Exterior Vision Inspection Method of Injection Molding Automotive Parts (사출성형 자동차부품의 외관 비전검사 방법)

  • In this paper, we propose a visual inspection method of automotive parts for injection molding to improve the appearance quality and productivity of automotive parts. Exterior inspection of existing injection molding automobile parts was generally done by manual sampling inspection by human. First, we applied the edge-tolerance vision inspection algorithm ([1] - [4]) for vision inspection of electronic components (TFT-LCD and PCB) And we propose a new visual inspection method to overcome the problem. In the proposed visual inspection, the inspection images of the parts to be inspected are aligned on the basis of the reference image of good quality. Then, after partial adaptive binarization, the binary block matching algorithm is used to compare the good binary image and the test binary image. We verified the effectiveness of the edge-tolerance vision check algorithm and the proposed appearance vision test method through various comparative experiments using actual developed equipment.

  • Computer vision technology is a component inspection to obtain a video image from the camera to the machine to perform the capabilities of the human eye with a field of artificial intelligence, and then analyzed by the algorithm to determine to determine the good and bad of production parts It is widely applied. Shape inspection method was used as how to identify the location of the start point and the end point of the search range, measure the height to the line scan method, in such a manner as to determine the presence or absence of the bolt tabs average brightness of the inspection area in a circular scan type value And the degree of similarity was calculated. The total time it takes to test in the test performance tests of two types of bolts tab enables test 300 min, and demonstrated the accuracy and efficiency of the inspection on the production line represented a complete inspection accuracy.

  • 본 논문에서는 딥러닝을 기반으로 하는 키포인트 인식 모델을 산업용 품질검사 머신비전에 응용하는 방법을 제안한다. 전이학습 방법을 이용하여 딥러닝 모델의 인식률을 높이는 방법을 제시하였고, 전이시킨 특성 추출 모델에 대해 추가로 데이터 세트에 대한 학습을 진행하는 것이 특성추출 모델의 초기 ImageNet 가중치를 동결시켜 학습하는 것보다 학습 속도나 정확도가 높다는 것을 보여준다. 실험을 통해 딥러닝을 응용하는 산업용 품질 검사 공정에는 특성추출 모델의 추가 학습이 중요하다는 점을 확인할 수 있었다.

O-ring Size Measurement Based on a Small Machine Vision Inspection Equipment (소형 머신 비전 검사 장비에 기반한 O링 치수 측정)

  • In this paper, O-ring size measurement algorithm based on a small machine vision inspection equipment which can replace a expensive and large machine vision inspection equipment is presented. The small machine vision inspection equipment acquires a image from a CCD camera shooting a measurement plane which located on a back light and the proposed size measurement algorithm is apply to the image. For improvement of size measurement accuracy, camera lens distortion correction and perspective distortion correction are conducted by software technique. Consider O-ring's shape, ellipse fitting model is applied. In order to increase the reliability of ellipse fitting, RANSAC algorithm is applied.

  • Elliptical gears are used in the oval flowmeter and oval flow meter inspects volume of water thanks to space by the elliptical shape. The purpose of this study is to judge accuracy of processing of the elliptical gear and develop inspection system using machine vision. Demand of machine vision is increasing while the factory automation is spreading and principle factor in-process inspection. But, gear inspection using the machine vision rarely used because of complex shape of gear. In this study, it seems possible that elliptical gear is inspected by inspection software using machine vision and inspection program can judge accuracy of processing of the elliptical gear designed this study.

3-Dimensional Shape Inspection for Micro BGA by LED Reflection Image (LED 반사영상을 이용한 마이크로 BGA 3차원형상검사)

  • An optical method to inspect the 3-D shape of surface of Micro BGA is proposed, where spatially arranged LED light sources and specular reflection are considered. The reflected image captured by a vision system was analyzed to calculate the relative displacements of LED's in the image. Also, the statistics for all BGA's contained in a captured image are used together to find out the criteria for the detection of existing defects, and the usefulness of the proposed method is shown via experiments.

  • In this study, an efficient machine vision based inspection system is developed for the in-line measurement of phosphor resin dispensing shapes on LED chip package. Since the phosphor resin (target material) has semitransparent characteristics, illuminated light beam is reflected from the bottom of the chip as well as from the surface. Since such phenomenon can deteriorate inspection reliability, a white LED and a 635nm laser slit beams are experimentally tested to decide suitable illumination optics. Also, specular and diffuse reflection methods are tested to decide suitable optical triangulation. As a result, it can be known that the combination of a white slit beam source and specular reflection method show the best inspection results. The Catmull-Rom spline interpolation is applied to the obtained data to form smoother surface. From the results, it can be conclude that the developed system can be sucessfully applied to the in-line inspection of LED chip packaging process.

  • A statistical approach to inspection of the 3-D shape of micro solder balls is proposed, where an optical method with spatially arranged LED and specular reflection is used. The reflected image captured by a vision system was analyzed to calculate the relative displacements of LED's in the image. Also, the statistics of displacements for the solder balls contained in a captured image are used to detect existing defects, and the usefulness of the proposed method is shown via experiments.

  • This study is concentrated on the development of high speed multi-object image processing algorithm in real time. Recently, the use of vision system is rapidly increasing in inspection and robot's position control. To apply the vision system, it is necessary to transform the physical coordinate of object into the image information acquired by CCD camera. Thus, to use the application of the vision system to the inspection and robot's position control in real time, we have to know the position of object in the image plane. Particularly, in case of rigid body using multi-cue to identify its shape, the each position of multi-cue must be calculated in an image plane at the same time. To solve these problems, the image processing algorithm on the position of multi-cue is developed.

  • A shock absorber rod is located in the center of the absorber piston and is responsible for the reciprocating movement portion. If it has surface defects, the damping performance of product will be adversely affected. A rod surface has gloss by heat treatment. Therefore, it is difficult to find a defect, such as dust, imprints, and blowholes. Because a total inspection is achieved by visual inspection by workers, it causes eyestrain and the quality of the product is not constant. In this paper, a machine vision system was developed to find a defect using a line-scan camera. The machine can detect surface defects than 0.3mm. To minimize the occurrence probability of defects on the inspection process, the developed auto inspection system had an automatic feeding system and incorporated a protection system. Through the development of this system, which relies on the operator's visual inspection of the surface of the shock absorber, the Rod inspection system constructed quality inspection standards and standardized tests to ensure improved reliability.
