A Study on the Nonlinear Dynamic Modeling and Analysis of Damping Force Characteristics of Automotive Shock Absorber (차량용 충격흡수기의 비선형 동적거동 모델링 및 감쇠력 특성해석에 대한 연구)

  • The performance of shock absorber is directly related to the car behaviour and performance, both for handling and comfort. In this study, a mathematical nonlinear dynamic model and computational method are introduced to study the flow and performance of shock absorber. The flow characteristics of components(piston and body valve) are investigated and applied to dynamic modeling of shock absorber to predict the damping force. The simulation results agree with the test data well. The shock absorber model proposed in this paper is applicable as a part of a full vehicle suspension simulation.

  • The damping force is determined by four valves and the components which consist of the shock absorber for vehicle. In this study it is investigated the individual effects of four valves and these components on damping forces using dynamic behaviour analysis program of the shock absorber. In addition, opening of main valves are researched during compression and tension cycle due to up- down reciprocation movement of piston. We are to strictly control the properties and tolerance of componenets having important effects on the damping force. Thus we are intended to produce shock absorber of better quality.

  • 안트라싸이클린계 항암항생제의 부작용 발생기전으로는 C-고리의 퀴논 부위에 전자가 전달되어 퀴논고리가 환원되는 과정이 제시되고 있으며 그중 하나의 전자가 전달되어 생성되는 활성산소(activated oxygen)가 심장독성과 관련이 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이 때 퀴논고리의 환원력(전자흡수능력)이 C-고리 자체의 변환, 또는 인접 B-고리에 도입된 치환체의 영향으로 억제될 수 있다는 보고를 이론적 근거로 하여 안트라싸이클리논 골격을 전자흡수능력을 가진 acridone 골격으로 치환한 9-ethynyl-6,9-trihydroxy-7,8,9,10-tetrahydro-benzo〔b〕acridone을 합성하였으며 이를 daunosamine과 축합하기 위하여 $C_{7}$위치에 OH기를 도입한 화합물로 변환하였다.

  • Using database obtained by means of experiments, or using the synamic behaviour analysis program of automotive shock absorber, database system is constructed within the limits of adequate reliability. Thus constructed data base can be used to find out corresponding specification of shock absorber design parameters to the required damping ability and tolerance.

  • This paper describes a basic programming and interfacing modele which can link DataBase form experiments and dynamic analysis program of chock absorber within the limit of adequate reliability. The system developed can provid a user specific Database of shock absorber within the required damping performance and endurable tolerance, thus show a good application possibilities in commercial vehicle design.

Functional Properties of Soy Protein Isolate from Heat Treated Soybean (열처리 대두에서 분리한 대두 단백질의 기능성)

  • Effects of heat treatment on functional properties of soy protein were examined. Soy protein isolate (SPI) was prepared from Korean soybean varieties, Manli and Taekwang, subjected to heat treatment at $60^{\circ}C$ for 30, 60, 90, and 120 min. pH-solubility results of SPI showed typical U-shape profiles with minimum solubility at pH 4-5 of isoelectric points of soy proteins, longer heat treatments showing slightly higher solubility. Water absorption, emulsifying activity, emulsion stability, and emulsion capacity of SPI increased, while oil absorption decreased, with heating time in Manli variety. Manli and Taekwang showed the highest emulsion capacities after 90-and 60-min heat treatments, respectively. Foam expansion of all SPIs increased with heating time up to 90 min. Texture profile analysis showed heat treatment up to 90 min significantly increased hardness, adhesiveness, springiness, gumminess, and chewiness, whereas significantly decreased cohesiveness of SPI gels (p<0.05).

  • Consistent efforts have been made to reduce the weight of automotive parts by using lightweight materials. This has resulted in the replacement of conventional steels in car body structures with high-strength steels, and the current usage rate has reached 50%. This study examines the structural stiffness and energy absorption capability of bumper beams made of high-strength steels. New types of bumper beam cross sections are proposed.The structural stiffness and maximum bending force were computed via finite element analysis as about 25tons and 7.5tons/mm, and there were no significant differences among the proposedcross sections. Dynamic analysis was also carried out to investigate the energy absorption capabilities of the bumper beams, and the effects of materials and thickness reduction were analyzed. High-strength steel can be used to achieve weight reduction with comparable structural performance to conventional bumper beams.

  • This study, based on social capital theory, aims to explore how social network characteristics among organization members affect the absorptive capacity which is the ability to recognize the value of new information, assimilate it, and apply it to commercial ends. This paper also empirically investigates how the absorptive capacity will have an effect on organizational innovation performances toward achieving competitive advantages in the knowledge society. According to the degree of relationship intensity, social network shows two different characteristics: strong tied network and weak tied network. As strong tied network and weak tied network have relatively different network characteristics, this study assumes that each network affects the absorptive capacity with different aspects. Furthermore, we consider the moderation effect of a social network manager's ability in the relationship between social network and absorptive capacity. We surveyed innovative project performers who are engaged in the knowledge based industries. The empirical analysis results show that both strong tied and weak tied network positively affect the absorptive capacity. Successively, the absorptive capacity also has a positive impact on innovation performances.

Establishment on the Monitoring System for Unsaturated Characteristics Variation in a Mine Waste-Dump Slope (광산폐기물 적치사면의 불포화 특성변화 모니터링 시스템 구축)

  • Field measurement units and a system were constructed and installed in a waste-dump slope at the Imgi mine to investigate and analyze the variations in the unsaturated characteristics of the soil. The field instrumentation system was composed of a data acquisition system (DAS), a solar system, and measuring sensors. The rainfall, matric suction, and volumetric water contents were continuously measured from the units in the instrumented site. The variations in matric suction and volumetric water content were primarily affected by the rainfall intensity. At the surface of the slope, the largest increase and decrease in the changes in matric suction and volumetric water content were observed during the wetting and drying processes, respectively. Also, the matric suction and volumetric water content were 5-35 kPa and 0.12-0.24, respectively. However, the ground water level was not suddenly increased just after rainfall but gradually increased after 2 or 3 days later.
