving system is proposed. The pneumatic cylinder driving system that consists of two pneumatic cylinders constrained in series and two proportional flow control valves offers a considerable advantage as to non-interaction of the actuators because of the low stiffness of the pneumatic actuators. The controller applied to the driving system is composed of a non-interaction controller to compensate for interaction of two cylinders and a disturbance observer to reduce the effect of model discrepancy of the driving system in the low frequency range that cannot be suppressed by the non-interaction controller. The experimental results with the proposed control apparatus show that the interacting effects of two cylinders are eliminated remarkably and the proposed control apparatus tracks the given position and force trajectory accurately.

In this paper, to bring under robust ard accurate control of auto-equipnent systems which disturbance, parameter alteration of system, uncertainty ard so forth exist, neural network controller called dynamic neural processor(DNP) is designed. Also, the learning architecture to compute inverse kinematic coordinates transfonnations in the manirclator of auto-equipnent systems is developed ard the example that DNP can be used is explained The architocture and learning algorithm of the proposed dynamic neural network, the DNP, are described and computer simllations are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed learning method using the DNP.he DNP.

  • The feedback controllers for the active vibration control of elastic systems are developed using optimal regulator, optimal tracking, time optimal and noise observer algorithms. Using the modal analysis of the elastic systems, the effects of the actuator positions, the input weighting factor and the magnitude of the constraint of the actuator force are investigated.
