An Exploratory Study on the Advertising Skepticism and Avoiding of Youtube Users based on Media Platform (미디어 플랫폼 유튜브 이용자의 광고 회의주의와 광고 회피 현상에 대한 고찰)

  • As the media environment changes rapidly, the size of the online advertising market is growing rapidly. However, consumer's trustfulness in online advertising is much lower than that of old media, and there is also a phenomenon of advertising avoidance. Thus, in this study, advertising skepticism, advertising appeals, involvement, and FCB Grid theory were used to provide Youtube and advertisers with implications for advertising strategies. It was intended to provide a way to lower consumer advertising avoidance. As a result of Research 1, consumers with high advertising avoidance showed low advertising attitudes, brand attitudes, and attitudes toward products. In addition, there was no difference in gender, and when the frequency of online video viewing decreased and the age increased, advertising avoidance increased. Research 2 shows that consumers with high levels of advertising skepticism showed a high level of advertising attitude when the level of involvement was low and transformational appeal was high. In the FCB Grid model, consumers with high levels of advertising skepticism are found to be suitable for transformational appeal advertising. These results mean that Youtube and advertisers should think important about advertising skepticism, which is the cause of advertising avoidance, and that consumers with high levels of advertising skepticism should be presented with advertisements suitable for each type of product in the online advertising market.

Cloning, Consensus Conference, Deliberative Democracy (생명복제, 합의회의, 심의민주주의)

  • This article addresses the 2nd Korean consensus conference on cloning that was held by the Korean National commission for UNESCO in 1999. Though previous perspectives recognized the conference as a new citizen's participatory institution. they do not consider that it contains the ideal of deliberative democracy. This article notes that the citizens participated directly and handled the important social agenda through debate in the consensus conference. The consensus conference is another democratic form derived from preference aggregating democracy in the sense that it basically depends on public judgement of the citizens. This consensus conference has the historical meaning because it is in fact the first experiment of deliberative democracy in Korea. 1) We examine the theoretical foundations of consensus conference. They are social constructionism of science, the tradition of societal debate, and deliberative democracy. 2) We explore what deliberative democracy is. It is different from aggregating preference democracy in the sense that it depends on public judgement rather than private preferences. 3) We investigate the features and meaning of deliberative democracy which has experiment on the conference. In the Consensus Conference it was observed that citizens changed their preferences and went forward to developing their view of community as a result of the process of deliberation. It can be said to confirm the significance of deliberative democracy. However, it is simultaneously an opportunity to clarify some problems of deliberative democracy. First of all, it shows that there were hierarchies within the citizens' panel as well as between the citizens' and the specialists' panels. Secondly, there are difficulties in expressing the value of life in argument or discourse. Also, we need the institutional efforts concerning future generations and nonhuman beings in the respect that cloning relates to them.

한국 과학자들의 과학자 사회 규범에 대한 인식과 평가 : 물리학, 화학, 생물학을 중심으로

  • 이 논문은 우리나라의 물리학, 화학, 생물학 분야의 과학자들을 대상으로 한 설문조사를 바탕으로 머튼이 과학자사회의 규범구조로 정식화한 네 가지 규범들-보편성, 공유성, 탈이해관계, 조직화된 회의-과 국가주의 가치관이 실제 과학자사회에서 어느정도 작동하고 있는지를 분석하였다. 전반적으로 응답자들은 한국 과학자사회에서 출신대학과 해외학위라는 귀속적 지위의 영향으로 보편성 규범이 제대로 작동하지 않는 것으로 평가했고, 여성의 경우 성의 영향도 큰 것으로 평가하고 있었다. 공유성과 탈이해관계 규범의 경우 한편으로 공유성과 탈이해관계라는 전통적인 규범이 그리고 다른 한편으로는 비밀주의와 연구주제 선정에 있어서 산업적 응용성과 국가적 필요를 강조하는 국가주의적 가치가 공존하고 있었다. 조직화된 회의 규범의 경우 특히 과학적 증거 이외의 다른 권위들에 대해 회의적인 태도를 견지해야 한다는 규범이 제대로 작동되지 않는다는 평가가 대다수였다. 과학자사회의 규범과 가치에 대한 평가는 각 과학자들의 연구환경에 따라 상이한 모습을 보여주는데 특히 젊은 세대의 과학자들이 보편성과 조직화된 회의 규범의 위반을 더 강도 있게 지적하는 반면 연구 주제의 선정에 있어서 탈이해관계 규범은 부정하는 경향을 보여주고 있다.

'규칙따르기 역설'에 대한 크립키 논증의 비판적 분석

  • 비트겐슈타인의 규칙따르기 개념에 대한 올바른 이해는 그의 후기 철학의 궤적을 살피는데 있어서 중요하다. 비트겐슈타인의 규칙따르기 문제에 대해 회의적 해석으로 유명한 크립키는 "탐구"의 201절을 문제 삼으며 '역설'의 문제를 새로운 형식의 철학적 회의주의로 간주했다. 본 논문은 규칙의 역설에 대한 크립키의 논증이 비트겐슈타인의 관점과 무엇 때문에 충돌하는지를 밝히면서 그와 함께 비트겐슈타인이 '규칙의 역설'을 제시한 궁극적 이유를 규명하는데 있다. 규칙의 역설에 대한 크립키 논증의 의의와 한계를 비판적으로 다룸으로서 필자는 다음과 같은 점을 주장할 것이다. 비트겐슈타인에게 있어서 규칙은 우리들의 행동을 이끄는 지침의 역할을 하며, 규칙의 문제를 추론과 연관시켜 수학이 엄격한 규칙을 따르는 인간의 지적 활동이며, 규칙에 대한 비트겐슈타인의 관점은 귀납적 회의주의와 무관하다. 이런 맥락에서 비트겐슈타인을 회의주의자 혹은 상대주의자로 평가하는 것은 문제가 있다. 그런 점에서 비트겐슈타인은 오히려 어떤 이론이나 선입견에 사로잡히지 않은 봄의 방식을 강조한 철학자로 평가하는 것이 옳다.

Das Problem der philosophischen Letztbegründung und des Fallibilismus (철학적 최종근거지음과 오류주의의 문제)

  • Der vorliegende Beitrag problematisiert die Zeichen einer Zeit, in der nach der 'Wende des Sprachparadigmas' alle Prozesse einer Posttranszendenz, die in der heutigen philosophischen Problemsituation versucht werden, $bel{\ddot{a}}chelt$ werden, der Relativismus, Partikularismus und Skeptizismus $verst{\ddot{a}}rkt$ wird, und als Resultat die Kritik, Ablehnung und das Desinteresse an der Ideologie der Vernunft und Wahrheit sich verbreitet. Ich werde daher umgekehrt gerade an diesem Punkt ansetzen und ${\ddot{u}}ber$ die Notwendigkeit und Dringlichkeit der Rehabilitierung der "$Realit{\ddot{a}}t$ einer moralischen Vernunft" nachdenken. Zweck dieses Beitrags ist es, in Zusammenhang mit der Rehabilitierung der $Realit{\ddot{a}}t$ einer moralischen Vernunft, aufzuzeigen, welche theoretische Erkenntnis bzw.moralische Erkenntnis wahr ist, d.h., dass ein 'bewiesenes', da 'objektiv gerechtfertigtes' Argument existiert. $Daf{\ddot{u}}r$ werde ich als erstes auf das Problem der Relativistischen und Skeptizistischen Anhaltspunkte philosophisch eingehen(2), zur ${\ddot{U}}berwindung$ dieser Anhaltspunkte eine Rechtfertigung der rationelen und moralischen $Begr{\ddot{u}}ndung$ versuchen(3). In Folge soll betrachtet werden, dass die Rechtfertigung der rational moralischen $Begr{\ddot{u}}ndung$ mit dem Problem der $Letztbegr{\ddot{u}}ndung$ in enger Verbindung steht(4), und nachdem darauf hingewiesen wird, dass dies durch eine Konfrontation mit der Fallibilismus These zu erkenntnistheoretisch objektiver $G{\ddot{u}}ltigkeit$ gelangt(5), werde ich den Beitrag $abschlie{\ss}en$(6).

The Influence of Korean Collectivism(Uri, we-ness) on Interpersonal Communication Behaviors (한국적 집단주의(우리성, we-ness)가 대인 커뮤니케이션에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구)

  • It was argued that the collectivism found among Koreans are quite differenct from the collectivism defined by Western theories. The study aims to define the dimensions of the Korean collectivism (Uri, we-ness) and to examine the influence of Uri dimensions on various interpersonal communication behaviors. Result found that Uri was composed of six dimensions: Mental support, group-selfishness, group-skepticism, individual sacrifice, group-oriented attitude, and emotional intimacy. The six dimensions were able to be integrated into positive collectivism (mental support, group-oriented attitude, emotional intimacy) and negative collectivism (group-selfishness, group-skepticism, individual sacrifice). It was found that positive collectivism generally influenced on constructive communication behaviors while negative collectivism generally influenced on deconstructive communication behaviors.
