드론이 인기다. 드론이 뜨고 있다. 드론은 왜 인기인가? 왜 드론이 인기인지를 인식해보아야 한다. 결론부터 이야기하면 드론이 인기인 이유는 드론이 MMM이기 때문이다. MMM은 필자가 2년 전 쯤에 만든 신조어로 Multipurpose Mobile Machine의 약자다. 다목적 이동 기계라는 말이다. 우리말로 줄이면 다이기(多移機)쯤 된다. 드론은 다목적 이동 기계, 즉 다이기이다. 인터넷이 군용으로 사용되다가 민간이 사용하게 된 것처럼 드론 역시 정찰, 감시, 폭격 등의 군사용으로 출발했지만, 민간이 사용하는 드론의 용도는 무척 다양하다. 사진 촬영, 영화 제작, 드라마 촬영, 음식 배달, 씨앗의 파종과 농약의 살포, 현장 탐사, 경계 근무 등 정말 다용도에 사용되고 있다. 중요한 것은 드론 각각이 다목적으로 사용될 수 있다는 것이다. 이는 드론이 단지 물리적 기계인 것이 아니라 스마트 기계로, 스마트폰과 같은 SW중심 기기와 드론에 내장된 OS와 SW에 의한 제어를 통해 비로소 실현된다. 즉, 드론은 MMM이기도 하지만, 정확히 SMM(Smart Mobile Machine)이기 때문에 그 잠재성이 인정받고 있는 것이다. 지금까지 스마트 폰, 스마트 워치, 스마트 TV 등은 모두 스마트 기기이기는 하지만 스마트 이동 기기는 아니다. 한편, 로봇 청소기 등 기존의 가정용 로봇이나 산업용 로봇은 대부분 단일목적 이동기기이거나 다목적 고정 기계이므로, 로봇이라 부르기가 민망한 기계들이었다. 필자는 드론이 이렇듯 새로운 스마트 기기 산업과 기존의 로봇 산업이 갈 길 또는 가고 있는 길을 보여주고 있다는 점에서 관심을 갖는다. 스마트 기기 산업의 관점에서는 이제 비로소 고정형(스마트TV), 부착형(스마트 워치), 휴대형(스마트 폰) 스마트 기기 산업에서 다목적 스마트 이동 기계라는 새로운 블루 오션 창출 산업이기에 의미가 있다.

디지털멀티미디어방송(DMB)은 고품질의 방송 영상 및 부가 데이터를 이동 중인 차량내에서나 휴대형 단말에서 수신할 수 있는 이동 멀티미디어 방송 서비스이다. 그러나 현재 국내에서 상용화 되고 있는 지상파와 위성 DMB 서비스는 아직 비디오와 오디오에 기반한 단순한 컨텐츠에 중심을 두고 있어 사용자의 기대치에 미치지 못하고 있는 상황이다. 그리하여 현재처럼 단순히 기존의 오디오와 비디오에 기반한 케이블 TV프로그램을 그대로 옮겨올 것이 아니라, 다양한 미디어 객체들을 추가하여 사용자 인터랙티브한 대화형 멀티미디어 컨텐츠를 지원하고 더 나아가서 사용자와 서비스 제공자와의 인터랙션을 지원하는 양방향 데이터 서비스에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 실시간 양방향 대화형 DMB 서비스를 최종목표로 먼저 PC환경에서 뿐만아니라 모바일 환경에서 MPEG-4 컨텐츠의 스트리밍 시스템을 구현함으로써 DMB시스템을 시뮬레이션 한다.

Expand the market because the size of the huge funds administered by the conversion of over-the-air digital TV broadcasts in the current situation is likely to be reduced due to the influence of the media over-the-air broadcasts new paid media, digital cable TV and IPTV new mobile TV as a new growth engineis required. Broadcasting system to increase the supply and demand of the module from the ATSC-M/H DMB business existing in the domestic over-the-air broadcasters, has seen significant achievements in sleep technology with the introduction is expected. ATSC-M/H does not require a separate frequency allocation for mobile services does not interfere with the existing ATSC system simulcast, which can be performed on Android mobile handsets American-style mobile broadcast reception module to develop should. This paper is to design the software modules in the broadcasting module embedded systems that are applied on the Android platform, broadcasting from mobile handsets to see.

디지털방송이란 방송 콘텐츠의 제작, 전송 및 재현에 이르는 모든 과정을 디지털화 함으로써, 고품질의 방송 프로그램 및 다채널 서비스를 실현하고 통신방송 융합형 서비스를 포함한 다양한 부가기능을 제공하는 방송 기술로 정의된다. 디지털방송의 주요 특징은 다음과 같다. ㆍ현재 아날로그TV보다 5∼6배 선명한 고선명(HD) 영상과 CD급 고음질의 음향을 제공함 ㆍ기존의 방송 프로그램뿐만 아니라, 영상, 음성, 음향, 문자, 그래픽 등 다양한 형태의 멀티미디어 정보를 TV수상기, 컴퓨터 모니터, 휴대전화 등 여러 가지 수신 단말을 통하여 받아볼 수 있음ㆍ방송 통신망 연동, 방송 단말의 지능화 기능 등을 통하여 시간, 공간적 제약없이 언제, 어디서나, 누구든지 시청자 개인 취향의 프로그램을 자유롭게 이용할 수 있으며, 시청자가 방송에 직접 참여하는 양방향 서비스가 가능함 ㆍ양방향 데이터 방송, TV전자상거래, T-Government 등 멀티미디어 부가서비스를 이용하여 디지털 인프라간 통합의 구심점 및 정보플랫폼(Home Gateway) 역할을 수행함.(중략)

디지털 콘텐츠의 급속한 보급과 더불어 휴대용 단말기를 이용한 eBook 관련 콘텐츠의 개발이 점증하고 있는 추세에 유통 다변화를 통한 보급 확대를 위해 스마트 TV를 통한 VOD 방송콘텐츠와 연동하여 전자책을 사용자에게 즉시로 제공할 수 있는 시스템이 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 스마트 TV 방송콘텐츠를 기반으로 한 eBook 콘텐츠의 VOD 서비스를 하이브리드형으로 휴대 스마트 기기에 제공하기 위한 효과적인 시스템의 구성과 DRM 전략을 위한 프레임워크를 제시하고 프로토타입 시스템을 제안한다.

For this study, we conducted a survey targeting elementary school students to examine how the type of family communication shows differences in the children's use of media to draw up effective measures to use media. The result of study is that meaningful differences showed according to the time spent watching TV(F=6.719, p<.05) and using PC(F=7.713, p<.05) or cell phone(F=6.404, p<.05). The authoritative type pursuing obedience preferred entertainment programs and spent much time watching TV and preferred entertainment games when using a PC. The deliberating type pursuing conversations preferred educational and informative programs when watching TV and informative programs when using a PC. This study is meaningful in that it presents lessons learned to draw up measures for children to effectively use media based on the study results.

Using a small mobile wireless network as a supplement to the disaster safety network can be useful for eliminating small radio shadowing areas, reducing traffic overloads in disaster areas, and quickly building a disaster communication network in difficult access areas. Potable base station is needed to build a small mobile wireless network, and the portable base station using TVWS(TV White Space) is effective in terms of utilization of radio frequency resources and construction cost of wireless networks. In this paper, we design and implement a power amplifier for portable base station operating in TVWS. The implemented power amplifier operates at 470 ~ 698MHz. The gain of the implemented amplifier is more than 20.1dB, the input/output return loss is more than 11.4dB, and the isolation is more than 39.9dB when the output is off. The IMD characteristic of the power amplifier has characteristics of 61.0dBc with 18.8dBm output at 470MHz, 59.3dBc wih 18.6dBm output at 550MHz and 56.5dBc with 19.0dBm output at 690MHz. The power amplifier implemented in this paper can be used as a power amplifier for portable base station.

본 논문에서는 지상파 UHF 휴대용 슬리브 안테나를 설계 제작하였다. 이 안테나는 차량 네비게이션장치에 들어가는 지상파 UHF TV 수신을 위한 안테나이다. 기존 모노폴 형태가 갖는 단점을 제거하고 성능 향상을 위해 세트 external 안테나로, 필요시에 목걸이형으로 부착이 가능한 구조를 가지고 있다. 동축선을 이용하여 슬리브 다이폴 안테나로 설계함으로써 안테나 입장에서 볼 때 접지가 부족한 문제를 해결하였다. 제작 측정한 결과 UHF 대역에서 VSWR 2:1 이하의 특성을 만족하였다.

인터넷 등 통신의 발달과 맞물려 컴퓨터, 이동전화, 셋톱박스(STB), 디지털TV, 개인휴대단말기(PDA) 등 정보단말기의 네트워크화가 급진전되면서 $\ulcorner$내장형 리눅스$\lrcorner$가 최근 정보기술(IT) 분야의 새로운 키워드로 부상하고 있다. 내장형 시스템(Embrdded System)은 특정 기능을 수행하도록 설계된 초소형 운영체제를 탑재해 기능을 최적화한 것으로, 컴퓨팅 기능을 지닌 모든 장비는 내장형 시스템의 적용분야가 된다. 내장형 운영체제(OS)로는 리눅스, 윈도CE, 팜OS 등이 인기를 끌고 있으며, 최근 들어 리눅스를 이용한 내장형 시스템 개발이 활기를 띠고 있다. 본 논문에서는 특히 Motorola사의 MPC860 마이크로 프로세서를 이용한 내장형 시스템 플랫폼에 리눅스를 이식한 사례를 중심으로 리눅스 이식의 방향을 제시하고 있다.

In this Paper, we analyze the application of Interactive Data Broadcasting in DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) in the accordance with convergence of service and technology. With the acceleration of digital convergence in the Ubiquitous period substantial development of digital media technology and convergence of broadcasting and telecommunication industry are being witnessed. Consequently these results gave rise to newly combined-products such as DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting), WCDMA(Wide-band code division multiple access), Wibro(Wireless Broadband Internet), IP-TV (Internet protocol TV) and HSDPA(High speed downlink packet access). The preparatory stage for the implementation of Interactive Data Broadcasting Service will be reached by the end of December, 2006. DMB is the first result of a successful convergence service between Broadcasting and Telecommunication in new media era. Multimedia technology and services are the core elements of DMB. The Data Broadcasting will not only offer various services of interactive information such News, Weather, Broadcasting Program etc, but also be linked with characteristic function of mobile phone such as calling and SMS(Short Message Service) via Return Channel.
