A Study on a Graphical Method for Determining the Characteristics of Jet-fan Ventilation System using the Contour Map of Required Ventilation Rate in Local Highways (지역별 소요환기량 특성도를 활용한 제트팬 환기방식 가능 터널제원 결정연구)

  • Recent worldwide trends show that tunnel length is getting longer, and the demand for longitudinal ventilation system with jet-fans in highway tunnels has also increased mainly due to the economic reasons. Improvements in vehicle engine subsequently reduced required ventilation rate(Qreq) which is the decisive factor in choosing the optimal ventilation system. Qreq contour map is a graph that defines the relationship among tunnel length, grade and required ventilation rate. It is important to understand the variation of Qreq in order to evaluate the characteristics of ventilation system with jet fans. Therefore this study aims at studying a graphical method for determining the characteristics of jet-fm ventilation system using Qreq contour map. Also, this study focuses on traffic composition on local highways.

  • Since ventilation in livestock buildings is critical for indoor air quality, the first step in designing environmental control is to determine required ventilation rate. The purpose of the study was to suggest a conceptually new ventilation graph for determining minimum/maximum ventilation rate based on the conservation law of the thermal energy and mass in livestock buildings. PC-based programs coded with PASCAL language, [RVALUE] for overall thermal resistance of composite structural walls/ceilings, [POLYNOM] for coefficients values of animal's sensible heat equation were involved in developing a computer program, [VENTGRPH] for the determination of ventilation rate. It would be useful for design, for such a program would permit the designer to explore various design options and immediately, see the result in terms of its effect on minimum ventilation rates.

  • 서울지하철역사내의 미세먼지농도는 환기에 의한 외부대기오염의 영향이 크다는 그간의 주장과 연구조사내용과는 달리 금번 이와 관련한 일련의 조사연구에서 그의 대부분이 내부 source에 의하여 결정되는 것을 확인하였다. 그의 중요한 source로서는 운행회수 1일 4226회에 의한 레일과 바뀌, 팬토그래프와 급전시설의 마찰, 1일 이용인원 5,481,000명에 의한 바닥과 신발의 마찰에 의한 마모와 발진현상과 사람들간의 접촉에 의한 섬유상 먼지의 비산, 그리고 역사내부의 서어비스업체등에서 음식조리시 부적적한 환기시설로 인한 것 등이 주요한 요인으로 생각되나 열차의 빈번한 출입으로 인하여 발생하는 열차풍에 의한 번지발생은 source의 큰 부분을 차지한 것이라는 전제하에 본 조사를 실시하게 되었으며 그의 영향정도를 파악하였다.   • This paper aimed to analyse dose sensitivity to the controllable parameters of indoor radon $(^{222}Rn)$ and its decay products (Rn-D) by applying the input~output linear system theory. Physical behaviors of $^{222}Rn\;&\;Rn-D$ were analyzed in terms of $(^{222}Rn)$ gas -generation, -migation and -infiltration to indoor environments, and the performance output-function, i. e. mean dose equivalent to Tracho-Bronchial (TB) lung region, was assessed to the following extented ranges of the controllable paramenters; a) the ventilation rate $constant({\lambda}_v)\;:\;0{\sim}50[h^{-l}].\;b)$ the attachment rate $constant({\lambda}_a)\;:\;0{\sim}500[h^{-l}].\;c)$ the unattached-deposition rate constant (${\lambda}^u_d)\;:\;0-50[h-l]$. A linear input-output model was reconstructed from the original models in literatures, as follows, which was modified into the matrices consisting of 111 nodal equations; a) indoor $^{222}Rn\;&\;Rn-D$ Behaviour; Jacobi-Porstendoerfer-Bruno model.

Observation of Changes in Indoor Formaldehyde(HCHO) Concentration during Ultrasound Guided Biopsy (초음파 조직생검 시 실내의 포름알데히드(HCHO) 농도 변화 관찰)

  • This study was conducted by simulating the same environmental conditions as the actual biopsy to observe the change in formaldehyde(HCHO) concentration in the indoor air during ultrasound guided biopsy. Changes in HCHO concentration in the room were measured by successively performing five steps: sealing the ultrasound room, ventilation, opening formalin containers, sealing formalin containers, and re-ventilating. Trends of measured HCHO concentration changes were visualized using graphs. As a result of analyzing the consistency of the concentration change values measured three times using the intra-class correlation coefficient, it was found to be 0.989, which was statistically significant(p<0.05). Based on the results of this study, we hope that medical workers working in the HCHO exposure environment of the field of radiology part will improve their awareness of the necessity of exposure management at work, and actively discuss the establishment of an environment for exposure control and preparation of countermeasures.

Semantic Access Path Generation in Web Information Management (웹 정보의 관리에 있어서 의미적 접근경로의 형성에 관한 연구)

  • The structuring of Web information supports a strong user side viewpoint that a user wants his/her own needs on snooping a specific Web site. Not only the depth first algorithm or the breadth-first algorithm, but also the Web information is abstracted to a hierarchical structure. A prototype system is suggested in order to visualize and to represent a semantic significance. As a motivating example, the Web test site is suggested and analyzed with respect to several keywords. As a future research, the Web site model should be extended to the whole WWW and an accurate assessment function needs to be devised by which several suggested models should be evaluated.
