A Study on the Heat Transfer Characteristics in the Composite Heat Pipe as Modeling Turbine Rotor (터어빈 회전차를 모델로하는 복합 히이트파이프의 전열특성에 대한 연구)

  • The purpose of this research is to study the characteristics of heat transfer in composite rotary heat pipe as modeled turbine rotating by a finite element analysis and experiment. Nu number, Re number, Pr number and dimensionless condensate layer thickness by thermal input and revolutions per minute were given as analysis factors. The comparison between calculated and experimental data showed similar tendency. Therefore the analysis method may be useful to predict the performance of composite heat pipe. The resistance on heat pipe showed the best effect of heat transfer by film condensation, by decreasing film condensation, the heat transfer rate from condenser was increased rapidly. The dimensionless condensate layer thickness according to Re number at given Pr number showed constant values, the dimensionless condensate layer thickness is proportionate to the square root of inverse of revolution number per minute. In this study Nu=A$({\delta}({\omega}/v)^{-1/2}Re^B)$ is used to the convection heat transfer coefficient and A=0.963, B=0.5025 were obtained as analysis predicts.

  • The steady-state rotation of plasma centrifuge is theoretically analyzed to understand the physics of rotating plasmas and its feasibility for isotope separation. The centrifuge system under consideration consists of an annular gap between coaxial cylindrical anode and cathode in the presence of an externally-applied axial magnetic field. A problem for coupled partial differential equations describing centrifuge fields is formulated on the basis of the magnetohydrodynamic equations. Two-dimensional solutions are found analytically in the form of Fourier-Bessel series. The current density and velocity distributions are discussed in terms of the Hartmann number and the geometrical parameter of the system. At typical conditions, rotational speeds of the plasma up to the order of 10$^4$m/sec are achievable, and increase either with increasing Hartmann number, or with increasing ratio of the axial length to the inner radius of the cylinder. In view of much higher speeds of rotation which can be achieved in plasma centrifuge, it is expected that its efficiency is superior to mechanically driven gas centrifuges.

  • AGeneral radiation measuring devices have been developed in the form of spatial dose rate detection devices that measure dose rates to radioactive contaminant and 2D or 3D imaging devices for radioactive contamination information. Each of these radiation detection techniques has advantages. The advantages of both detection devices are necessary to minimize personal injury and rapid decontamination in the area of a radioactive accident. In this paper, we proposed a technique that can measure the dose rate and direction information about the radioactive pollutant source in real time using a detection sensor, a rotating body, and a directional shield for radioactive pollutant detection. The rotational-based detection device is configured to check the dose rate and direction using the location information of the rotator and measurement value. We proposed a measurement technique for vertical and horizontal directions through multiple holes. It was confirmed that the measurement error for direction information was less than 1% when detected in the horizontal direction.

  • To avoid arbitrary design and excessive braces of system supports with high reusability in the field, this study aimed to propose connection conditions for the vertical and horizontal joints of the system supports based on performance evaluation. Disk-type and pocket-type connection materials, widely used in domestic construction sites, were selected for evaluation of rotational stiffness based on load directions(vertical and horizontal) and loading methods (monotonic and cyclic). Contrary to the current design standards specifying a rotational stiffness of "0" for connection materials, the experimental results revealed that, contrary to the current design standards specifying a rotational stiffness of "0" for connection materials, all specimens exhibited rotational stiffness values. The maximum rotational stiffness was observed to be 19.624 kNm/rad in specimens subjected to repeated loading in the vertical direction using disk-type connection materials.

  • 본 논문에서는 매입형 영구자석 동기전동기(IPMSM)의 속도추정을 위한 새로운 센서리스 알고리즘을 제안한다. 매입형 영구자석 동기 전동기의 기본 전압 방정식을 이용하여 회전자의 자속을 추정하고, 위상고정루프(PLL)를 사용하여 회전자의 위치와 속도를 추정하는 방법으로 센서리스 알고리즘을 구성하였다. Matlab SIMULINK를 이용한 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통하여 제안된 알고리즘을 검증하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 자속집중 방식의 회전자 구조를 적용한 페라이트 영구자석 BLDC 모터의 원가절감 설계에 대하여 연구하였다. 자속집중형 회전자에 Al-wire가 적용된 신규 모터를 이용하여 Cu-wire가 사용된 표면부착형 모터와 동일 외경, 동등 이상 효율, 동등 이하 적층에서 원가절감 하였다.

Magnetic Guidance Vehicle using Up-and-down Rotating Type Differential Drive Unit (상하 회전형 차동 구동부를 이용한 자기 유도 무인운반차)

  • This paper presents the study about MGV(Magnetic guidance vehicle) with up-and-down rotating type differential drive unit. Previous MGV needs the landmarks to get the driving information and additional sensor to recognize the landmarks except for localization sensor. Previous MGV requires at least 2 drive units when common fixed differential drive unit is used because it occurs the problems with driving control and localization error from imbalance of the MGV's weight. To solve such problems, we propose the MGV using up-and-down rotating type differential drive unit. Proposed MGV recognizes the driving information from the pattern which is consisted of both pole of magnet without landmarks and additional sensors, and it control the backward movement using up-and-down rotating type differential drive unit instead of common drive units. Proposed MGV considers KF(Kalman filter) to improve the localization accuracy. To verify the performance of proposed method, we designed MGV for the experiment. As the results, we can confirm the performance of propoesed method to recognize the pattern and to control the backward movement. With respect to localization, proposed method has the less RMSE about 5.6904 mm than previous method.

고속 회전축-베어링계의 스퀴즈-필름 댐퍼에 관한 연구

  • 최근 터어보 샤프트, 터어보 팬, 터어보 쳇트 엔진, 가스 터어빈, 공작기계의 주축, 그리고 섬유기계 섬유봉등의 회전기계류 설계에서 단위 무게당 출력의 비율을 높이기 위해서 회전속도의 고속화가 요구되고 있다. 이러한 경우 회전축계의 진동특성에 크게 영향을 미치는 감쇠특성을 부각시키기 위하여 베어링의 외부에 스퀴즈-필름 댐퍼 (Squeeze-film Damper)를 부가하고 회전축계를 유연하게 지지하여 줌으로써 진동문제를 간단히 해결하며 회전속도의 고속화를 가능하게 할 수 있다. 적합하게 설계된 스퀴즈-필름 댐퍼의 잇점은 다음과 같다. (a) 회전축의 위험속도를 작은 공진쪽으로서 통과하는 것이 가능. (b) 베어링과 지지구조물에 전달되는 하중이 감소 (c) 장기간 사용중, 마모 및 브레이드 파손에 의해 진폭이 증가된 불평형 강제진동에서도 안정된 운전이 가능 (d) 미끄럼 저어널 베어링에 지지된 회전축계의 고속회전에서 불안정한 자려진동이 나타나는 안정 한계속도를 높히는 것이 가능
