To this end, first, the consumption tendency of millennials and online flower purchase trends were examined. In addition, focusing on flower bouquet products, the market status of flower delivery shopping malls, which are online flower product services, and regular flower subscription services, a new trend in the flower market, were investigated. Based on this, a survey was conducted to improve online flower services. As a result of the survey, it was found that millennials trusted branded products, preferred eco-friendly products, and tended to have strong design openness in improving online flower service design. In addition, millennials prefer natural bouquet designs mixed with large and small flowers to large and colorful roses, which are currently mainly sold at flower delivery shopping malls. Therefore, we hope that this study will improve the design of online flower services that meet the needs of millennial consumers, revitalizing flower purchases, and expanding to new online flower service design research.

  • In this paper, the funeral was defined as a culture of death and, on the most important ideological basis, the biological death was not recognized as the end of the world, but as a starting point for another life. Various funeral cultures were investigated and the funeral floral design was analyzed through the case. Based on this, it was concluded that Korea's funeral floral design was an impediment to the development of funeral floral design, similar to the use of limited materials. Storytelling, a communicative concept through the exchange of emotions and opinions, rather than unilaterally conveying a message as an answer, is one of the most effective marketing strategies in the emotional consumption era. Based on this, the target person was selected to analyze life and draw suggestions from his life. Accordingly, the production of the work was attempted by applying storytelling to the funeral floral design. The painting design applied to storytelling expressed the symbol and meaning of the painting design material, and the color and form of the floral design in various forms and colors of pastel line, which are based on peach color that symbolizes the deceased, in a departure from the traditional funeral painting design with the solemn atmosphere of the geometric design centered on the white chrysanthemum material.

  • Under the recognition that the technological system of traditional flower design in Korea has been passed down from the past to the present, we extracted the type of design form from the flower decoration of the Joseon Dynasty, analyzed the expression technique, and examined the relationship with the modern traditional flower decoration in this study. As a result, most of the flower design works of the Joseon Dynasty mainly expressed one focal point at the central starting point. One central branch line was mainly used, and cut leaves were mainly used as the base material. Similar to the Joseon Dynasty, one central starting point and a base made of leaves are mainly used In modern flower design. In the frequency of use by expression technique, the stem exposure technique was used the most, and cut flowers and cut stems were used at a similar frequency in all techniques. As plant materials, cut flowers and cut stems were mainly used. In addition, non-plant materials such as feathers, fans, and brushes were also used for decoration. In conclusion, it can be seen that traditional flower decorations in Korea were systematically established in the Joseon Dynasty in terms of expression techniques and high-level flower design works were made. In the future, it will be necessary to study the history of our flower designs in more diverse ways and to develop modern flower designs while preserving historical traditions.
