본 논문에서는 XML을 이용하여 문제은행 시스템(Item pool System)을 설계하였다. XML은 단순하면서도 구조적인 내용을 표현하는데 용이하며, 확장성이 뛰어난 마크업 언어이다. 문제 은행은 문항의 형태, 내용, 난이도, 등을 포함한 군항의 특성과 관련된 정보들을 체계적으로 제시해야하므로 데이터베이스에 저장된 내용들을 체계적으로 표현할 수 있어야한다. 따라서, 본 논문은 내용과 관련된 태그를 직접 만들 수 있고, 여러 개의 XML 문서들을 하나의 큰 문서로 병합할 수 있으며, 어떠한 종류의 응용프로그램과도 통합할 수 있는 범용적 데이터베이스라고도 할 수 있는 XML의 특성을 이용하여 좀더 확장성이 좋아지게 하였다.

The problems of developing web based adaptive hypermedia for education using XML are discussed in this paper. We define two different markup languages using XML. The one structures the domain model and the another describes the user model. These language can be easily extended and authored, with the result of obtaining a simple methodology for data structuring in the field of web based educational adaptive hypermedia. Also, We have suggested three learning rules that automatically restructures hypertext networks according to their user browsing behavior. The user profile is contained in a user model, while the knowledge about the domain can be represented in the form of a concept based domain model. Accordingly.

In this paper, I discuss the problems of developing web based adaptive hypermedia for education using extensible Markup Language(XML). Adaptive hypermedia systems are capable of altering the Presentation of the contents of the hypermedia on the basis of a dynamic understanding of the individual student. The student profile is contained in a student model, while the knowledge about the domain can be represented in the form of a concept based domain model. Accordingly, I define two different markup languages using XML. The one structures the domain model and the another describes the student model. These language can be easily extended and authored, with the result of obtaining a simple methodology for data structuring in the field of web based educational adaptive hypermedia.

초등 음악에서 전통 국악이 차지하는 비중이 점차 커지고 있다. 하지만 정간보라는 대표적인 국악보가 있지만 제재곡의 대부분을 서양 악보인 오선보로 표기하고 있다. 제7차교육과정에서 단소 연주를 위한 한글 율명의 가로 정간보를 도입하였지만 오션보로 표기된 제재곡과는 별개로 등장하여 연관성이 부족하다. XML은 고정되지 않은 마크업 언어이며 확장성이 높고 재사용하기가 쉬운 보편적인 포맷으로 차세대 인터넷 표준 언어라고 불린다. 이에 본 논문에서는 단순히 그래픽 형식의 오선보와 정간보를 동시에 제시하는 것이 아니라 초등 국악보의 공통된 정보를 찾아내어 연관성을 제시하고 XML을 이용하여 표준화된 초등 국악보 정보를 제공하고 플래시 스크립트를 활용하여 웹으로 표현하는 시스템을 설계하고자 한다. 이런 표준화된 정보로 국악교육에서 오선보와 정간보가 일관성 있게 사용이 될 것을 기대하며 나아가 동일한 표준정보를 활용하여 세로 한자 정간보의 표현 등으로 확장될 것을 기대한다.

MusicXML, ScoreML과 같은 포맷은 음악을 XML로 표현한 것으로 음정, 박자, 조성, 리듬, 화음 등 모든 정보를 표현하기 위해 고안되었다. 즉, XML이 가지고 있는 간단성, 확장성, 재사용성의 장점을 가지며 분석, 검색, 표기법에 훨씬 큰 장점을 가진 마크업 언어들이다. 기존의 음악 검색에 대한 연구들이 음악파일에 대한 것에 행해졌던 것에 비해 본 논문은 음악을 덱스트로 표현한 XML에서 효과적인 선율 검색을 위해 계이름을 사용한 검색시스템을 제안한다.

차세대 시뮬레이션 기술 구조인 HLA (High Level Architecture) 기반 구조하에서 시뮬레이션이나 모형을 구축시 지금까지는 시뮬레이션 시나리오를 묘사하기 위해 시나리오 파일과 같은 text 형식을 사용하였다. 이에 따라 HLA 시뮬레이션은 확장성, 재사용성, 다목적성, 특히 인터넷과의 부합성이 부족하였다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 제한성을 개선하고자 기존의 시뮬레이션 모형에 UML 을 따르는 마크업 언어(Markup Language)인 XML 을 사용하였다. 그 결과 다양한 조건의 시나리오를 작성하여 결과를 평가할 수 있었으며, 특히 아주 상세한 시나리오까지 쉽게 작성해 볼 수 있으므로 모형을 효율적으로 운용해 볼 수 있었다.

PEAT(Procedure/airspace Efficiency Assessment Tool) evaluates the efficiency of the flight procedures designed by Procedure and Airspace Design Program, such as fuel consumption fight time, flyability, noise footprint and etc. For noise footprint analysis among the efficiency metrics, the input generation module for INM(Integrated Noise Model) was designed in this research. The INM input files shall contain the information about aircraft types, noise model, airport and runway configuration, number of flights, flight routes, and also should be satisfied with the exact file formats for input data, since INM is not originally executable with file inputs. Therefore, it has been designed to convert the input data given in XML file to DBF. In this paper, the design result of the module which has functionalities to generate appropriate input file for INM, and to convert and save the analysis results from INM, is presented.

HTML is unstructured document because of using restricted tag. HTML is difficult to extract data from HTML document. But XML is able to use user definition tag, that is easy to store information. Also XML is easy to extract data from XML document. This is the reason why XML is a standard for data exchange format on the Internet, so XML is fitted to exchange data between heterogeneous DBMSs(DataBase Management System). In this paper, we designed and implemented of XML web agent for data replication between heterogeneous DBMSs. A XML web agent system controls data of DBMS, and generates a XML document from data of DBMS. Also XML web agent is data exchange or replication between heterogeneous DBMS by the medium of XML.

기존의 제안서 접수 및 평가 방식은 수작업이 대부분을 차지하여 많은 인력과 시간이 소요되며 정확성도 완전히 보장할 수 없는 단점을 가지고 있다. 이러한 비효율적인 방식을 개선하기 위해서 접수 및 평가과정을 웹상에서 자동화하여, 문서 작성자, 접수자, 평가자 및 관리자들이 좀 더 편리하게 관련 작업을 처리할 수 있게 하였다. 자동화를 도입하기 위한 방법으로 HWP 문서의 구조 정보를 표현할 수 있는 마크업(markup) 언어인 HWPML(HWP Markup Language : 이하 HML)을 사용하였으며, HML 문서를 파싱(parsing)하여 필요한 정보만을 추출하여 XML(eXtensible Markup Language) 문서를 생성하였다. 이렇게 생성된 XML 문서는 논리적인 구조 정보를 가지고 있고 플랫폼 및 소프트웨어 중립적이기 때문에 효과적인 검색, 관리 및 공유가 가능한 시스템 환경을 제공한다. 이 기법으로 표준 언어로 부각되고 있는 XML 형태의 문서 관리를 기존의 워드 프로세서 형태의 문서 관리에 확장 적용할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 자동화 시스템의 구조와 문서 변환 기법을 제안하였다.
