This study examined career maturity of primary and middle school students who were interested in teaching job and compared to those who were interested in being a doctor. Using the data from the Korean Education Longitudinal Study 2013, we examined changes in the number of students (primary 5 through middle 2) who were interested in teaching as a job as well as in being a doctor. In addition, the participants' career maturity such as self-understanding, career planing, and attitudes towards job were examined and independent sample t-tests were conducted to compare two groups of students. Overall, the students who were interested in teaching showed lower level of career maturity compared to those who expected to be a doctor. Additionally, as students advanced to higher grades, the points of career maturity had been decreased regardless of which job they were interested in. Based on the findings, suggestions will be made to broaden the pool for future teachers.

흔히들 학생들을 보고 '미래의 희망'이라는 말을 많이 한다. 그 희망을 이룩하기 위해 우리는 그들이 좀 더 많은 지식을 갖기를 기대한다. 그러나 그들이 미래의 희망으로 구체화되기 위해서는 무엇보다도 체력이 튼튼해야 한다는 것은 가장 쉽게 이해되어지면서 동시에 쉽게 등한시 되어지는 것이 현실이다. 질병의 형태가 변화되어가고 있고, 그 질병들의 원인이 식생활 패턴의 변화 등과 함께 어릴 때부터 누적되어진다고 볼 때 학생들의 집단건강관리가 그 어느 때보다도 절실히 요구된다 할 수 있겠다. 그런 의미에서 현재 학생건강관리 및 그를 위한 보건교육실태와 앞으로의 방향에 대해 관계자들의 의견을 모아봤다. 미래의 희망을 가꾸는데 조금이라도 도움이 되기를 바란다.

The purpose of this study was to examine hope in relation to social support in adolescents. Four hundred adolescents at two middle schools and two high schools participated in Gwangju metropolitan city. Hope and social support were assessed using self-report questionnaires. Findings indicated that there were significant positive associations between social support and level of hope in adolescents. Adolescents' hope was influenced by gender, religious experience and social support. Specifically, informational support of parents and appraisal support of friends were the two most important factors in explaining hope of adolescents.

The objective of the study was to determine the mediation effects of hope and grit in the relationship between human rights damage and self-esteem. A sample of students was recruited from two universities in Korea. For data analysis, SPSS PC+ and SPSS PROCESS macro were used. Frequency, reliability, correlation and mediating effect analysis were performed. Bootstrap technique was done to verify the mediating effect. Results showed as follows. First, grit, self-esteem and hope were negatively correlated with human rights damage, but grit, self-esteem and hope were positively correlated with each other. Second, hope and grit mediated in the relationship between human rights damage and self-esteem. For further research, it was discussed how university students who experienced human rights abuses could use grit and hope to maintain their lowered self-esteem.

The purpose of the study is to find out the difference between high school students' hopes and the school happiness of each cluster of grits. Method: 282 high students' responses were analyzed through correlation analysis and cluster analysis. Results: First, There is a positive correlation between hope and grit and school happiness. Second, Hope and Grit appeared in four clusters. School happiness had the highest "high psychological capital" group and the lowest "low psychological capital. Conclusion: It was discussed that the agency thinking and effort perseverance of grit should be reflected in the curriculum of general high schools. In addition, we propose to develop questionnaires for practical measurements.

1990년의 '독일통일'은 우리에게 한민족 통일도 이제는 먼 이상이 아니라 현실적 가능성이라는 가슴저린 희망을 한껏 불러 일으켰다. 하지만 '독일통일'이 희망을 주었다면 '통일독일'은 실망과 함께 많은 의문들을 던져주었다. 한반도 통일은 어떤 형식이 될 것인가? 독일식 방식은 불가피한가? 그렇다면 독일이 겪는 통일의 후유증을 극복하고 실질적 통합을 이루기 위해서는 어떻게 해야 하는가? 이를 위해 필요하게 될 통일교육의 기본방향은 무엇인가? 이 글은 독일통일을 원용하여 이러한 통일의 방식, 통일이 제기하는 통합의 문제, 그리고 실질적 통합에 일조를 담당하게 될 통일교육의 방향에 대해 살펴보고자 한다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between parental psychological control and adolescent school adjustment mediated by hope of adolescents. Four hundred three middle and high school students participated in this study. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, Pearson's correlations, structural equation modeling(SEM), and multi group analysis. The average level of school adjustment was significantly higher in male adolescent group compared to female adolescent group. Adolescents' hope partially mediated the relationship between parental psychological control and adolescents' school adjustment. The proposed model was not significantly different as a function of gender. These results suggest that adolescents' school adjustment could be improved by reducing levels of parental psychological control and enhancing adolescents' hope.
