  • In this paper, we analyzed the vehicle fire accidents due to damage of vehicle's electrical components, which is applied to a vehicle. In recent development of electrical components technology, approximately 40% of vehicle manufacturing parts have applied electronic circuit technology. Phenomenon such deterioration of insulating performance or electric breakdown on the vehicle's electrical components and printed circuit boards(PCBs) resulted from moisture, contamination and aging due to repetitive operations, lead to the vehicle fire. Therefore, the application of electrical components with adequate electric capacity for vehicle and usage of molding techniques using a non-combustible materials to shut off the oxygen should be applied in order to prevent vehicle fire due to damage of the electrical components and PCBs.

  • The development to the high quality of life society requirers not only economic development but also high level of capacity in disaster management which can address the disaster promptly and ready for man made disaster such as fires, traffic accidents, stopping the function of infrastructure in energy and telecommunication sectors. In this research a disaster management system which utilize cadastral data and cadastral sturcure has been p roposed a s a m ean o f enhancement of disaster management capacity. It is expected that to make use of all cadastral information in every disaster management steps, disaster risk information will be calculated and provided by parcel unite and the cadastral organization will participate to disaster management utilizing cadastral organization's nation wide structural network and skilled manpower by adopting parcel-based disaster management system.

  • A complete spectrum of risk assessment including qualitative and quantitative approaches were performed for the POSCO's Batch Annealing Furnace (BAF) gas systems. The purpose of BAF is to enhance the quality of steel by annealing it with either hydrogen/nitrogen mixture gas or pure hydrogen gas. Number of gas leak scenarios were identified to generate frequency of their occurrences. With the hypothetical accident scenarios given, fire/explosion impact studies were performed to estimate magnitude of significant consequences. Several different indices were also presented from which practical safety improvement action items could be established.

  • In this paper it was written about the safety management plan for underground power transmission cable, and it guarantees the reliable electric power supply and facility management to prevent an electric disasters according to that. Recently fires which happens on OF Cable lead to a breakdown of power system and cause a power outage of wide area and serious social problems. So it needs an improvement of inspection ability on OF cable as well as a strict inspection system to prevent that problems in advance and it will bring us the development of electric safety management and the reliable electric power supply.

  • Fire or electrical problem while DC electric traction vehicle operation caused by various reasons can lead to not only suspension of the operation, but also severe aftermath such as massive casualty. In this paper, fire analysis on DC electric traction vehicle caused by electrical breakdown on line breaker, which is in connection with the power supply, is presented. When the electric arc, the by-product of frequent line breaker operation, is not fully diminished, it leads to electrical breakdown and fire. Especially, electrical breakdown can be easily induced by the open-and-close operation of inner contractor inside line breaker, eventually followed by ground fault and generation of transient current. Electric arc is consequent on the ground fault and acts as possible ignition source, leading to fire. Also, during the repetitive operation of the line breaker, the contactor is separated each other and some copper powder is generated, and the copper powder provided breakdown path, resulting in fire.

  • In case of fire and explosion which resulted from LP gas release of LPG vessel retail store, the populated area such as apartment complex is supposed to be damaged either partially or totally. To estimate the damage of LP gas explosion, we conducted quantitative risk analysis procedure as has been recommended by AIChE/CCPS. For incident scenario selection, event tree analysis was proposed. TNT equivalent method, SAFER Trace v.8.0 and probit model were also used for consequence analysis. The various methods and analyses which were performed in this study are presented with the effect zones in the layout.

  • 크루즈 페리 선박의 인테리어 섬유 내장부품은 고도의 난연성과 내구성, 그리고 높은 수준의 감성과 심미적 기능을 만족하는 고기능성 소재로 구성된 섬유 복합체이다. 이는 화재, 전복 등 돌발 사고에 대하여 탑승자를 보호하고, 쾌적한 실내 분위기를 제공함으로서 안전운행을 유도하며, 높은 수준의 감성과 심미적 기능을 부여함으로서 품위와 가치를 증가시키는 기능이 있다. 난연기능이 부가된 난연사의 경우 복합가공 즉, 방오, 항균, 소취 기능을 추가 부여하게 되면 난연 기능이 급격히 저하되는 결정적인 단점이 있다. 이로 인해 가혹한 난연 성능이 요구되는 선박용 인테리어 섬유제품의 경우 그 규격을 만족하기란 쉽지 않기 때문에 원사제조에서부터 염색공정, 가공공정에 걸쳐 각 단위 공정별로 복합적으로 난연, 방오, 항균소취 기능들의 추가 보완이 필요한 실정이다. 또한 최근 사용자 입장에서는 용도에 따라 여러 가지 기능이 복합된 원단을 요구하는 사례가 많아지고 있는 실정이며, 많은 후가공 공정시 난연가공과 더불어 복합적으로 추가 가공시 난연성 저하 등의 문제가 있다. 본 연구에서는 선박용 인테리어 섬유제품의 Spec.을 만족시키기 위해 난연 직물의 염색 후가공에 적용되는 염조제 성능을 조사하고 고견뢰 및 균염을 만족하는 난연 내광 등의 복합기능성을 확보하기 위한 기초기술을 검토하였다.

  • 국내 지중송전선로는 주로 XLPE케이블과 OF케이블로 구성된다. 1971년 154kV급 OF 케이블이 최초로 한전에 의해 상용운전에 들어간 후 XLPE 케이블 지중선로가 1983년부터 병용운전 되고 있으며 OF케이블의 경우 절연유의 사용으로 인한 화재의 위험과 환경오염 문제 등으로 인하여 점진적으로 XLPE케이블로 대체되는 추세에 있다. 하지만 내전압 시험, 절연저항이나 누설전류 측정, $tan{\delta}$ 측정 등으로 진단이 가능했던 OF케이블과는 달리 XLPE케이블의 경우 종래의 시험을 통한 진단은 한계가 있고 부분방전을 통한 진단이 가장 효율적인 진단방법으로 제시되어 국내외 XLPE케이블의 진단을 위해 운영되고 있으며 보다 정확한 PD측정을 위한 연구가 계속 진행되고 있다. 지난 10년여간의 국내외 연구결과 XLPE케이블에 대한 PD 측정기술의 정확성은 상당히 향상되었고 그 결과물로서 수많은 폭정 장비와 기법이 개발되어 오늘날 널리 보급되고 있다. 하지만 여전히 측정된 Data에 대한 해석은 일부 전문가들에게 조차 복잡하고 어려운 일로 남아 있다. 자칫 그릇된 해석은 향후 큰 사고로 이어질 수 있으므로 선로 운영자의 입장에서는 측정결과의 신뢰성에 민감할 수밖에 없다.

  • This paper deal with due to the additional equipment established on the vehicle fire accident cases. Recently, vehicle was recognized as other living spaces and it was increasing installation of additional devices such as a black box, multivision, additional battery and so on. However, these additional devices were established on the vehicle by non-specialists such as the general public user or manufacturing and distributors of additional devices since the vehicle factory. Resulting from the additional equipments due to installation errors in these additional equipments connected to the electrical wiring insulation damage or electrical breakdown occurs, and finally leading to a fire caused by the additional equipments. Therefore, additional equipment established on the vehicle due to a fire in order to prevent accidents during the manufacturing process of these devices are installed. If not installed unless the manufacturing process, the installation of additional equipments established by professional who knows the vehicle structure that will be able to prevent the fire.
