  • A new NURBS-based shape optimization method is proposed. Most shape optimization studies consider only control point positions as design variables. Some shape optimization processes present problems with mesh quality and convergence when control points are constrained to a limited space. If the weights of the control points are regarded as additional design variables, it should be possible to attain a better degree of shape control. In this study, positions and weights of NURBS control points are used as design variables, and a shape optimization algorithm incorporates position optimization and weight optimization steps. This method is applied to shape optimization benchmarking problems to verify its advantages.

  • 본 연구는 손의 형상을 복잡한 배경환경에서 손 영역을 안정적으로 검출, 인식하여 윈도우 플레이어의 기능을 제어하는 시스템을 제안하였다. 손은 형상이 매우 복잡하기 때문에 2차원 형상의 불변량에 해당하는 에지의 방향성 히스토그램을 이용하여 인식을 행한다. 이 방법은 복잡한 배경에서 피부색을 지닌 손 영역이 정확히 추출되며 손 형상을 인식하는데 있어서 수행속도가 빠르고 조명변화에 덜 민감하기 때문에 실시간 손 형상 인식에 적합하다. 본 논문에서 제안한 방법을 윈도우 플레이어 제어에 적용한 결과 안정적으로 제어 할 수 있었다.

  • 유체역학적 추력 방향 제어(Fluidic Thrust Vector Control) 방법 중 하나인 동축류 제어 유동 분사를 이용한 추력 방향 제어(Co-flow Thrust Vector Control)의 작동 특성에 대해서 연구하였다. 이 제어 방법은 점성 유동이 벽면에 부착되어 흐르는 코안다 효과(Coanda Effect)를 이용하여 주 유동을 편향 시키는 방법으로서 그 편향각은 이러한 제어 유동 노즐 출구의 플랩 형상에 영향을 받는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이 연구에서는 출구 플랩 형상을 여러 가지로 바꾸어 가며 주 유동의 전압력 300kPa일 때 제어 유동의 편향각이 포화되는 제어유동의 전압력을 측정하였다. 그 결과 쐐기형 플랩의 각도가 증가할수록 포화 영역에서의 편향각은 증가하며 그 각은 플랩의 각도와 일치한다. 그러나 각도가 증가할수록 제어 유동이 플랩의 벽면을 지나면서 팽창파에 의해 가속되어 충격파을 발생시키게 되고 이 충격파는 주 유동에게까지 전파되어 주 유동 제트의 속도를 감소시킨다.

Numerical Study on Flow Characteristics of Synthetic Jet with Rectangular and Circular Slot Exit (사각형 및 원형 출구 Synthetic Jet의 유동 특성에 대한 수치적 연구)

  • The flow characteristics of synthetic jet depending on rectangular and circular jet exit configuration are investigated using numerical computation with cross flow. In rectangular slot, synthetic jet generates the strong vortex but supplies fewer momentum and effectiveness of flow control is reduced along flow direction. In circular slot, regular vortex is formed from slot center to end. It affects the wider region than rectangular slot. The distribution of wall shear stress is considered in order to indicate the effectiveness of flow control device for flow separation delay. Consequently, circular slot is a more suitable candidate for delaying flow separation. In order to derive the optimal shape of a circular slot exit, hole gap and diameter that affect the flow structure and flow control were analyzed. As a result, consider the hole diameter and gap of circular slot exit design, effectiveness of the flow control can be increased.

  • A version control system is used in a rapidly changed environment or a program which developed in a complicated environment. And configuration thread information supporting and it's processing method has an important part in version control. Configuration thread tool such as a system model of DSEE, a view of ClearCase, a label of SourceSafe, and the package of CCC/Harvest have applied to formalized configuration rule by user and obtained a desired configuration information of the version. But it is a problem of configuration thread in supporting information that we. in this method. can't know a exactly well-defined configuration rule information and a predefined information. And these information have a demerit that can't supported the close connection along with undefined version and a meta-information. In this paper. we have modeling a system for these problems to solve and a efficiently configuration thread supported. We also proposed a mixed retrieval model included a boolean retrieval model and a vector retrieval model for support efficiently configuration thread information. We applied and designed the libraries using extended facet method.

A Comparison of Control Methods for Small UAV Considering Ice Accumulation and Uncertainty (결빙 현상과 불확실성을 고려한 소형 무인항공기 제어기법 비교 연구)

  • This paper applies the icing effect and wing rock uncertainty to small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which have recently attracted attention. Attitude control simulations were performed using various control methods. First, the selected platform, the Skywalker X8 UAV with blended wing-body (BWB) configuration, was linearized for both its baseline form, and a form with applied icing effects. Subsequently, using MATLAB SimulinkⓇ, simulations were conducted for roll and pitch attitude control of the baseline configuration and the configuration with icing effects, employing disturbance observer-based PID control, model reference adaptive control, and model predictive control. Furthermore, the study introduced wing rock uncertainty simultaneously with icing effects on the configured model-a combination not previously explored in existing research-and conducted simulations. The performance of each control Method was compared and analyzed.

  • 본 논문에서는 만타형상의 무인잠수정의 운동성능과 제어기설계에 대한 성능을 확인하기 위한 수학모델을 정립하여 시뮬레이션 프로그램을 개발하였다. 본 논문에 사용된 수학모델은 6자유도 운동방정식을 이용하여 Matlab / Simulink를 이용하여 시뮬레이션 프로그램을 개발하였다. 개발된 시뮬레이션 프로그램을 이용하여 만타형상무인잠수정(Manta-type unmanned underwater test vehicle)의 동역학적 운동성능을 해석하였으며, 무인잠수정의 제어성능을 해석하기 위하여 PID(비례-미분-적분)제어기와 슬라이딩모드(Sliding mode)제어기를 설계하여 만타형상무인잠수정의 제어 성능을 해석하였다. 설계된 제어기는 무인잠수정의 수심제어와 방향각제어에 사용되었다. 설계된 제어기의 성능을 확인하기 위하여 미국 해군대학원(Naval Postgraduate School)의 AUV II와 비교하였다. 설계된 수심제어와 방향각 제어기를 이용하여 만타형무인잠수정의 설계 목표에 부합하는 항해제어시뮬레이션을 실시하였다.

Comparison of Performance of Restrainers of Steel Cables and Shape Memory Alloy Bars for Multiple-Span-Simply-Supported Bridges (다경간 단순지지 교량의 강케이블 및 형상기억합금 변위제어장치의 성능 비교)

  • Steel restrainer cables for multiple frame bridges in California in the United States have been shown to be effective in preventing unseating at internal hinges during the past several earthquakes. Consequently, the steel-cable-restrainer is being tested for applications on multiple-span-simply-supported (MSSS) bridges in the mid-American region. In addition, shape memory alloy (SMA) bars in tension are being studied for the same application, multiple frame bridges, the developed seismic forces are transferred to piers through the restrainers. However, in MSSS bridges, the seismic forces are transferred to abutments by the restrainers. Therefore, the abutment' behavior should also be investigated. In this study, we assessed the seismic performance of the three types of restrainers, such as steel restrainer cables, SMA in tension, and SMA in bending for an MSSS bridge from moderate to strong ground motion, bending test of an SMA bar was conducted and its analytical model was determined for this study. Nonlinear time history analyses were conducted to assess the seismic responses of the as-built and the retrofitted bridges. All three types of restrainers reduced the hinge opening and the SMA in tension was the most effective of the three devices in preventing the unseating, all restrainers produced damage on the abutment from the pulling action of the MSSS bridge due to strong ground motions, was found that the retrofit of the abutment in the pulling action is required in the installation of restrainers in MSSS bridges.

Design and Test of Lateral/Directional Control Law of a Tailless UAV Using Spoilers (스포일러를 이용한 무미익 항공기의 횡방향축 제어기설계 및 시험)

  • A tailless or Blended-Wing-Body(BWB) shaped configuration is highlighted for UCAV with low RCS characteristics. The BWB configuration is characterized by its directional static instability and low controllability. To control the directional movement of the BWB configured vehicle, directional thrust vectoring equipment or drag rudder typed control surfaces which utilize the drag differences of the wing can be considered. This paper deals with a BWB shaped configuration using a spoiler and describes the lateral-directional aerodynamic characteristics of the vehicle. In addition, it is shwon that the lateral-directional motion can be controlled effectively by using the classical PI control structure. This control law is verified by flight test and showed adequate for the tailless BWB shaped UAV.

A Study on Aircraft Flight Stability of T-50 Air Data Reconfiguration Mode (T-50 형상 재구성 모드의 항공기 비행 안정성에 관한 연구)

  • Modern versions of supersonic jet fighter aircraft using digital flight-by-wire flight control system receive aircraft flight condition such as altitude, airspeed and AoA(angle of attack) from IMFP(Integrated Multi-Function Probe). IMFP sensors data have triplex structure using three IMFP sensors. An air data reconfiguration mode is applied to a T-50 flight control law to guarantee the aircraft flight stability when 2 or 3 IMFP sensors data are invalided. In this study, linear analysis and HQS(Handling Quality Simulator) pilot simulation are performed to analyze flight stability when the air data reconfiguration mode is applied to the control law. And we propose an example that the air data reconfiguration mode is applied to the control law due to second failure of IMFP during T-50 flight. It is found that the aircraft flight stability is not affected when the T-50 flight control law is changed to the air data reconfiguration mode.
