Probabilistic Exposure Assessment of Pesticide Residues in Agricultural Products in Gyeonggi-do (경기도내 유통 농산물 중 잔류농약의 확률론적 노출평가 연구)

  • A probabilistic exposure assessment was performed on the monitoring data of pesticides were assessed in agricultural products in Gyeonggi-do from 2006 to 2010. Chlorothalonil, chlorpyrifos, dicofol, endosulfan, EPN, ethoprophos, fenitrothion, methidathion, phenthoate and tebupirimfos were assessed. For this assessment, we used Monte Carlo simulation software and the distribution of concentration and intake were assumed to lognormal distribution by inputting mean and standard deviation. The hazard index (HI, %ADI) of average value and the $95^{th}$ percentile based on a probabilistic method were usually lower than those by a deterministic one. For the whole population, when non-detects data were assigned 0 mg/kg, HI of the average value and the $95^{th}$ percentile showed 0.05~0.70% and 0.11~1.94%, respectively. When nondetects data were assigned 0.005 mg/kg, HI of the average value and the $95^{th}$ percentile were 0.41~4.42% and 0.98~13.81%. For only consumers, when non-detects data were assigned 0 mg/kg, HI of the average value and the $95^{th}$ percentile were 1.24~10.16% and 3.72~33.81%, respectively. When non-detects data were assigned 0.005 mg/kg, HI of the average value and the $95^{th}$ percentile were 3.43~18.26% and 9.45~54.99%, respectively. Methidathion had highest values when both of 0 and 0.005 were assigned to non-detecs data for consumers only. This study showed that agricultural products in Gyeonggi-do were safe because they had less than 100 of HI (%ADI) based on probabilistic exposure assessment.

  • To evaluate the reliability against fatigue failure of offshore structures, a fatigue reliability analysis model based on the probabilistic approach has been developed. In this model, the simplified method is adopted as a fatigue analysis method. The uncertainties included in the fatigue analysis are considered as random variables and their statistical properties are evaluated as quantitatively as possible using existing data. As an example, the developed fatigue reliability model is applied to the jacket. And then the relative significance of each uncertainty on the probability of fatigue failure is surveyed.

해석적 방법에 의한 고장 수목 순환 논리의 분석 : 실제 PSA에의 적용 예

  • 1단계 확률론적 안전성 평가 (Level 1 Probabilistic Safety Assessment, PSA)를 수행할 때 나타나는 보조계통 고장 수목간의 순환 논리는 사고 경위 정량화를 위하여 해결되어야만 한다. 기존의 PSA에서는 이를 위하여 별도의 고장 수목을 다시 작성하였으나, 이 방법을 사용하기 위하여서는 보조계통 간의 관계를 검토하여야 하며, 이에 따른 별도의 고장 수목을 작성하여야 하는 등 추가적인 작업이 요구된다. 또한 기존 방법은 일부 최소 단절군이 생성되지 않는 약점을 갖고 있다. 이에 따라 한국원자력연구소에서는 해석적으로 순환 논리를 푸는 방법을 개발하였으며, 이를 PSA용 코드인 KIRAP 코드에 구축하였다. 이에 따라 기존 방법의 약점을 극복하고 고장 수목간의 순환 논리를 자동으로 풀 수 있게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 개발된 해석적 방법을 설명하며, 또한 이 방법을 실제 PSA에 적용하며 나타난 여러 현상에 대하여 살펴본다.

  • 원자력 발전소의 확률론적 안전성 평가(PSA)를 수행하기 위해서는 여러가지 분야의 다양한 데이터가 필요하다. 그러므로 PSA의 수행 및 검토에 있어, 효과적인 자료의 관리가 필수적이라 할 수 있다. 한국원자력연구소에서는 PSA 관련 모든 정보를 손쉽게 관리하기 위하여, PSA 정보 데이터베이스 시스템(AIMS)을 개발하고 있다. PSA 정보 데이터베이스 시스템은 PSA 의 수행에 필요한 모든 정보를 손쉽게 취득 가공할 수 있도록 PSA분석 및 수행에 필요한 정보 및 관련 링크들의 정보를 데이터베이스에 저장하여 놓고, 필요시 참조할 수 있도록 개발한 시스템이다. 본 논문에서는 PSA 정보 데이터베이스의 개발 과정 및 데이터베이스 설계 그리고 입출력 시스템의 설계 및 구현에 관하여 기술하였다.

  • 한국형 표준 원진(울진 원전 3,4호기)화해 사건에 대한 2 단계 확률론적 안전성평가 (Level 2PSA) 에서 격납건물 파손모드에 큰 영향을 준다고 판단되는 현상들에 대한 불확실성 분석을 수행하였다. 불확실성 분석 대상은 주로 민감도분석 및 기존 2단계 PSA수행결과 중요한 인자로 선정된 8가지 주요 현상들로 국한하였다. 수행 방법은 성층화 추출방식 (Latin Hypercube Sampling)으로부터 발생된 1000개의 표본을 사용하였고, 분석결과는 두가지 불확실성 측도로 제시하였으며, 사용된 코드는 2 단계 PSA 분석용 전산코드인 CONPAS 이다. 불확실성 관리측면에서. 제일 불확실성이 높은 격납건물 파손모드인 원자로 공동바닥관통의 불확실성 인자를 줄이기 위해서는 CR-EJECT 현상에 대한 불확실성 을 줄여야 할 것이다.

가압 경수로의 저출력/정지 확률론적 안전성 평가를 위한 인간신뢰도분석 절차서 개발

  • 인간신뢰도분석 절차인 SHARP(Systematic Human Action Reliability Procedure)와 인간행위 정량화 방법인 THERP(Technique for Human Error Rate Prediction)를 토대로 하고 원자력발전소의 저출력/정지 운전의 특징적인 상황을 반영하여 가압 경수로의 저출력/정지운전의 PSA를 위한 인간신뢰도분석 절차서를 개발하였다. 개발된 인간신뢰도분석 절차서의 주요사항은 다음과 같다; 1) 원자력발전소의 이상사태에 대응하는 운전원 행위는 두 개의 기본사건인 진단실패와 수행실패 사건으로 모델링 한다. 2) 절차서에 없는 행위이라도 일부 운전원이 그 행위에 대한 절차와 조건을 알고 있으면 그 행위에 대해 성공가능성을 고려한다. 3) 인간신뢰도분석시 본 연구에서 개발된 표(work sheet)의 사용으로 인간행위 정량화 과정에 대한 타당성 및 신뢰성을 제고시키고 정량화과정을 쉽게 추적할 수 있다. 4) 인간신뢰도분석자의 판단이 필요한 부분에 결정수목을 사용하기 때문에 인간신뢰도 분석 시 개입될 수 있는 분석자의 주관성을 일정부분 배제할 수 있고 일관된 인간신뢰도분석을 수행 할 수 있다.

  • The seismic safety of the prestressed concrete containment building was evaluated by the seismic fragility analysis based on the nonlinear dynamic time-history analyses. Four kinds of earthquake ground motions were used for the seismic fragility analysis of the containment building to consider the potential earthquake hazard. The conventional seismic fragility analysis of the safety related structures in nuclear pouter plant have been performed by using the linear elastic analysis results for the seismic design. In this study, the displacement based seismic fragility analysis method was proposed.

A Study on the Effect of Containment Filtered Venting System to Off-site under Severe Accident (중대사고시 격납건물여과배기계통(CFVS)적용으로 인한 사고영향과 결과 고찰)

  • The containment filtered venting system reduces the range of the contamination area around the nuclear power plant by strengthening the integrity of the containment building. In this study, the probabilistic assessment code MACCS2 was used to assess the effect of the CFVS to off-site. The accident source term was selected from a Probabilistic Safety Analysis report of SHINKORI 1&2 Nuclear Power Plant. The three source term categories from 19 STC were chosen to evaluate the effective dose and thyroid dose of residents around the power plant and the dose with CFVS and without CFVS were compared. The dose was calculated according to the distance from the nuclear power plant, so the damage scale based on the distance that exceeds the IAEA criteria for effective dose (100 mSv per 7 days) and thyroid dose (50 mSv per 7 days) were compared. The effective dose reduction rates of the STC-3, STC-4, STC-6 were about 95-99% in the whole range (0~35 km), 96-98% for the thyroid dose. There are similar results between effective dose and thyroid dose. After applying the CFVS, the damage scale that exceeds the effective dose criteria was about 1 km (mean). Especially, the STC-4 damage scale was decreased from 26 km (mean) to 1.2 km (mean) significantly. The damage scale that exceed the thyroid dose criteria was decreased to 2~3 km (mean). The STC-4 damage scale was also decreased significantly as compared to STC-3, STC-6 in terms of effective dose.

  • Since nuclear power plants (NPPs) increasingly employ digital I&C systems, reliability evaluation for NPP software has become crucial for NPP probabilistic risk assessment. Several methods for estimating software reliability have been proposed, but there is no available tool support for those methods. To support NPP software manufacturers, we propose a reliability measurement tool for NPP software. We designed our tool to provide reliability estimation depending on available qualitative and quantitative information that users can offer. We applied the proposed tool to an industrial reactor protection system to evaluate the functionality of this tool. This tool can considerably facilitate the reliability assessment of NPP software.

  • Many electric power cables span the sea in Korean archipelago. Lots of shipping routes were established between the islands in the same area and ships frequently sail under the cable which cross the seas. Sometimes electric power cables were accidently broken by sailing ships and catastrophic damage of island industry followed thereby. If navigators have detailed knowledge about the height of electric power cable, the ship's sailing condition will be greatly improved. But at the present time, navigators have limited data about the electric power cable. Those are the horizontal distance between pylons, the height of pylons and minimum height of electric power cable. This study introduced the calculating methodology to find out the height of cable at any position between pylons. The ship's tracks were recorded and traffic safety was assessed by statistical method in relation to cable height.
