  • 최근 소셜 네트워크 서비스로 대표되는 정보유통 매체의 급격한 발전으로 인해 데이터 빅뱅(Data Big Bang)이라 할 수 있는 데이터의 폭발적인 증가 현상에 따라 빅데이터에 대한 관심이 급격히 증대되고 있다. 빅데이터 관련 기술들은 기본적으로 대용량 데이터를 하나의 노드로 관리하는 것이 아닌 여러 노드를 연결하기 때문에 효율적인 데이터 관리를 위해서 노드 간 연결을 담당하는 라우팅 알고리즘의 중요성 역시 대두되고 있다. 본 논문에서 대용량 데이터를 위한 효율적 라우팅 알고리즘을 위해 새로운 라우팅 메시지 재전송 기법을 위한 혼잡 확률 연산 알고리즘을 제안한다.

Bio-Inspired Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (이동 애드혹 네트워크를 위한 생체모방 라우팅 프로토콜)

  • Bio-inspired routing protocol uses a principle of swarm intelligence, which finds the optimal path to the destination in a distributed and autonomous way in dynamic environments, so that it can maximize routing performances, reduce control overhead, and recover a path failure quickly according to the change of network topology. In this paper, we propose a bio-inspired routing protocol for mobile ad hoc networks. The proposed scheme uses a function of overhearing via wireless media in order to obtain the routing information without additional overhead. Through overhearing, the pheromone is diffused around the shortest path between the source and destination. Based on this diffused pheromone, a probabilistic path exploration is executed and the useful alternative routes between the source and destination are collected. Therefore, the proposed routing protocol can ensure the up-to-date routing information while reducing the control overhead. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme outperforms the typical AODV and AntHocNet protocols in terms of routing performances and significantly decreases the routing overhead against the AntHocNet.

  • Call packing has been recognized as a routing scheme that significantly reduces the blocking probability of connection requests in a circuit-switched Clos multistage interconnection network. In this paper, for the first time, a general analytical model for the point-to-point blocking probability of the call-packing scheme applied to Clos networks is developed. By introducing a new parameter called the degree of call packing, the model can correctly estimate the blocking probability of both call-packing and random routing schemes. The model is verified by computer simulation for various size networks and traffic conditions.

  • Routing protocols in Delay/Disruption Tolerant Networks(DTN) are important to enhance the performance of transmission delay and delivery success ratio. In this paper, we propose an efficient DTN routing algorithm, called "Nobility Pattern based Routing(MPR)", that controls the total number of transferred message copies based on mobility patterns of mobile nodes. We consider a realistic "Levy walk" mobility pattern that has a super-diffusive property which well represents human mobility pattern. We implemented a DTN simulator using ONE simulator for the proposed MPR algorithm and Levy walk mobility pattern. Simulation results show that mobility patterns are very important for accurate evaluation of DTN routing performance, and the proposed MPR enhances the routing performance of delivery delay and success delivery ratio under realistic mobility pattern.

Hierarchical Inter-Domain based QoS Routing in a Wide Area of Network (대규모 네트워크를 위한 계층적 도메인간 QoS 라우팅)

  • In this paper, we propose hierarchical inter-domain load balanced QoS routing in a large scale of network. And a scheme of calculating resources' costs for precomputation schemes in hierarchical routing is proposed. and a scheme for selecting a path among multiple precomputed paths is proposed. We also propose a QoS routing scheme for transit and intra traffic in a large scale of domain-based network. For a domain in the network, the routing scheme first precomputes K multiple paths between all pairs of ingress and egress border routers while considering balancing of the expected load then selects paths with the probability of path selection. The routing scheme combines inter and intra domain routings seamlessly and uses the same cost calculation scheme.

  • The network nodes in a tactical network moves continuously and due to the physical and electronic obstacles, the connections are not always available. Due to the frequent disconnections, it is hard to discover the path among the nodes in a DTN. According to PROPHET(Probabilistic Routing Protocol using History of Encounters and Transitivity), one of the most well-known DTN routing protocols, a DTN node determines whom to forward a packet according to the packet delivery probability. From the viewpoint of a node, the packet delivery probability of another node is degraded while the nodes are disconnected whereas it is improved when they encounter. In this paper, we enhance the algorithm estimating the packet probability by considering the encounter count as an additional parameter. Our algorithm prefers the node that encounters the destination more frequently in selecting the next hop toward the destination. We evaluated the performance of our algorithm by simulating military operations using a DTN-dedicated simulator. Through the simulations, we show that our proposed algorithm achieve higher packet delivery ratio with similar overhead compared with PROPHET.

Routing Algorithm of VANET for an Efficient Path Management in Urban Intersections (도심 교차로에서 효율적 경로 관리를 위한 자동차 통신용 라우팅 알고리즘)

  • This paper proposes a vehicle ad-hoc network (VANET) routing algorithm to reduce the probability of routing path discontinuity in urban intersections. In urban intersections, the vehicles may frequently change their moving directions. It can cause the disconnection of routing path and the increase of a packet transmission delay. In order to resolve this problem, the proposed routing algorithm exploits the information of moving directions in urban intersections. In this way, the proposed algorithm can reduce the probability of the local maximum which causes the increase of the number of routing hops and packet transmission delay. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can reduce the local maximum probability by 10% and increase the successful packet transmission ratio by 5% compared to the conventional VANET routing algorithms.

  • In this paper, we propose an algorithm that analyzes characteristic nodes to select efficient relay nodes using message distribution. Existing delay-tolerant network (DTN) routing algorithms have problems with large latency and overhead on account of the deficiency of network information in an unsteady network. We must solve this problem, predict future networks using node state information, and apply a weight factor that changes according to the message distribution. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm provides enhanced performance compared to existing DTN routing algorithms.

On Unicast Routing Algorithm Based on Estimated Path for Delay Constrained Least Cost (경로 추정 기반의 지연시간을 고려한 저비용 유니캐스트 라우팅 알고리즘)

  • The development of efficient Quality of Service (QoS) routing algorithms in high speed networks is very difficult since divergent services require various quality conditions, If the QoS parameter we concern is to measure the delay on that link, then the routing algorithm obtains the Least Delay (LD) path, Meanwhile, if the parameter is to measure of the link cast, then it calculates the Least Cost (LC) path. The Delay Constrained Least Cast (DCLC) path problem of the mixed issues on LD and LC has been shown to be NP-hard. The path cost of LD path is relatively mere expensive than that of LC path, and the path delay of LC path is relatively higher than that of LD path in DCLC problem. In this paper. we propose the algorithm based on estimated path for the DCLC problem and investigate its performance, It employs a new parameter which is probabilistic combination of cost and delay, We have performed empirical evaluation that compares our proposed algorithm with the DCUR in various network situations.
