선반 기어박스의 기어열 - 축계 진동 해석 및 저감에 관한 연구 (Vibration Analysis and Reduction of the Geared Transmission System in a Lathe Gear Box)

  • In this study, torsional and lateral vibrations of a gear box transmission system were analyzed theoretically using some mathematical models and examined to determine the causes of its excessive vibrations. As the results, it was found there exist possibility of resonance between gear mesh frequencies and lateral vibration mode of the transmission shaft during the third shifting mode operation. In order to avoid this resonance, we proposed changing the arrangement of gears on the transmission shaft. The measured vibration levels of the improved gear box were dramatically reduced. These results may be helpful to design a machine tool gear box with low noise and vibration.

  • 고유진동수와 감쇠비는 지진이나 바람과 같은 동적 횡하중에 대해 구조물의 응답을 결정하는 주요한 특성이다. 본 연구는 지진하중에 대하여 목표응답 수준을 만족하는 구조물의 고유진동수와 감쇠비를 지정하고, 이 값을 실현하는 점탄성 감쇠기 파라미터의 처적분포를 구하는 설계방법을 제안한다. 여기서 지정할 고유진동수와 감쇠비는 목표응답 수준을 만족하는 여러 조합 중 설계조건과 원래 건물의 특성에 따라 결정될 수 있다. 제안한 설계방법은 점탄성 감쇠기의 감성 파라미터를 고유값의 기울기 정보를 바탕으로 분포시키므로 최적 위치와 크기에 대한 정보를 동시에 제공한다. 예제로서 평면 10층 전단 건물을 대상으로 최적설계를 수행하여 지정된 고유값을 실현하는 파라미터의 최적분포를 구하고 이를 통해 제안한 최적 설계의 특성을 확인하였다. 또한 더 나아가 3차원 일방향 비대칭 전단전물에 제안된 최적설계를 수행하여 그에 대한 적용가능성을 확인하였다.

  • In this study, two mathematical models are first constructed to analyze vibration characteristics of a gear train - spindle system of an NC lathe gear box. One is a lumped parameter model which is used for calculating natural frequencies of the torsional vibration, the other is a finite element model for analyzing lateral vibration and critical speeds of the spindle system. In addition, this study examines some possible resonance conditions such as gear mesh frequencies, 1X shaft rpm frequencies over whole operating speed range, and so on. The results may be helpful to design a machine tool gear box with low noise and vibration.

  • To improve the riding comfort and to increase the speed of high-speed railway, it needs active suspension system for railway more and more. In Korea, Korean Train Express (KTX) was opened to commercial traffic 2years ago. Korea High-speed Railway (HSR 350x) is being developed and succeeded 350km/h test run. With the increase of the speed, the vibration control of the high-speed railway becomes important to meet high ride quality. In this paper, we suggest the install of lateral damper to HSR 350x. The result shows better ride quality.

  • In order to meet the growing demands for higher storage density as well as lower noise level, the spindles In hard disk drives are to be supported by hydrodynamic bearings in place of conventional ones. However, the existing models are inappropriate to apply to accurate Prediction or vibration characteristics because the Inn spindle tends to take quite a complex shape to secure the performance of the new type bearings. In this context, this paper treats analysis of free and forced vibrations of such-designed HDD spindles based on more sophisticated models and validation by means of experiments. Remarkably, to this end each component in the system is modeled as elastic adopting the finite element method.

  • Small passenger and car carrier ships are mainly used as a connection way between land and small islands. And these ships should be designed to enlarge the capacity of passenger and car loading within limited space and draft. So the resonances of various vibrations exist in normal operation range of engine and propulsion shafting. In this paper, hull's superstructure vibration which was especially induced by the 1st order excitation of whirling vibration on the 2-engines and 2-propulsion shafting systems is introduced. Also these are verified via the theoretical analysis using transfer matrix method and FEA software ANSYS and its vibration measurement.

균열회전체의 고조파진동 해석 (Analysis of Harmonic Vibration of Cracked Rotor)

  • Harmonic vibration characteristics for the general rotor model having a breathing crack are analyzed. Analyses are performed at the half critical speed ranges. The vibration characteristics are explained by using the additional slope and bending moment at the crack position and the influence coefficient showing the structural dynamic characteristics of the rotor. With the low crack depth the magnitude of the additional slope is kept constant even at the speed range at which the orbit magnitude is very sensitive to the rotational speed change. At this speed range the vibration is affected by the influence coefficient only. As the dynamic bending moment exceeds the static bending moment with the increase of crack depth. the additional slope affects the vibration amplitude of cracked rotor and the crack propagation rate increases.

  • 논문에서는 시험선인 소형 위그선의 주날개 구조를 엔진 및 프로펠러에 의해 유발되는 진동을 가진력으로 하여 강제진동 해석을 수행하였다. 대상 위그선은 2행정의 왕복엔진을 날개에 장착하여 프로펠러에 의한 추력으로 비행하며, 미는 형식(Pusher Type)의 엔진 배열을 취하고 있다. 유한요소해석을 위해서 구조해석 상용프로그램인 MSC/NASTRAN을 사용하였으며, 엔진의 주요 진동 특성인 H-mode 와 V-mode 그리고 X-mode를 특정 가진 주파수로 하여 주파수 응답 해석을 수행하였고, 엔진의 횡방향 진동 모드인 L-mode를 프로펠러의 회전에 의해 진동을 수반하는 가진 추력으로 가정하여 과도응답 해석을 수행한 후 날개의 진동 특성을 살펴보았다.

공기부양선의 추진 및 부양축계 횡진동 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of Lateral Vibration of Flexible Shafting System for Propulsion and Lift in Air Cushion Vehicle)

  • In this study, lateral vibration analysis has been conducted on a propulsion and lift shafting system for an air cushion vehicle using ANSYS code. The shafting system is totally flexible multi-elements system including air propeller, aluminum alloy of lift fan and thin walled shaft with flexible coupling. The analysis included the lateral natural frequencies, mode shapes and harmonic analysis of the shafting system taking into account three-dimensional models for propulsion and lifting shaft system. In case of ACV the yawing and pitching rate of craft will be quite high. During yawing and pitching of craft significant gyroscopic moment will be applied to the shafting and will generate high amplitude of lateral vibration. So, such a shafting system has very intricate lateral vibrating characteristics and natural frequencies of shafting must be avoided in the range of operating revolution. The control of lateral vibration is included in this study.

  • The reliability assurance with respect to the test procedure and results of the out-pile mechanical performance test for the nuclear fuel assembly is an essential task to assure the test quality and to get a permission for fuel loading into the commercial reactor core. For the case of vibration test, which is carried out to obtain basic dynamic characteristics of the fuel assembly, proper management and appropriate calibration of instruments and devices used in the test, various efforts to minimize the possible error during the test and signal acquisition process are needed. Additionally, the deep understanding both of the theoretical assumption and simplification cation for the signal processing/modal analysis and of the functions of the devices used in the test were highly required. Finally, to verify the test result to represent the accurate natural characteristics of the structure, the proper correlation analysis between the theoretical and experimental method has to be carried out. In this study, the overall procedure and result of lateral vibration test for the fuel assembly's mechanical characterization were briefly introduced. A series of measures to assure and improve the reliability of the vibration test were discussed.
