Estimation of Settling Efficiency in Sedimentation Basin Using Particle Tracking Method (입자추적기법을 이용한 침전지의 효율 평가)

  • Sedimentation basin plays an important role in urban water treatment, and there are many complicated phenomena which need to be understood for efficient design and control of it. Especially, the study on the improvement of settling efficiency is required. In this study, commercial CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) program, FLUENT, and particle tracking method were used to simulate the flow in sedimentation basin, and to predict the settling efficiency. Computational domain of real scale was made, and detail factors such as porous wall, and outlet trough were considered instead of being simplified. The simulation results were compared with the experimental data to calibrate the parameters of particle tracking method. Sensitivity analysis showed that the particle diameter had more significant effects on settling efficiency than the particle density. The computation results gave the best agreements with the experimental data, when the value of particle diameter was 26.5 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the problem of BTL business through the sensitivity analysis of financial model and presented efficiency business strategy when private business owner propose their business. For this, we analyzed the sensitivity of financial model after analyzed costs of the school facility construction case for each place of business. The results of this study are as follows. 1)As the results of the sensitivity of financial model, requirement-earning rate for the results of analysis was decreased average 2.28 points (0.5%) per increasing 0.10% and Construction costs and the maintenance costs were decreased average 10.73 points (2.38%), 6.22 points(1.38%) for increasing 1billion won. 2) The Problem of BTL business according to the sensitivity analysis of financial model was analyzed that the price consultation low investments, and estimation from personal consideration caused it. So, it was analyzed to increase maintenance costs is more efficient method than to increase construction costs.

Simulation of Agricultural Water Supply Considering Yearly Variation of Irrigation Efficiency (연단위 관개효율 변화를 고려한 관개지구 용수 공급량 모의)

  • The objective of this study was to evaluate simulation of agricultural water supply considering yearly variation of irrigation efficiency. The water supply data of the Idong reservoir from 2001 through 2009 was collected and used for this study. Total 6 parameters including irrigation efficiency (Es), drainage outlet height, and infiltration, were used for sensitivity analysis, calibration, and validation. Among the parameters, the Es appeared to be the most sensitivity parameter. The Es was calibrated on a yearly basis considering sensitivity and time-varying characteristic, while other parameters were set to fixed values. The statistics of percent bias (PBLAS), Nash-Sutcliffe efficiency (NSE), and root means square error to the standard deviation of measured data (RSR) for a monthly step were 2.7%, 0.93, and 0.26 for the calibration, and 3.9%, 0.89, and 0.32 for the validation, correspondently. The results showed a good agreement with the observations. This implies that the modeling only with appropriate parameter values, apart from modeling approaches, can simulate the real supply operation reasonably well. However, the simulations with uncalibrated parameters from previous studies produced poor results. Thus, it is important to use calibrated values, and especially, we suggest the Es's yearly calibration for simulating agricultural water supply.

A Study of Individual Differences across Numerosity Sensitivity, Visual Working Memory and Visual Attention (수량민감도와 시각작업기억 및 시각적 주의 간 개인차 연구)

  • Numerosity perception is considered as an innate ability of human being where its sensivitiy may widely vary across each individual person. The present study explored the relationship between visual working memory (VWM), visual search efficiency, and numerosity sensitivity. To accomplish this, we calculated each participant's K-value from change detection performance representing one's storage capacity in VWM, slopes of search RTs representing the search efficiency, and discrimination sensitivity for a quantity difference across two sets of dot arrays representing the numerosity sensitivity. The correlational analysis across the measurements revealed that participants with a high VWM capacity better discriminated the numerosity difference in the arrays when the spatial information in the two dot arrays was preserved. In contrast, the participants with high search efficiency discriminated better the difference in the arrays when the spatial information in the arrays was not preserved. The results indicate high VWM-capacity individuals were presumably able to use a strategy of storing the dot arrays by grouping them into a smaller pattern of dot arrays while high search-efficiency individuals were able to use a strategy of rapidly switching their focused attention across the dots in the arrays to count each individual dot. These in sum suggest that individual differences in numerosity sensitivity rely on one's working memory capacity as well as their efficient use of switching focused attention.

  • 각 송전선로의 임피던스 변화에 대한 과부하 선로 조류의 민감도를 통하여 과부하 선로를 해소하기 위한 여유 송전선로의 투입과 운전 중인 선로의 차단을 한꺼번에 체계적으로 수행하는 민감도와 스위치 상태변경을 최소화하는 스위칭의 알고리즘이 제시된다. 이를 통해 수많은 케이스의 스위칭 경우의 수를 대폭적으로 줄임으로써 효율적으로 선로 스위칭을 수행하여 효과적인 과부하 해소 대책을 세우는 기법을 제시한다. 이 기법을 IEEE 39 모선 시스템에 적용하여 제시된 알고리즘의 효과를 보여준다.

  • 본 논문에서는 응답자가 민감한 속성을 가지고 있지 않으면 직접 "예"라고 응답하고, 민감한 속성을 가지고 있으면 Greenberg et al.(1969)의 무관질문모형의 확률장치를 이용하여 선택된 질문에 응답을 하는 새로운 무관확률화응답모형을 제안하였다. 그리고, 제안한 모형이 Mangat(1994)의 관련질문모형보다 효율적인 되는 조건을 제시하였고, 수치적으로 효율성을 비교하였다. 또한, Leysieffer와 Warner(1976)의 위험함수와 Flinger et al.(1977)의 사생활 보호 측도를 이용하여 제안한 모형이 Mangat의 관련질문모형에 비하여 개인의 사생활을 보호해 주는 측면에서 더 효율적임을 보였다.효율적임을 보였다.

  • This study presents an effective stiffness-based optimal technique to control quantitatively lateral drift and evaluate the structural behavior characteristics and efficiency for tall outrigger system subject to lateral loads. To this end, displacement sensitivity depending on behavior characteristics of outrigger system is established and approximation concept that preserves the generality of the mathematical programming and can efficiently solve large scale problems is introduced. Specifically, under the 'constant-shape' assumption, resizing technique of member is developed. Four types of 50 story frameworks are presented to illustrate the features of the quantitative lateral drift control technique proposed in this study.

This paper analyzes the sensitivity of the Gathering data and analyzes the impact energy efficiency of the vessel operation by analyzing the influence among each parameter, using the mathematical models, you create an surrogate model using the math model, comparative analysis of actual measurement data and predictive results were analyzed. Through the use of big data analysis technology, it is possible to identify the sensitivity between the energy efficiency related variables of the ship, The possibility of utilization of fuel efficiency indicators using of the surrogate model is identified.

  • 본 논문에서는 사회적 통념상 또는 개인적으로 매우 민감한 사안에 대한 조사시 무응답이나 거짓응답으로 인한 비표본오차를 줄여서 추정의 신뢰성을 높일 수 있도록 고안된 확률화응답기법을 이용하여 이지모집단내의 민감집단의 비율을 추정할 때 신분보호 정도가 같게 되는 조건하에서 추정의 효율을 높일 수 있는 의사 2단계 확률화응답기법을 제안하고 여러 형태의 확률화응답기법들과의 효율성 비교를 통하여 제안된 기법이 효율적일 수 있는 조건을 찾아보았다.
