SEM을 이용한 미세 접합 시스템 개발 (A Development of SEM Applied Microjoining System)

  • Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) has been used as a surface measurement instrument and a tool for lithography in semiconductor process due to its high density localized beam. For those purposes, however, the maximum current of SEM Is less than 100pA, which is not enough fo material processing. In this paper SEM was modified to increase the amount of current reaching a specimen from gun part where current is generated, the possibility of applying SEM to material processing, especially microjoining, was investigated. The maximum current of SEM after modifications was measured up to 10$\mu$A, which is about 10$^{5}$ times greater than before modifications. Through experiments such as eutectic solder wetting on thin 304 stainless steel foil and microjoining of 10$\mu$m thick 304 stainless steel, the intensity of electron beam of SEM proved to be great enough fur material processing as heat source. And a tight jig system was found necessary to hold materials close enough fur successful microloining.

배합(配合)고무의 가황온도(加黃溫度) 계수(係數)

  • Mooney 점도계(粘度計)의 scorch time을 이용(利用)하여 가황온도(加黃溫度) 계수(係數)를 측정(測定)하였다. 그 결과(結果), 가황온도(加黃溫度) 계수(係數)는 온도(溫度)가 $10^{\circ}C$ 상승시(上昇時)마다 대개 $1.6\sim2.6$의 치(値)를 나타내나 가황제(加黃劑)나 촉진제(促進劑)의 종류(種類)와 량(量)에 따라 변(變)한다. 특(特)히 황일촉진제(黃一促進劑) 배합물(配合物)에서의 가황온도(加黃溫度) 계수(係數)는 배합제(配合劑)에 대한 황(黃)과 촉진제(促進劑)의 사용량(使用量)에 관계(關係)하며 그 영향은 황(黃)쪽이 크다. 또한 황(黃)은 가황온도(加黃溫度)가 $145^{\circ}C$ 근처에서 가장 활성화(活性化)되며, 가황온도(加黃溫度) 계수(係數)는 높게 된다.

MEMS용 double-folded 스프링의 회전강성 개선 및 실험 평가 (Experiment characterization of the improvement of the rotational stiffness of the double-folded springs for MEMS structures)

  • Compared to the simple-beam springs, double-folded springs have advantages of the linearity even at the long stroke, so that they have been widely used for optical components such as optical switches and optical attenuators. Until now only the stiffness of the double-folded springs dn the perpendicular direction of the shuttle movement has been considered for the stable operation, however, the rotational stiffness of the splings has not been researched as much. Therefore, this paper suggests the double-folded springs of the maximum rotational stiffness with the constant stiffness in the stroke direction using the reliability based topology optimization (RBTO), whose operation properties were experimentally characterized.

  • This paper presents a novel movable microneedle that becomes active when necessary to use. Conventional researches have been focused on the fabrication of microneedles and the interface with fluidic chip [1,2]. Therefore, we proposed an active microneedle to sample body fluids or deliver drugs in a controlled amount by actuating the needles. This allows us to keep the needles in operation only when necessary so that both the body skin and the needles can be protected from undesirable external disturbance while no operation.

Chevron형 bi-stable MEMS 구동기의 모델링 및 실험적 응답특성 분석 (Modeling and Experimental Response Characterization of the Chevron-type Bi-stable Micromachined Actuator)

  • Compliant bi-stable mechanism allows two stable states within its operation range staying at one of the local minimum states of the potential energy. Energy storage characteristics of the bi-stable mechanism offer two distinct and repeatable stable states, which require no power input to maintain it at each stable state. This paper suggests an equivalent model of the chevron-type bi-stable microactuator using the equivalent spring stiffness in the rectilinear and the rotational directions. From this model the range of spring stiffness where the bi-stable mechanism can be operated is analyzed and compared with the results of the FEA (Finite Element Analysis) using ANSYS for the buckling analysis, both of which show a good agreement. Based on the analysis, a newly designed chevron-type bi-stable MEMS actuator using hinges is suggested for the latch-up operation. It is found that the experimental response characteristics of around 36V for the bi-stable actuation for the 60$mu extrm{m}$ stroke correspond very well to the results of the equivalent model analysis after the change in cross-sectional area by the fabrication process is taken into account. Together with the resonance frequency experiment where 1760Hz is measured, it is shown that the chevron-type bi-stable MEMS actuator using hinges is applicable to the optical switch as an actuator.

대표 입경과 하도 특성의 관계 분석 (Research on Relationship of Bed Material and Channel Characteristics)

  • 개별 하천에 존재하는 하상재료는 상류의 지질특성과 유수에 의한 작용력의 특성을 반영하고 있으며 유수에 의한 작용력은 하상경사와 유량규모에 지배적인 영향을 받는다. 산본 황일(山本 晃一)(1994)에 의하면 자연하천에서 동일한 경사를 가지는 하도 구간은 하상재료, 소류력, 저수로 폭, 수심 등이 대체로 동일한 값을 나타내고 있으며, 하도 특성을 지배하는 주요인자로 각 하천의 평균연최대유량, 하상재료의 대표입경, 하상경사 등을 설정하고 있다. 하상재료는 하도의 물리적, 생태적 특성을 지배하는 대표적인 인자로 의미가 있으나 국내에서는 이와 관련된 연구가 미비한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 국내 하천의 하도 특성을 분석하는 기초연구로서 대표하천에 대한 하상재료를 채취하여 분석하였으며 이를 분급도와 하상경사와의 관계로 도시하여 하상재료 분포 특성을 분석하였으며 이를 일본 하천의 하상재료 특성과 비교하였다. 분석결과에 의하면 분급도, 무차원 소류력, 하상경사와의 관계 분석을 통해서 자갈과 모래하천은 그 특성이 뚜렷이 구분됨을 확인할 수 있었으며, 하상경사와 대표입경의 관계도 모래와 자갈을 구분하여 접근하여야 함을 확인하였다.
