Recently, the coastal transportation of the Yellow Sea is increasing due to the vastly expanding trade among countries surrounding the Yellow Sea. As the 50 percentages of the total domestic container transportation are concentrated on the National Capital region, the traffic congestion in the key land transportation routes brings about the weakening of the global competitiveness. In this study, the efficient barge systems for sea-river shipping of the Han-river, the Kyongin canal and coastal ways of the Yellow Sea are considered based on the criterion of canal and cargo volumes. To find the efficient barge system of the model barge in the Kyongin canal. the transport efficiency factor and transport ability of each barge system with the variation of sailing speed and length are calculated.

Smart cities are expanding their spatial scope to urban areas and regions. Linking regional economic development strategies beyond the borders with smart city planning can lead to cooperation and economic development between regions and countries as well. The purpose of this study is to suggest cooperation and regional development of the three nations - Korea, North Korea and China - through the Yellow Sea Rim Smart Region. To this end, smart city strategies and economic development plan with implementation status in the three countries including special economic zones have analyzed that could be the spatial basis of the smart region. On the west coast of Korea facing the Yellow Sea, lots of projects related to smart cities are actively underway in Saemangeum, Yellow Sea Free Economic Zone(YESFEZ), and Incheon Free Economic Zone(IFEZ). Although the political situation is still uncertain, North Korea is analyzed to have economic and technical potential in the west coast connecting Haeju, Nampo, and Sinuiju. In Liaoning and Shandong provinces of China, smart city projects have been actively promoted in recent years especially in the state-supporting industrial cities. Restoration of economic cooperation between South Korea and China, linkage of transportation networks, vitalization of cross-border cooperation projects between China and North Korea centered on Dandong and Sinuiju, and the connecting of smart city infrastructure and services for China and South Korea's economic cooperation process will make the Yellow Sea Rim as a world prosperous economic region. However, it is necessary to establish and operate a governance system through long-term planning for transnational consultation and establishment of a promotion organization.

To analyze the port choice hierarchy, factorial and AHP analysis were conducted based on the survey for shippers using west coastal ports. As the result of analysis with 17 factors, 6 main factors; port service, port operation and geographical condition, connectivity to hinterland, port cost, accessibility and facilities were chosen. Based on this, AHP and correlation analysis of each factor were conducted. And the results were shown as cost, service, facility, connectivity, accessibility and operation in order. In addition, several ways for incentive program, the most important factor based on AHP analysis, to influence shippers around west coastal port were reviewed. As the result of review for the incentive program of domestic container ports, it was shown that three ports, Gun-san, Dae-san and Mok-po, offer incentive to shipper while two ports, Pyeong-tak and Dang-jin, do not. Therefore, the former three ports need to reinforce the existing incentive program while the latter ones introduce it.

본 연구에서는 부분적으로 형성되었거나 형성될 예정인 해상을 통한 남북 물류네트워크를 분석하여 남북교역 및 북방물류프로세스가 원활하고도 안정적으로 이루어질 수 있는 방안을 모색해 보고 해상과 육상을 연계한 북방물류 경로를 비교 검토해 봄으로써 대표적인 북망물류 경로를 활용하여 북방물류를 활성화할 수 있는 방안을 모색해 보았다. 부산-나진 항로 경유 북방물류 네트워크 구축에 있어 동북아 금삼각지구 개발사업을 분석하였으며, 부산-나진 항로를 중심으로 북방물류네트워크 형성하기 위해서는 중국 동북 3성의 환동해권 해륙복합운송망을 형성하고, 나진을 TSR의 기점으로 활용하며, 해상과 육상을 연결하는 남북 물류망을 형성함으로써, 북한을 경유한 북방교역이 확대되도록 한다. 또한 나진항 물동량에 맞추어 나진신항개발계획 검토안을 구상해 보았으며, 동북아시아 물류네트워크를 구축하기 위한 방안은 먼저, 환황해권 물류네트워크를 구축하고 환동해권 물류네트워크를 구축하여 환황해와 환동해 물류네트워크 연계를 통한 동북아시아 물류네트워크를 구축하고 나아가 환태평양 물류네트워크를 구축한다.

난바다곤쟁이는 북태평양 동부해역으로부터 베링해, 오우츠크해, 동해와 황해에 이르기까지 광범위하게 분포하는 종으로서 형태학적 분류관점에서 동일종으로 간주되고 있다. 최근에 밝혀진 황해 개체군의 생태학적 특성에 의하면 미국 서부해역과 황해에 서식하는 두 개체군은 지리적으로 멀리 떨어져 있음에도 불구하고 공히 비교적 낮은 수온 (< 1$0^{\circ}C$)의 수심에서 서식하며 강력한 일주수직상승운동 (diurnal vertical migration)을 수행하는 등 많은 특성을 공유하는 것으로 밝혀졌다 (Yoon et al., in press). 본 연구는 미국 서부연안과 한국 서해에 서식하는 난바다곤쟁이 개채군의 물리, 생태, 형태학적인 공통 특성이 유전학적인 측면에서도 관찰되는지를 조사하고자 한다.
