Definition of Performance Indices and Unplementation of Tester for SIP Servers in Next Generation Networks (차세대 방 SIP 서버 시험을 위한 성능 지표 및 시험기 구현)

  • This paper defines test methodologies and performance indices for SIP server system, and describes elements that can have influence on the test of SIP network equipments. Moreover, we implement a tester to evaluate the performance of SIP Servers such as Registrar and Proxy server. The performance indices for testing SIP servers are message processing rate, transaction delay, and call success probability. The parameters that can have an effect on the performance of SIP servers are user population, transport protocol, method of database access, method of DNS, call creation pattern, definition of transactions, and size of packets. We tested several SIP servers that act as Registrar, Proxy, and Redirect server using the implemented SIP tester, and, as a result, verified functions of the tester and performance indices and input parameters defined in this paper. Performance indices and methodologies presented in this paper can be used to evaluate SIP servers in NGN

Server Replication Degree Reducing Location Management Cost in Cellular Networks (셀룰라 네트워크에서 위치 정보 관리 비용을 최소화하는 서버의 중복도)

  • A default server strategy is a very popular scheme for managing location and state information of mobile hosts in cellular networks. But the communication cost increases if the call requests are frequent and the distant between the default server and the client is long. Still more any connection to a mobile host cannot be established when the default server of the destination mobile host fails. These problems can be solved by replicating default server and by letting nearest replicated default server process the query request which is sent from a client. It is important to allocate replicated default servers efficiently in networks and determine the number of replicated default servers. In this paper, we suggest and evaluate a default server replication strategy to reduce communication costs and to improve service availabilities. Furthermore we propose and evaluate an optimized allocation algorithm and an optimal replication degree for replicating: dofault servers in nn grid networks and binary tree networks.

  • In this paper, we have proposed and evaluated the performance of the routiong protocols servicing the mobile and fixed subscribers in a large e scale circuit switched telecommunication network, connected by gateways. The large scale network consists of several subnetworks, and a subnetwork is composed of M×N nodes in grid topology. When a call for mobile subscriber occurs, the current routing protocols search the whole large scale network to find a mobile subscriber. Therefore, it causes many redundant packets and long call setup delay. So, we have proposed a new routing protocol, in which the destination subscriber is first searched at the subnetwork where the call is proposed protocol is better than that of the current protocol.

Management of Base Stations having Cell Zooming Capability for Green Cellular Networks (그린 셀룰러 네트워크를 위한 Cell Zooming 가능을 가진 기지국들의 관리)

  • Cell zooming adjusts the cell range of base stations depending on traffic condition. The cell zooming can be implemented by the adjustment of antenna angles, the clustering of the base stations, and the cell relay. The base stations can adjust the cell range in term of energy efficiency, which can then reduce the overall energy consumption of cellular networks. There is, however, a trade-off between the energy savings and the blocking probability of user calls. A periodic scheme that manages the cell zooming of the base stations was proposed but it was inadequate for dealing with the dynamic nature of traffic patterns. This paper proposes a semi-periodic cell zooming scheme along with the algorithms that select such base stations and define the operation procedure. Simulation results show that the proposed method outperforms the existing scheme in terms of the energy savings without the degradation of the blocking probability.

  • 최근 물 사용에 대한 각 부문 간의 경쟁이 심화되고 있으며, 미래 기후변화에 대응하기 위해 체계적이고 효율적인 수자원 활용이 요구되고 있다. 농업용수는 우리나라 수자원의 40% 이상을 차지하고 있지만, 생활용수, 공업용수와 달리 경험에 기반한 관행적 관리가 이루어지고 있어 체계적인 관리가 필요하다. 농업용수의 체계적 관리와 분석을 위해 최신화된 수혜면적 파악 및 수혜구역 내 수로 네트워크 구축은 필수적 요소이다. 현재 활용하고 있는 농업용 저수지 수혜면적 및 수로 자료는 한국농어촌공사의 RIMS 자료를 기반으로 하고 있다. 하지만 기존 자료의 경우 준공 당시 설계기준으로 작성되거나 수년 전 갱신된 자료로 최신현황을 반영하지 못하고 있다. 이러한 문제점을 보완하기 위해 직접 측량을 통한 자료 취득 또는 농림축산식품부의 스마트팜맵과 같은 대체, 보완자료가 활용되고 있다. 직접 측량의 경우 최신화된 정확한 자료 취득이 가능하지만, 많은 시간이 소요되며, 스마트팜맵의 경우 취득 주기가 1~2년으로 주기에 따라 최신자료의 활용이 어려울 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 자료 산정 시간 단축 및 최신자료 취득을 위해 고해상도 영상을 활용하고자 하였으며, 여주시 삼합저수지를 대상으로 검증하였다. 영상자료로는 위성영상, 항공영상, 드론영상을 활용하였으며, 위성영상의 경우 구글어스 프로의 2020년 11월 고해상도 영상, 국토리지정보원의 2019~2020년 51cm급 항공 영상, 2020년 10월 촬영한 4cm급 드론영상을 사용하였다. 수혜면적 산정은 기존 RIMS 자료와 스마트팜맵을 통해 확인한 수혜면적에서 영상을 통해 확인한 토지이용 변경지역을 추출하여 재산정하였으며, 수로 네트워크의 경우 RIMS 자료를 기반으로 드론영상을 통해 확인된 수로 추가 및 DEM (Digital Elevation Model) 영상을 활용한 용수 흐름도 작성을 통해 구축하였다. 본 연구에서 재산정한 수혜면적과 수로 네트워크는 정확한 용수 수요량 및 공급량 산정, 관개 효율 분석 등과 같은 농업용수 분석 전반에 기초자료로 활용 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

  • Difficult problems In implementing digital neural network hardware are the extension of synapses and the programmability for relocating neurons. In this paper, the structure of a new hardware is proposed for solving these problems. Our structure based on traditional SIMD can be dynamically and easily reconfigured connections of network without synthesizing and mapping original design for each use. Using additional modular processing unit the numbers of neurons find synapses increase. To show the extensibility of our structure, various models of neural networks : multi-layer perceptrons and Kohonen network are formed and tested. The performance comparison with software simulation shows its superiority in the aspects of performance and flexibility.

  • 철도 신호제어시스템은 철도의 선로변에 위치하면서 열차의 안전운행을 책임지는 매우 중대한 시스템이다. 이러한 신호제어장치들은 각자의 고유의 기능을 수행하면서 다른 제어장치들과 링크되어 하나의 신호제어시스템으로 구성되어진다. 요즘 철도신호시스템에 사용되는 각 장치들이 전자화되어감에 따라 철도신호장치들간 정보전송을 위한 네트워크에 대한 중요성이 증대되었다. 철도신호시스템과 같은 고신뢰성이 요구되는 시스템에서 실시간 요구조건과 신뢰도를 만족시킬 수 있는 네트워크 기술에 대한 필요성 또한 증대되고 있다. 가장 널리 쓰이는 기술인 이더넷은 프로토콜 자체의 랜덤 특성으로 인해 실시간 요구사항을 만족하지 못하였으나 최근 들어 스위치드 이더넷으로 진화하면서 산업용 제어시스템에 이더넷 기술이 적용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 스위치드 이더넷의 이론적 해석을 통해 철도신호시스템에 적용 가능성을 확인하였고, 네트워크에 결함발생 시 결함검지 및 회복 알고리즘이 포함된 높은 신뢰성을 가진 이더넷 기반 네트워크 알고리즘과 모의시험을 통한 그 성능을 분석하였다.

  • In this paper, we analyze TCP congestion control algorithm over ATM-UBR network. TCP congestion control algorithm consists of slow start, congestion avoidance, fast recovery, fast retransmit. We analyze the ATM-UBR network service using the BSD 4.3 TCP Reno, Vanilla. However we found the fact that the characteristic of fast retransmit, recovery algorithm makes a serious degradation of Performance in multiple losses of packets. We propose new fast retransmit, recovery algorithm to improve the problem. The results of performance analysis improve the multiple losses of packets using a proposed fast retransmit, recovery algorithm.

  • Network coding is a new research area that may have interesting applications in practical networking systems. With network coding, intermediate nodes may send out packets that are linear combinations of previously received information. The exploration of numerical, theoretical and operational networking issues from new perspectives that consider coding at network nodes. We have presented a network coding approach which asymptotically achieves optimal capacity in multi-source multicast networks. Our analysis uses connections that we make between network coding. In this paper we analysed with and without network coding performance. Also we discussed the simulation results on network coding with linear optimization problem and it shows how network coding can be used.

  • For activating home network, the security service is positively necessary and especially the access control supports secure home network services and differentiated services. But, the existing security technology for home network seldom consider access control or has a architecture to be dependent on specific middleware. Therefore, in this paper we propose a scheme to support integrated access control in home network to use XACML, access control standard of next generation, to have compatability and extensibility and we design and implement XACML access control system based on this. we also had m access control experiment about various policy to connect developed XACML access control system with the UPnP proxy based on OSGi in order to verify compatability with existing home network system.
