This study investigated the health outcomes of the aged male workers who retired before 2003, using the Korean Labor and Income Panel Study data. Empirical study shows that the subjective and objective health conditions of the retiree are worse than the non-retired. And the random-effect panel probit analyses got the results that the effects of retirement on health are different by the retirement reason and the subjective health conditions.

해안선 및 해안지형은 지진활동 및 화산활동 등으로 인해 해양의 지형은 때때로 변화한다. 때문에 해양 선박 경로에는 많은 지형 변화와 기상 조건 등에 의해 큰 위험이 존재한다. 선박들은 이런 위험을 방지 또는 대책마련을 위하여 많은 장비를 탑재하여 항해의 안전을 도모한다. 대형 선박의 경우 AIS 장비 등의 도움으로 항해사의 중요한 업무를 보조하고, 주변 상황 인지를 통해 위험요소를 최대한 억제하게 된다. 하지만 대형 선박은 AIS 등과 같은 대형 장비의 탑재가 가능한 반면, 해양 근해만을 항해하게 되는 소형 선박의 경우 고가의 장비를 탑재하기 위한 비용, 공간의 제약의 부담이 있다. 이 때문에, 모바일 시스템 이용하여 항해지도 및 다양한 정보를 제공받게 된다면 비용과 공간의 제약을 크게 줄일 수 있게 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 모바일 시스템 이용하여 해양선박의 항해정보를 서비스할 수 있도록 지도 서비스 및 기상정보 등의 다양한 정보를 제공할 수 있는 기초를 마련하였다.

최근 AI 기술은 컴퓨터, 애플리케이션 등의 시스템만이 아닌 미술, 음악, 소설 등 창작의 영역에서도 많은 확장을 시도하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 EEG(Electroencephalogram, 뇌전도)를 이용하여 신체에 제약이 있는 사람들도 작곡을 할 수 있게 해주는 게임 개발에 대해 기술한다. 이를 위하여 파이썬(Python)을 이용하여 작곡 게임을 구현하였으며, EEG를 이용하여 상, 하, 좌, 우 4가지 움직임을 저장하고 학습하였다. 본 게임을 통해 신체에 제약이 있는 사람들도 창작 활동을 할 수 있으며 뇌신경운동에도 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

최근 AI를 산업 서비스에 적용하기 위해 많은 회사들이 활발히 연구를 하고 있다. 아마존과 넷플릭스 같은 거대 기업들은 이미 빅데이터와 AI 머신러닝을 이용한 추천 시스템을 구현하였고 아마존은 매출의 35%가 추천에 의해 발생하고 넷플릭스 75%의 사용자가 추천을 통해 영화를 선택한다고 보고되었다. 이러한 두 기업의 높은 추천 효율성의 이유는 협업 필터링(Collaborative filtering)과 같은 다양한 추천 알고리즘과 방대한 상품 및 고객 행동(구매, 시청 등) 데이터 등이 존재하고 있기 때문이다. 기계학습에서 알고리즘 학습을 위한 데이터의 양이 많지 않을 경우 알고리즘의 성능을 보장할 수 없다는 것이 일반적인 의견이다. 방대한 데이터를 가진 기업에서 추천 알고리즘을 적극적으로 활용 및 연구하고 있는 것도 이러한 이유 때문이다. 반면, 오프라인 및 여행사 기반에서 온라인 기반으로 영역을 차츰 확대하고 있는 항공 서비스 고객 데이터의 경우, 산업의 특성상 많은 회원에 비해 고객 1명당 온라인에서 활동하는 이력이 많지 않은 것이 특징이다. 이는, 추천 알고리즘을 통한 서비스 제공에서 큰 제약사항으로 작용한다. 본 연구에서는, 이러한 희박한 고객 활동 데이터에서 최신성 기반의 추천 시스템을 통하여 제약사항을 극복하고 추천 효율을 높이는 방법을 제안한다. 고객의 최근 접속 이력 로그를 시간 기준으로 데이터 셋을 분할하여 추천 알고리즘에 반영하였을 때, 추천된 노선에 대한 고객의 반응을 추천 성능 지표인 CTR(Click-Through Rate)로 측정하여 성능을 확인해 보았다.

Drawing on the organizational learning theory, we argue that international patenting allows firms to assess the potential value of their innovation in host countries and find out latent local competitors. The information obtained from international patenting enables firms to make refined innovations that facilitate export performance. However, structural inertia and old knowledge can impede learning from international patenting. Thus, we expect larger firms and older firms to display greater reluctance to use the knowledge obtained from international patenting. Our empirical analysis of Korean pharmaceutical companies from 1998 to 2010 shows that international patent application increases export intensity but firm size and age weaken the positive effect of international patenting on export performance.

최근 사이버 공간(Cyber Space)을 통해 교육 수요자의 다양한 교육적 욕구를 만족시킬 수 있는 사이버 교육에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 이 논문은 수년간의 학습 경영 활동에 대한 경험을 바탕으로 사이버 공간을 통해 효율적인 학습 경영을 할 수 있는 학습 홈페이지를 제작하여, 학습 경영 활동을 개선시키는 기법에 대해 기술한다. 이 논문에서는 효과적인 홈페이지 작성을 위해 학생-학부모-교사의 요구사항을 선물을 통해 분석하였고, 이를 바탕으로 학습 담임의 기능과 임무를 파악하여 중학교 3학년 1개 학급을 대상으로 학급 경영활동을 한 후, 그 결과물을 홈페이지에 구현하여 학습 경영 활동을 개선하였다. 이렇게 구성된 홈페이지를 통해 교사들은 학습 경영 활동의 개선에 필요한 사이버 공간 활용 방향과 흐름을 파악할 수 있게 되고, 학생은 컴퓨터를 매개로 한 의사소통을 통해 사이버 공간에서의 다양한 교육적 접근에 친숙하게 되며, 학부모는 시간적.공간적 제약 없이 자유롭게 학습의 행사나 학생에 관한 자료를 열람할 수 있게 된다.

본 논문은 현대에 신체활동(Physical activity)를 하지 않으면 심혈관계질환, 당뇨, 암, 골다공증 등과 같은 질환의 위험성을 가지고 있음에도 불구하고 공간부족, 시간부족, 날씨 등으로 제약을 받아 신체활동이 부족한 척수장애인의 들을 위한 스마트 휠체어 트레드밀을 개발함이다. 기존의 휠체어 트레드밀은 휠체어를 생활할 때 사용하는 대상자들에게 신체활동을 제공하였다. 스마트 휠체어 트레드밀은 경사(Slope-Incline, Decline)를 조절하여 개별마다 다른 건강체력능력에 운동강도(Exercise intensity)를 다르게 할 수 있다. 또한 스마트 휠체어 트레드밀은 거리측정, 속도측정이 가능한 센서를 부착하여 대상자의 운동량을 알 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 체중측정도 가능하여 대상자의 운동량에 대한 칼로리소모량을 얻을 수 있다. 이러한 스마트 휠체어 트레드밀과 VR(Virtual reality) 프로그램, 게임을 접목시켜 척수장애인들의 신체활동에 흥미를 증진 시킬 수 있다.

We examine the relationship between the trading activities of Korea Stock Price Index (KOSPI) 200 futures contract and its underlying stock market volatility for about six years from May 1996 when the futures contract was introduced. The trading activities of the futures contracts are proxied by the volume and open interest, which are divided into expected and unexpected portions by using the previous data. The daily, intradilay, and overnight cash volatility is estimated by the GJR-GARCH model. We find a positive contemporaneous relationship between the intradaily stock market volatility and the unexpected futures volume while the relationship between the volatility and expected futures volume is weakly negative or non-existent. We also find that the unexpected futures volume strongly causes intradaily cash volatility. On the other hand, the overnight cash volatility causes the unexpected futures volume. The impulse responses between these variables are all positive. The result implies that during a trading time futures trading tends to increase the cash volatility while the unexpected overnight changes in cash volatility tends to increase the futures trading activities. We, however, find no association between the cash volatility and futures maturities.
