In this paper, an Inter-Digital Transducer (IDT) type Lamb wave sensor is proposed to estimate the geometry and number of cracks on a plate structure, and its validity is checked through experiments. This IDT type sensor is more readily controllable than conventional patch type piezoelectric sensors to modify its operation frequency and directionality by altering its finger patterns. In this work, omni-directional annular IDT and highly directional rectangular IDT sensors are designed and fabricated. The IDT sensors are used to diagnose the length, number and orientation of cracks on an aluminum plate by measuring the amplitude and time of flight of Lamb waves. The results are analyzed to discuss the efficacy of the IDT sensors.

This study examined the static characteristics of a spool valve with a hybrid lap between the spool land and the sleeve. The static equation for the pressure characteristics was derived from flow equations that depend on the spool displacement, and the final model was derived from $q_a=q_b=0$ because the pressure characteristics test needs to block the control port in the valve. The static equation for the flow characteristics was derived from the pressure characteristics when the control port is open ($q_a=q_b$, $p_a=p_b$). The characteristic equation in the shifted region was assumed from the proportional relationship between the pressure-flow characteristics and the spool displacement.

Action games exhibit all the specific constellation of masochism, such as disavowal, suspense, waiting, fetishism, and fantasy. These characteristics of action games can be analyzed with respect to masochism. This study conducted an analysis excluding sadism as much as possible, as sadism is a result of etiological misconception as opposed to masochism. However, comparative analysis is included in the study so that action games are not seen as demonstrating sadism. Games create a space for virtual interaction for main agents by connecting gamer-existence and game-character in the framework of a contract. The interaction of visual tactility within this space creates a system of difference in pleasure. Masochism enables one to attain pleasure in a world created himself or herself using fetishism in contractual relationships such as the ones exhibited in games. This shows that action games and masochism are mutually related. This paper analyzed the ontology of action games using actual examples of action games. The paper concluded that action games lead to the fulfillment of masochistic pleasure.

This paper has the first aim to analyze Elsa's magic power of why and how she, as a heroine in the animation of Frozen, is in the emotion of fear and anger. This paper will explain why these two emotions are twisted compound to identify Elsa's iced emotion in the ice kingdom. And secondly, this paper attempts to connect Elsa's fear emotion in her real life is the other flip with that of anger throughout the characters' network in Frozen, which symbolically reflect the feminine pattern of real society that Walt Disney prospects for the dream society. Through the cognitive process for Elsa's ice kingdom between emotion status and social network, we can assume the pattern of social network with emotional chart and the archetype of human emotion through the cognitive-emotional storytelling on the emotion of Elsa in Frozen.

Maximalism in modern fashion, which is contrary to the current fashion market that emphasizes functionality and practicality, is an important notion that has been expressed in a variety of ways through designer's unique sense with a mixture of experimental design. With such creative work that suits a trend in novel fashion design, Rei Kawakubo is a current representative of Comme des Garcons who has not only introduced deconstructivism and Japanese-style avant-garde to the fashion industry for the first time. Our research, thus, analyzed the characteristic of maximalism's expression based on the features represented in her collection. Firstly, Expandability is classified as a method of distorting parts of a body and a method of excessively overinflating the silhouette of clothing. Secondly, decorations are expressed in the other as blending different types of materials together. Thirdly, fantasy evokes a fresh and stimulating surreal sensation that may only be felt in an imagination by assigning supernatural and amusing expression to the garment. The forth, fusion refers to a creation of novelty from combining various types of elements and images. The fifth, experiment is unique trait that develops mysterious images, consisted of various details. The sixth, non-structure is different from an initial form of garment that maintains a bilateral symmetry. The importance of our research lies in proposing a fundamental data for development of creative design as well as in expanding a range of possible expression for maximalism, by analyzing the characteristics of maximalism seen in Rei Kawakubo's collection.

This study established key factors causing deck slab deterioration based on GPR database of 747 highway bridges, and predicted deck slab damage rates with respect to bridge service life. To minimize the influence of bridge service life on deck slab deterioration, the deck slab damage rate database was corrected based on a linear regression model of bridge service life vs. deck slab damage rate. The corrected deck slab damage rates were analyzed to determine correlation considering the number of snowy days, the amount of snowfalls, the number of freeze-thaw days, average winter temperature, altitude, the amount of deicing chemicals and equivalent traffic volume, and then both the number of freeze-thaw days and the amount of deicing chemicals were determined to be key factors causing deck slab deterioration. The complex deterioration considering both key factors was represented deck slab damage rate charts, and the average deck slab life was derived. The results of this study will be used as a guideline for highway bridge maintenance to identify the progress of deck slab deterioration for a given bridge and predict the time required deck slab rehabilitation.

One of the principal components of the KSTAR (Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research) tokamak structure is the vacuum vessel, which acts as the high vacuum boundary for the plasma and also provides the structural support for internal components. Hyundai Heavy Industries Inc. has performed the engineering design of the vacuum vessel. Here the overall configuration of the KSTAR vacuum vessel was briefly described and then the design methodology and the analysis results were presented. The vacuum vessel consists of double walls, several ports, leaf spring style supports. Double walls are separated by reinforcing ribs and filled with baking/shielding water. The overall external dimensions of the main body are 3.39 m high, 1.11 m inner radius, 2.99 m outer radius, and made of SA240-316LN. The vacuum vessel was designed to be capable of achieving the base pressure of $1\times10^{-8}$ Torr, and also to be structurally capable of sustaining the vacuum pressure, the electromagnetic and thermal loads during plasma disruption and bakeout, respectively. The vacuum vessel will be baked out maximum $150^{\circ}C$ by hot pressurized water through the channels formed between double walls and the reinforcing ribs. A 3-D temperature distribution and the resulting thermal loads in the vessel were calculated during bakeout. It was found that the vacuum vessel and its supports were structurally rigid based on the thermal stress analysis. The maximum electromagnetic loads on the vacuum vessel induced by eddy and halo currents resulting from the engineering plasma radial and vertical disruption scenarios have been estimated. The stress analyses have been performed based on these electromagnetic loads and the resulting stresses at he critical locations of the vacuum vessel were within the allowable stresses.

In this paper, I am going to analyze a correlation of Jacques Lacan's Mirror Stage and the process of remediation on image media. It is because the remediation process of various digital media is letting people pass through one time of mirror stage again. Remediation for the Internet of traditional media, conflict with the virtual world and real world, identification that a virtual image changes a practical image is for it to be caused a remediation process by mutual link of various image media. The Narcissism which occurs in the relation a self with a idealized self searches a new own expression and forms a skillful mania culture. Reflexivity of active mania culture same as a Jacques Lacan's Mirror Stage is to be the possibility becoming the feature of media culture of today. However, if digital media culture generation spends extremely wasting time from the image media, these image media generations cannot grow into new future-type man. According to this, it is necessory to have a study on Visual Literacy that it is related to a Jacques Lacan's Mirror Stage.

To find esterase inhibitors and in the metabolites of Streptomyces strain DMC-498, two active compounds were isolated from the methanol extract of the mycelia of the strain by Silica gel column chromatography and preparatory argentation TLC. These compounds were proved to show competitive inhibition. Compound B was found to consist of linoleic and oleic acids. Fifty percent inhibition concentration ($lC_{50}$) of linoleic acid was $0.045\mu\textrm{g}/ml$, whereas oleic acid exhibited no inhibitory activity. Associated lipids: isostearic acid, isostearic acid methyl ester, oleic acid methyl ester and linoleic acid methyl ester, were isolated from the same extract, showing no inhibition of the esterase. Compound A was found to be a liquid inhibitor with an alicyclic ring and two or more oxygens, its molecular weight being more than 500.

With the development of the game industry, 'games about games,' which examine the identity of game itself through a form of the game, emerged with a variety of shapes. Thus, this paper aims to suggest a definition, characteristics, and meaning of 'meta game.' Firstly, meta games strengthen the artificiality of the games and suggest procedurality through a form of the game play. Meta games also utilize the external context as a part of the games, and use the metaphor of 'labyrinth' to identify a feature of the game space. Furthermore, they emphasize intertextuality and prove that the fantasy and the reality can merge within the game world. In conclusion, meta games prove themselves to be independent expressional arts and experimental content, and suggest the potential for an alternative medium beyond formality.
