Aerobic Bacteria Image Management System (호기성 세균 화상 관리 시스템)

  • In this study, we integrated 40 kinds of aerobic bacteria that has a higher appearance rate and data for experts and educations, and constructed the aerobic bacterial images database. Constructed system is useful to culture of bacteria for novice without expert's heuristics and deep knowledge and to decrease time and money for handling of patient's examination results. Moreover, it can add new bacterial information in database and contribute to raise a medical quality and it is useful to support a expert's technology in department of laboratory medicine.

  • This paper shows the maximum data flow utilizing the Weight Bipartite Graph Matching system. The Weight Bipartite Graph Matching system sets the data transmission as edges and guides the maximum data flow on the set server and the client. The proposed Weight Bipartite Graph Matching system implements the multi-user interface video conference system. By sending max data to the server and having the client receive the max data, the non-continuance of the motion image frame, the bottleneck phenomenon, and the broken images are prevented due to the excellent capacity. The experiment shows a two-times better excellency than that of the previous flow control.

  • Multimedia services(i.e. teleconferencing and Video on demand) have been developed on MBone. The video and audio data of them require Real-Time service using QoS(Quality of Service) guarantees. RSVP(Resource reSerVation Protocol) on the Internet has been suggested to support QoS guarantees. But currently, it has two problems : complexity and scalability. To solve these problems, this paper describes the design and implement of teleconferencing system with QoS guarantees by simplifying the resource reservation processing to solve the RSVP's complexity and scalability.

A Differential Evolution based Support Vector Clustering (차분진화 기반의 Support Vector Clustering)

  • Statistical learning theory by Vapnik consists of support vector machine(SVM), support vector regression(SVR), and support vector clustering(SVC) for classification, regression, and clustering respectively. In this algorithms, SVC is good clustering algorithm using support vectors based on Gaussian kernel function. But, similar to SVM and SVR, SVC needs to determine kernel parameters and regularization constant optimally. In general, the parameters have been determined by the arts of researchers and grid search which is demanded computing time heavily. In this paper, we propose a differential evolution based SVC(DESVC) which combines differential evolution into SVC for efficient selection of kernel parameters and regularization constant. To verify improved performance of our DESVC, we make experiments using the data sets from UCI machine learning repository and simulation.

도로 정보처리와 컴퓨터비죤에 관한 연구

  • 현재 필자가 소속하고 있는 연구실에서는, 컴퓨터 아니메이숀, 컴퓨터 그래픽, 화상처리, 인공지능에 관한 연구등을 하고 있다. 본고에서는 화상처리에 관한 연구중에서, 본 연구실에서 최근에 발표한 컴퓨터 비죤에 관계있는 각종의 도로 정보처리에 관한 연구에 대해서 소개한다. 우선, 화상처리의 수법을 이용한 자동조종의 연구로서, 고속도로에서의 선행차의 자동동정에 관한 연구와 하프변환을 이용한 차량번호판 추출에 관한 연구에 대해서 소개한다. 다음에 도로망 지도처리에 관한 연구로서, 차재형 자동항법 시스템의 개요에 관한 소개와 최단시간 경로에 관한 연구, 도로지도의 자동판독에 관한 연구에 대해서 소개한다. 가까운 미래에, 점점 자동차의 자동화가 추진되고, 인공위성을 이용해서 자동차의 현재 위치를 정확하게 파악할 수 있게 되면, 본고에서 소개하는 연구들이 보다 중요한 의미를 가지게 되리라 생각한다.

A Study on the Telelecturing/Conferencing System (원격화상강의/회의 시스템에 관한 연구)

  • Bell Laboratory introduced the sound and visual system for the first time in 1927. Since then, the development of telecommunication technology made it possible for people located far away to communicate each other watching through the TV screen. Over the period different types of telelecturing systems have prospered in line with the development of telecommunication technology. Therefore, it is quite natural that telelecturing/conferending system attracts the attention of many people as a new way of educating people located in a long distance. In the industrial sector, telelecturing systems already come into wide use to save time and training and travelling expense. In this study, I examine the concept and characteristics of telelecturing/conferencing system and introduce different types telelecturing system developed in parallel with the development of communication technology. Then, I analyze how those merits of the telelecturing system can be applied to educational purpose. Finally, I propose and design ideal telelectuirng/conference facilities consisting of telelecturing rooms, bilateral movie system, seats, ceilings, color, TV screen, lighting, acoustics, humidities and temperature control, security system, projection system to maximize the educational purpose and effectiveness.

A Measurement Algorithm for the Cornea Curvature in Automatic Refracto-Keratometer (자동 시각 굴절력 곡률계의 각막 곡률 측정 알고리즘)

  • 본 논문은 자동 시각 굴절력 곡률계의 전자 부문에 연동될 곡률 측정 알고리즘을 소개한다. 만약 자동화된 시스템이 광학계로부터 나오는 영상을 이용하여 내부 처리를 거친 후 정확 시각 측정치를 검사자에게 알려줄 수 있다면 잘못 측정되는 측정 횟수를 크게 줄일 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구는 형태학적 필터링(morphological filtering)과 그레이-레벨의 신호 강조(signal enhance) 기술들을 이용하여 자동시각 굴절력 곡률계에 연동될 각막 곡률 측정 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 알고리즘에서는 광학계로부터 도출된 링 모양 광원의 화상을 처리하기 위해서 새로운 방법을 사용하는 대신에 굴절력 측정을 위해서 6개의 점으로 구성된 화상을 처리하는 방식으로 변형 적용시킨다. 이 때 링의 띠를 6개의 덩어리점으로 변형하는 과정만을 제외하면 굴절력 화상을 처리하는 방식과 같게 된다. 이는 알고리즘의 간결화와 측정 시간을 줄이는 효과를 얻게 된다. 그리하여 본 각막 곡률 측정 알고리즘은 정한 측정 값 도출이 어려운 시각 영상에 적용되어 효과적으로 오차를 줄임으로써 보다 효율적인 시각 측정을 가능하게 하였다.

A development of remote measurement robot with vision system (원격 화상 계측 로봇 개발)

  • This paper describes a development of remote measurement robot with vision system. The developed robot consists of robot controller and host PC program. The robot and camera can move with 2 degree of freedom by independent remote controlling a user friendly designe joystick. A visual image and command data translated through 900MHz and 447MHz RF controller, respectively. To show the validity of the developed system, operations of the robot in the field area were illustrated.
