  • 최근 코로나 19의 확산으로 인하여 코로나 감염으로 인한 외부 방송 촬영에 제약이 생기면서, 제작환경은 실외에서 실내의 가상 환경 제작 수요가 크게 증가하고 있다. 이에 확장현실 제작 기술이 방송 제작에 적극 활용되고 있다. 확장현실은 외부의 제작 환경을 몰입형 LED월 시스템 기반으로 가상의 그래픽으로 내부 스튜디오 제작환경에서 제작 할 수 있어 방송에서는 확장현실 관련 시스템 및 그래픽 콘텐츠, 운영기술 개발이 요구되고 있다. 이에 본 논문은 확장현실 콘텐츠를 제작 할 수 있는 '몰입형 혼합현실 시스템'을 제안한다. 특히, 확장현실 환경에서 원격으로 AR과 VR 콘텐츠의 동기를 맞추어 운영할 수 있도록 개발된 '원격제어 타임라인 디렉터'를 통해 AR/VR 콘텐츠를 재생 및 입출력을 제어할 수 있다. 본 시스템을 통하여 그래픽 기반의 AR/VR 시험 그래픽 콘텐츠 및 실사 기반의 360 콘텐츠 기반 확장현실 시험 콘텐츠를 개발하였으며, 상용카메라 추적시스템과 연개하어 자연스러운 추적 및 합성 그리고 타임라인 디렉터의 사용자 인터페이스를 이용하여 확장현실 콘텐츠를 제작 및 운영 할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • This study was written to create educational content in non-destructive fields based on Mixed Reality. Currently, in the field of radiation, there is almost no content for educational Mixed Reality-based educational content. And in the field of non-destructive inspection, the working environment is poor, the number of employees is often 10 or less for each manufacturer, and the educational infrastructure is not built. There is no practical training, only practical training and safety education to convey information. To solve this, it was decided to develop non-destructive worker education content based on Mixed Reality. This content was developed based on Microsoft's HoloLens 2 HMD device. It is manufactured based on the resolution of 1280 ⁎ 720, and the resolution is different for each device, and the Side is created by aligning the Left, Right, Bottom, and TOP positions of Anchor, and the large image affects the size of Atlas. The large volume like the wallpaper and the upper part was made by replacing it with UITexture. For UI Widget Wizard, I made Label, Buttom, ScrollView, and Sprite. In this study, it is possible to provide workers with realistic educational content, enable self-directed education, and educate with 3D stereoscopic images based on reality to provide interesting and immersive education. Through the images provided in Mixed Reality, the learner can directly operate things through the interaction between the real world and the Virtual Reality, and the learner's learning efficiency can be improved. In addition, mixed reality education can play a major role in non-face-to-face learning content in the corona era, where time and place are not disturbed.

  • Recently, the introduction of the elementary and middle school software education essential courses in 2018, the emergence of educational solutions, and the need for digital content for software education rather than simple coding. In addition, in the case of current coding education, it is necessary to study how to induce interest in elementary, middle and high school students. In this study, we included the interactive (UX / UI) function using MR(Mixed Reality) and induced interest in coding education, and it was possible to cultivate logical thinking by applying storytelling coding rather than injection education. Suggested way. As a result of research, elementary, middle, and high school students easily proposed logical thinking education beyond the existing injection education method using mixed reality(MR) technology, and will break away from the injection coding education which is a problem of the school and school.

Adaptive Concurrency Control Approach on Shared Object Manipulation in Mixed Reality

  • In this paper, we propose an adaptive concurrency control scheme to reduce conflicts and working time in the cooperative work in mixed reality. To this ends, we first classified the goals, tasks and ownerships of the cooperative work. Then, the classified relationships are mapped according to their temporal and hierarchical relationships of shared object manipulation in the cooperative work. The proposed system provides adaptive concurrency controls of the shared object according to temporal orders of the sub-goals. With the proposed scheme, a participant is enable to move and rotate a shared object although another already has an ownership of the shared object in a specific order of the sub-goal. Thus, the proposed system provides adaptive and realistic cooperative working environment. We conducted a user study of the proposed scheme. The proposed system could reduce conflicts and working times comparing to conventional approaches.

  • 실제적인 객체를 컴퓨터로 재구성하여 실제 공간에서의 경험 대상을 가상 세계의 경험 대상으로 변환하여 실제 세계와의 혼합된 세계를 제공하는 증강현실 실제 세상과 정보 전달에 필요한 증강현실 객체를 혼합하여 제공한다. 이러한 가상객체가 존재하는 환경은 컴퓨터를 이용하여 실제 객체를 인식하여 표현할 뿐만 아니라 제공된 입력 자료에 상응하는 서비스를 제공하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 증강현실 시스템을 지원하기 위한 정보를 체계적으로 표현하고 전달체계에 이용되는 메타데이터를 구성하기 위한 구조적 모델을 제시한다.

Interface Application of a Virtual Assistant Agent in an Immersive Virtual Environment (몰입형 가상환경에서 가상 보조 에이전트의 인터페이스 응용)

  • In immersive virtual environments including mixed reality (MR) and virtual reality (VR), avatars or agents, which are virtual humans, are being studied and applied in various ways as factors that increase users' social presence. Recently, studies are being conducted to apply generative AI as an agent to improve user learning effects or suggest a collaborative environment in an immersive virtual environment. This study proposes a novel method for interface application of a virtual assistant agent (VAA) using OpenAI's ChatGPT in an immersive virtual environment including VR and MR. The proposed method consists of an information agent that responds to user queries and a control agent that controls virtual objects and environments according to user needs. We set up a development environment that integrates the Unity 3D engine, OpenAI, and packages and development tools for user participation in MR and VR. Additionally, we set up a workflow that leads from voice input to the creation of a question query to an answer query, or a control request query to a control script. Based on this, MR and VR experience environments were produced, and experiments to confirm the performance of VAA were divided into response time of information agent and accuracy of control agent. It was confirmed that the interface application of the proposed VAA can increase efficiency in simple and repetitive tasks along with user-friendly features. We present a novel direction for the interface application of an immersive virtual environment through the proposed VAA and clarify the discovered problems and limitations so far.

A Study on Supporting Design Decision Making in Office Building Remodeling Projects by Introducing Mixed Reality (혼합현실 도입 오피스 건물 리모델링 프로젝트 설계 의사결정 지원)

  • In the remodeling projects, clients without architectural expertise have limitations in presenting requirements accurately. In some cases, designers and contractors may not recognize their demands exactly, and deliver final products that are different from the clients' intentions. 3D modeling visualizing final products in previous has been regarded as a solution to enhance understanding and communication. However, this approach has the limitation that the final results are presented as a virtual outputs. In the remodeling project, an alternative, mixed-reality, is likely to reinforce the reality as it enables to present remain structure and the parts to be built together. This paper examines the mixed reality as a solution to support decision making of clients and practitioners in remodeling projects. The examinations is conducted in high-rise office remodeling projects by means of action-research. Clients and practitioners, overview product models presented in the format of 2D drawings, BIM and mixed reality asked to evaluate the effectiveness of each methods in 12 standards. The results have shown that mixed reality has improved the sense of reality, making it easier to predict results, but recognizing patterns is difficult in some areas such as the floor, and it caused dizziness.
