  • First of all, What was the modeling technique used to model 3D-Game character? It's a technique developed along several years, by experience... here is the bases Low polygons characters I always work in low polygon for two reasons -You can easily modify a low-poly character, change shapes, make morph for facial expressions etc -You can easily animate a low-poly character When the modeling is finished, Second, In these days, Computer hardware technologies have been bring about that expansion of various 3D digital motion pictured information and development. 3D digital techniques can be used to be diversity in Animation, Virtual-Reality, Movie, Advertisement, Game and so on. Besides, as computing power has been better and higher, the development of 3D Animations and Character are required gradually. In order to satisfy the requirement, Research about how to make 3D Game modeling that represents Character's emotions, sensibilities, is beginning to set its appearance. 3D characters in 3D Games are the core for the communications of emotion and the informations through their facial expression and characteristic motions, Sounds to Users. All concerning about 3D motion and facial expression are getting higher with extension of frequency in use. Therefore, in this study we suggest the effective method of modeling for 3D character and which are based on 2D Graphics.

  • I intended to establish Augmented Reality(AR) Museum of 3D Cyber Space where artists and graphic designers can freely create in user integrated environment. This study is aimed at building a sufficient and integrated production environment for artists and graphic designers who utilize three-dimensional simulation methods in integrated development environment(IDE). This study intends to build a 3D simulation engine and a creation module of augment reality of 3D cyber space in Android platform to help artists and graphic designers to freely perform their creation in IDE. Based on these designs, I produced exhibition rooms of National Museum of Contemporary Art in 3D virtual space in which artists and graphic designers can put the graphics they have created on display, conducted a user survey and conducted tasking to an Android smartphone.

  • The active use of motion graphic in the production of digital movies contents is a significant way to deliver the contents' messages clearly and intensely. The analysis of film expression characters of digital movies contents based on the motion effect provides a good tool to present an effective method for the production of films using motion graphic. Motion graphic, which can animate motionless movies and graphic images dynamically, is now used as an excellent tool in the editing of digital movies. So, this study aims to show systematically the expression characters of digital movies contents by using the production of films of motion graphic. It also aims to suggest an efficient production of films by analyzing major contents produced with motion graphic and after that examining their types and skills according to the genres and times.

  • The development of personal computers and the Internet led to changes of instructor-student and student-student relationships in design education. New resources of design education with proper materials and tools have to be offered for teaching and learning. The purpose of this research is to develop Basic Graphic Tools(BGTs) on screen that help students to practice the design principles, and to evaluate the BGTs' usability to enhance the credibility of extra tools for online design learning. The BGTs has to be developed to minimize the gap between the online and traditional classroom settings and to maximize the diverse advantage of lecture content driven from technology. Students were given certain design requirements to explore BGTs and a learning guide/performance test after the lecture to evaluate the tools. The test was performed under the e-learning program serviced by C college. This research has presented some encouraging results and raises questions toward future work: how do BGTs impact the feasibility of an online design lecture.

  • We see that the Interactive Entertainment Industry on the internet has a great potential to grow in the 21st century. There will be many kinds of internet content. Internet contents can be classified with six categories such as identity, entertainment, learning, shopping, community. However, we see that shopping and community have a higher market share among the six. Recently, community has become more important in making an internet business sucessful, because it is valuable in creating virtual society in cyber space. A chatting program has been an effective means to form community. So we developed the animation graphic chatting program that functions to express an emotion effectively compared to the text chatting.

  • Graphic User Interface has been playing a great role in giving people easy access of computer. The research of implementing graphic image on the computer display and inventing mouse were the threshold of GUI's birth in 1960s, and those were succeeded to developing the first GUI based-computer at the Xerox research center in 1970s. An education theory for the children and the visual metaphor of real life environment were adapted to implement GUI. They were continuously studied and tested in the beginning of creating the GUI concept and design method. In 1980s, the GUI concept and design method were generally applied to all personal computer development. Apple and Microsoft have led the commercialization of their GUI based-05, and also got their own positions in the market as GUI standards in 1990s. The first research for the GUI based-computer implementation in Xerox has established very clear concept and design methods. This GUI standards are evolving Into more convenient and natural ways in various computing environment and developing technologies these days.

  • 그리드 환경을 이용한 분산된 자원의 활용은 현재 많은 분야에서 활용되고 있으며 그 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 그러나 자신의 분야에 관련된 PSE나 그리드용 어플리케이션이 개발되지 않으면 유저의 입장에서는 그리드 환경을 접하는 것이 어려워진다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 분야의 사용자들이 워크플로우를 직접 디자인하여 그리드의 분산된 환경을 통한 병렬처리가 가능하도록 그래픽 인터페이스를 제공하는 워크플로우 에디터의 구현에 관한 전반적인 내용을 기술하였다. 에디터의 구체적인 기능들을 살펴보며 유저에게 제공되어야 하는 기능들이 무엇인지 고찰해 본다.

  • In an era where AI artificial intelligence converges into each field, design of AI-CARE function and UI UX design are in the spotlight. The application of shape design and the trend of color are important for visual effects to match new features. In this paper, we would like to use this to present an example of the arrangement and application of form trends and to present design directions. In the introduction, the latest design environmental factors were analyzed and studied in the direction of the new proposal. In the text, the design direction and consideration of the design in the planning were studied by separating the functional design form, and the direction of the design work was presented. At the stage of form and color, a plan was proposed to match the flow of minimalism, universal design, and affordance design. A study method based on case practice is a consideration of how to consider content on shapes and colors specialized in the partial design work, and proposed to enable graphic production of new areas of UI UX in content images to be feasible. Through this study, the design direction and planning of the derivative method of shape and color was reached by suggesting design directionality and validity for each AI CARE bed PART.

A Study on the Characteristics and Utility of Oriental Calligraphy Technique (동양적 캘리그라피 기법의 특성과 활용에 관한 연구)

  • Nowadays calligraphy technique is widely utilized in diverse areas throughout the world. It is adopted in the visual environment of modern people comprehending from graphic design areas such as advertisement, package, symbol marks, logotypes, and movie posters to modern abstract paintings. It is because its dynamic and suggestive power of expression as symbolic and kinetic representation has been appreciated anew. In response to modern people's aversion from the mechanical and artificial digital environment as well as from the uniform, official, and modernistic trend, calligraphy technique is attracting people's attention as a new expressive style with oriental mysticism and emotional intimacy. Therefore, this study aims at illuminating the history of calligraphy, understanding its characteristics, searching for the expanded value of modern paintings and graphic designs, and ultimately contributing to the propagation of visual languages and expressive styles. In addition, this study attempted to establish the concept of Calli-Illust, which combines oriental painting techniques and materials and calligraphy techniques, and to explore for its potential uses in order to expand the area of illustration. According to the results of this study, calligraphy technique is a painting style of abstract expressionism, contributing to the expansion of the territory of a new formative area. Furthermore, this study proved that it is necessary to develop new expressive styles to overcome the limitation of design styles based on western rational, logical, and geometric functionalism, which have been received uncritically in the design environment of diversity. What is more, the concept and definition of calli-illust, which has been understood as a part of the concept of calligraphy so far, were clarified Research on calli-illust is just in its beginning stage. The present researcher expects that deeper and more extensive studies will be carried out in the future, so that calli-illust can be applied to communication design in various ways.
