파노라믹 이미지를 이용한 환경감시 및 탐사에 관한 지속적인 연구는 실시간으로 이미지를 얻고 탐사를 수행하는 연구형태로 발전하고 있다. 본 논문에서는, 한대의 카메라와 하나의 볼록 거울의 조합을 이용하여 실시간으로 얻어지는 전(全)방향 이미지로부터 바닥정보를 추출하여 지역정보(Local Map)를 얻고, 그 정보에 기반 하여 로봇의 이동을 제어하고 전역정보(Global Map)를 구성하는 새로운 방법을 제안한다.

본 논문에서는 이동단말에 최적화된 서비스를 제공하기 위한 이동단말의 정보 이용방법과 무선선로상의 제약 및 무선 단말기의 제한된 자원으로 좀더 효율적인 무선 인터넷 서비스를 제공하기 위한 WBMP(Wireless BitMaP) 변환기의 설계 및 구현에 대하여 기술한다. 이동단말의 정보는 CC/PP(Composite Capabilities/Preferences Profiles) 또는 WSP(Wireless Session Protocol) 헤더로부터 알아낼 수 있으며 이 정보를 이용하여 WBMP 변환기는 기존의 이미지를 이동단말에 가장 적절한 WBMP 이미지로 변환한다. 그러나 컬러 이미지를 변환하는 경우 이동단말이 가지는 제약에 의해 이미지 정보가 손실되거나 왜곡될 수 있으며, 현재 무선환경에서 지원되는 0/1 형식의 WBMP 이미지로는 각 단말의 자원을 최대한 활용할 수 없다. 따라서 향후 그레이-레벨 또는 컬러 이미지로의 변환 기능이 추가 구현되어야 한다.

스마트폰 응용 프로그램의 메모리 관리는 응용 프로그램의 속도와 안정성 측면에서 중요하게 다루어진다. 응용 프로그램에서 다루는 요소 중 이미지는 메모리 사용량의 많은 부분을 차지하며, 메모리의 여유 공간 내에서 이미지가 사용될 수 있도록 관리되어야 한다. 그러나 이미지의 해상도가 커지거나 다루게 되는 이미지의 개수가 늘어날 수록 이미지 객체의 관리의 어려움도 늘어나게 된다. 이미지 객체가 메모리 공간이 부족한 시점에서 메모리에 적재될 경우 응용 프로그램은 성능이 저하되거나 강제 종료될 수 있어 응용 프로그램의 사용성과 안정성이 낮아지게 된다. 본 논문에서는 안드로이드의 응용 프로그램에서 사용되는 이미지가 메모리의 많은 공간을 차지할 때, 안정적인 응용 프로그램 구동 환경을 제공해주는 동적 메모리 관리 기법을 적용하여 OOM(Out of Memory) 오류가 발생하는 문제를 해결하고자 한다.

본 논문은 최소한의 정보량을 가지고 높은 안전성을 제공하는 타원곡선과 스마트 카드의 PIN을 동시에 이용하는 이미지 분배에 대한 프로토콜을 제안한다. 타원 곡선 공개키 암호 알고리즘의 이용은 이미지 분배과정에서 필요한 계산 속도를 빠르게 함으로써 실제로 분배 시스템을 구현하였을 때 보다 효율적이고 편리한 이용환경을 제공할 수 있고 알고리즘과 스마트 카드의 고유 PIN을 이용하기 때문에 가지는 높은 안전성은 사용자들에게 이미지 분배하는 과정에서의 지불시스템에 대한 신뢰성을 가지게 할 수 있다. 이와 같이 타원곡선 공개키 암호 알고리즘과 스마트 카드를 이용해 설계된 이미지 분배과정에서의 지불시스템은 이동 컴퓨팅 환경에서도 효과적으로 사용될 수 있을 것이다.

성장하는 빅 데이터 시장과 빅 데이터 수의 기하급수적인 증가는 기존 컴퓨팅 환경에서 데이터 처리의 어려움을 야기한다. 특히 이미지 데이터 처리 속도는 데이터양이 많을수록 현저하게 느려진다. 이에 본 논문에서는 Apache Spark와 OpenCV를 활용한 분산 클러스터 컴퓨팅 환경의 대용량 이미지 머신러닝 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 Apache Spark를 통해 분산 클러스터를 구성하며, OpenCV의 이미지 처리 알고리즘과 Spark MLlib의 머신러닝 알고리즘을 활용하여 작업을 수행한다. 제안하는 시스템을 통해 본 논문은 대용량 이미지 데이터 처리 및 머신러닝 작업 속도 향상 방법을 제시한다.

The usefulness of media representations for assessing normative standards depends in part on how accurately media reflect "on-the-ground" resource conditions. This study compared encounter standards based on still and moving pictures to assess movement effects. The study location was the Jungmoeri area of Mudeungsan Provincial Park (MPP) in Korea. A total of 50 college students participated in a laboratory experiment where they evaluated still and moving pictures constructed using Photoshop and Flash computer programs. For the maximum acceptable number (MAN), however, there was no significant difference of ratings between still and moving pictures, and the overall encounter norm curves were nearly identical. There were some "method findings" for ordering effects and percent of people moving, but for a resource manager developing standards there was no advantage to the more complex logistics of using moving pictures to assess this particular impact. The trade-offs of using more sophisticated media are discussed, and more research is needed to further explore factors such as movement of sound in evaluation of other resource conditions.

기존의 이미지 분리 및 합성 과정은 전문 프로그램의 도움을 받아 이미지로부터 사물이나 환경을 분리하거나 합성하여 이루어져 왔으며 생산되는 이미지의 양에서 일반 사용자가 생성하는 이미지의 비중이 높음에도 상대적으로 적은 수의 인원만이 기존 이미지를 분리하고 합성할 수 있었다. 본 논문에서는 다량의 기존 이미지 내 요소를 손쉽게 분리, 합성하여 새로운 컨텐츠를 제작할 수 있도록 하는 메타데이터 구조와 이를 활용하여 이미지 합성에 대한 사용자 편의성을 높이는 플랫폼을 제안한다. 이는 object segmentation 을 기반으로 이미지의 각 요소를 분리하고 계층화 하여 이루어지며 이미지 합성에 대한 접근성을 높이고 분리된 이미지의 속성을 메타데이터로 함께 표기하여 다량의 기존 이미지에서 필요로 하는 이미지 요소를 빠르게 찾을 수 있도록 한다. 또한 분리된 이미지 요소의 속성을 구체화하기 위해 사용할 수 있는 방법들에 대해 논의한다. 결과적으로 위 제안은 기존 이미지 요소를 분리, 합성하기 위해 필요한 장벽을 낮추는 역할을 수행하여 더 많은 사용자들이 이미지 합성에 참여할 수 있게 할 것으로 기대된다.

A navigation system for virtual environments using low-quality HMD(head mounted display)must quantize images when the system presents true-color image with restricted number of colors. Such navigation system quantizes an image by using fixed palette. If the system represents an image by using a variable palette which is made considering a region around the viewpoint then user can perceive a virtual environments more vividly because human visual system is sensitive to the colors variation in the region around the viewpoint. In this paper we propose a color quantization algorithm that quantize a region around the viewpoint more finely than other regions at each variation of viewpoint for virtual environments navigation system and compose virtual environments navigation system using proposed algorithm. The system quantizes an image at each variation of viewpoint and shows a quantized image to user through HMD. We tested user preferences for our proposed system and the results show that users preferred our system.

This study intended to examine the nature of image which uses the network as the medium in the context of 'post-internet art' and categorize and analyze the cases of applications within art images. In the post-internet art which embraces the background of Web 2.0 and extended digital and network environment, image is transformed and re-mediated into various formats beyond fixed forms. Hito Steyerl defined the image, copied, downloaded, and reedited digitally in low quality as 'poor image.' Young artists, the digital native generation, capture and re-contextualize the changed network environment and depict it in various images. In this context, the application of image in post-internet art can be categorized and analyzed into the 'Image Collected as Material' produced by collecting and recomposing images found in social media, operating system, and website, 'Image Processed through Work' which is newly processed and re-contextualized by using editing programs, and 'Combined Digital-Reality Image' which represents the section of the digital society as the film and image that combine virtuality and reality.

The purpose of this study is to understand the character of concerned local area through using roadside space that is space for daily experience of citizen as target, extracting symbolic image reconsidering the historical and cultural character and clarifying the local identity on the basis of it. Through applying image of local symbolism and future-oriented roadside to street furniture, I tried to express local symbolism and through composing symbolic roadside of local that can be newly recognized as unique street, I tried to give a local symbolism and compose active roadside environment. Through providing basic material and actual design example, this paper tried to activate characterized local culture. As the method to approach design of symbolic roadside, the researcher divided local symbolic image into present local image and future-oriented image through selecting the roadside that historical element is lost and urbanization is achieved as target. The researcher characterized local roadside, using street furniture as symbolic tool of future-oriented roadside on the basis of symbolic image extracted from image evaluation testing. This paper has the meaning to suggest one direction for extracting symbolism when organizing distinguished roadside through applying symbolic image to roadside environmental facility, helping for of local resident's sense of place, his self-esteem and love for his hometown and public authority's establishing and promoting the policy concerned to the context of this paper.
