구리 폐촉매 재처리

  • 동제련 공정중 Smelting에서 SiO2가 없으면 산화에 의한 생성물은 Molten Cu-Fe-O 'Oxysulphide' 와 Solid Magnetite가 된다. 이 생성물은 Cu-rich Liquid와 Cu-dilute Liquid로 분리가 불가능하다. Smelting의 목적이 Cu가 높은 Matte와 산화된 불순물의 효과적인 분리에 있으므로 이와 같은 분리가 불가능한 혼합상태를 분리해 주어야 한다. 이때 SiO2가 첨가되면 Cu-rich 상인 Matte가 FeO-rich상인 Slag로의 분리가 가능해진다. 이러한 의미에서 동제련에 있어서 규사의 성분은 매우 중요하며 현재 재생사를 규사로 대체 사용하고 있다. 한편 실리콘 모노머 합성 공정인 금속 규소와 접촉 물질(Contact Mass, 구리촉매와 조촉매)을 반응시켜 (Si+CH3Cl ${\rightarrow}$ (CH3)2SiCl3) 실리콘 모노머를 생산하는 공정중 반응이 끝난 접촉물질인 구리 폐촉매가 발생되는데 주요성분이 Cu 12%, Si80%로 재생사와 유사하여 동제련에 투입 가능 여부를 판단하기 위하여 각 공정에서의 용융실험을 통하여 결론을 도출하였고, 실 조업 Test를 거쳐 처리하게 되므로 구리 회수 및 폐기물로써의 매립을 중지 할 수 있었다.

신항생물질 개발에 관한 연구

  • 새로운 항생물질을 개발하기 위하여 토양으로부터 분리한 균주를 액체배지에서 배양하여 그 배양액을 여러 검정균에 대하여 종이디스크법으로 항균효력을 측정하였다. 그 결과 G(+), G(-)균에 강한 항균효력을 보인 토양균 SNUS 9101-55와 C. aibicans와 같은 진균류에 항균력을 보인 토양균 SN-US 9101-68을 선택하여 각각의 배양액에서 항생물질을 분리하고, 분리한 항생물질의 구조를 규명하고자 하였다. 토양균 SNUS 9101-55의 배양액으로부터 항생물질을 분리하기 위하여 양이온 교환수지 관 크로마토그래피와 셀룰로오스 관 크로마토그래피를 수행하여 시료 AMJ-I-212-B를 얻었다. 시료 AMJ-I-212-B의 IR, $^1$H-NMR, FAB-MS 스펙트럼을 얻어 분리한 항생물질의 구조를 분석하고 Sakaguchi test와 같은 정색반응을 통하여 그 발색단을 동정하여 이 항생물질의 구조가 스트렙토마이신과 동일하다는 것을 확인하였다.

Isolation and Determination of Paeoniflorin and Albiflorin in Korean Peony(Paeonia lactiflora Pall) Root (한국산(韓國産) 작약근(芍藥根) 함유(含有) Paeoniflorin 과 Albiflorin의 분리(分離) 및 분석(分析))

  • From Korean cultivated peony root, paeoniflorin and albiflorin, which are generally considered to be principal components of peony root, were isolated by silicagel column chromatography. Their structures were identified by spectroscopic methods $(UV,\;FT-IR,\;^1H{\cdot}^{13}C-NMR)$ and their purities were 98% and 93%, respectively. The concentrations of paeoniflorin and albiflorin in ten Korean cultivated peony lines were determined by reverse phase HPLC. The concentrations of paeoniflorin ranged from 1. 56 to 4.04% and those of albiflorin ranged from 0.04 to 1. 98% in ten Korean cultivated lines. In the ten cultivated lines, the concentrations of albiflorin in Punggi lines were higher than other lines.

On-Line Topic Segmentation Using Convolutional Neural Networks (합성곱 신경망을 이용한 On-Line 주제 분리)

  • A topic segmentation module is to divide statements or conversations into certain topic units. Until now, topic segmentation has progressed in the direction of finding an optimized set of segments for a whole document, considering it all together. However, some applications need topic segmentation for a part of document which is not finished yet. In this paper, we propose a model to perform topic segmentation during the progress of the statement with a supervised learning model that uses a convolution neural network. In order to show the effectiveness of our model, we perform experiments of topic segmentation both on-line status and off-line status using C99 algorithm. We can see that our model achieves 17.8 and 11.95 of Pk score, respectively.

Chiral Separation of Ibuprofen by Supercritical Fluid Chromatography (초임계유체 크로마토그래피를 이용한 Ibuprofen의 키랄분리)

  • The separation method using chiral stationary phase in preparation of chiral compound was wildly used, but in this work, supercritical fluid chromatography was suggested in the stability to resolve the chiral mixtures. To determine the optimum operating condition of the racemic ibuprofen, the retention factor and resolution with change in pressures, temperatures and the contents of IPA % (vol.) in CO$_2$ were investigated. The retention factor was decreased with increase in pressure and decrease in temperature. The factor was also influenced by the content of IPA in mobile phase, while the resolution was worse with a increase in IPA %. From the experimental results, the desirable separation condition was 130 bar, 311.15 K and 4% IPA in CO$_2$. Compared to the asymmetric peak shape by liquid chromatography, that of supercritical fluid chromatography was symmetric which was a favorable condition for preparative separation.

  • The overall quality of underwater concrete will ultimately be affected by factors such as performance of antiwashout admixture and mix proportions of concrete. Of these, performance of antiwashout admixture may significantly influence quality of underwater concrete. Thus, objectives of this experimental research are to evaluate the performance such as slump flow, setting time, compressive strength, and water segregation of the concrete containing antiwashout admixture. It was observed from the test results that concrete containing antiwashout admixture was found to improve quality of concrete such as fluidity, compressive strength, and antiwashout compared to plain concrete.

Pervaporation of binary Water/Methanol and Water/Butanol Mixtures through Zeolite 4A Membranes: Experiments and Modeling (제올라이트 4A 분리막을 이용한 물/메탄올, 물/부탄올 혼합물의 투과증발 특성 연구: 실험 및 모형)

  • In this study, pervaporation performances of water/methanol and water/butanol mixture were evaluated using zeolite 4A membranes manufacutred by FINETECH by experimental works and numerical modeling. Permeation and separation characteristics, such as flux and separation factor, were analyzed by gas chromatography (TCD) and liquid nitrogen traps. Experiments have shown that water is selectively separated from a mixture of water and methanol (separation factor up to approximately 250) and water and butanol (separation factor up to approximately 1,500). Generalized Maxwell Stefan (GMS) theory was implemented to predict pervaporation behaviors of water/alcohol mixtures and diffusional coefficients of zeolite layer were obtained through parameter estimation using $MATLAB^{(R)}$ optimization toolbox. Since the pore size of zeolite 4A are much larger than kinetic diameter of water molecules and smaller than those of methanol and butanol, zeolite 4A membranes can be applied to in situ water removal process such as membrane reactors or hybrid reaction-dehydration process.

Pathotypes of Xanthomonas campestris pv. oryzae in Honam District, Korea (호남지역에 분포하는 벼흰빛잎마름병균의 균형)

  • The 719 isolates of Xanthomonas campestris pv. oryzae collected in Honam district during 1980-1984 were classified with new differential cultivars: 466($64-.8\%$) were pathotype K1, 116$(16.1\%)$ pathotype K2, 130$(18.1\%)$ pathotyps K3, and 7$(1.0\%)$ pathotype K4. No isolate for pathotype K5 was found. The isolates of pathotypes K1, K2 and K3 were distributed in the geographic regions, Haenam, Gwangyang, Gangjin, Wando, Igsan, and Buan. The isolates of all pathotypes were obtained from Milyang 23, Nagdong, and Dongjin which were susceptible to all the pathotypestested, while most of the isolates belonging to pathotype K3 and K4 were obtained from pungsan, Baegyang, Samgwang and Milyang 30.
