This research is, first of all, a theoretical study concerning 'conflict.' Only then, we could obtain ways in which we manage and resolve various problems arising from conflicts in business between Korean and Chinese companies. In doing this, we also tried to grasp cultural characteristics, or factors, in Chinese ways of carrying out negotiations that lead to conflicts with us. On the basis of these preliminary considerations, we developed practical techniques of conflict management and types of negotiation strategy. We thereby could suggest broader strategic implications for better performance in international business. Concretely, this research investigates techniques of conflict management and types of negotiation strategy. For such techniques and types, we suggest, (1) Sharing technique or reconciliatory compromising negotiation and its compromise strategy, (2) collaborative technique or cooperative negotiation and its win-win strategy, (3) competitive technique or competitive negotiation and its profit-seeking attack strategy, (4) accommodative technique or receptive negotiation and its relation-maintaining yield strategy, (5) avoidant technique or evasive negotiation and its indifference-showing avoidance strategy. This research contributes to promote understanding on negotiation culture of chinese corporate. and we provide the guideline of the conflict management and the insight for the efficiency strategy of chinese business negotiation. But, empirical data and statistical examinations should be added to our present research for the future prospective ones.

During the ASEM(Asian-Europe Meeting) the president Kim Dae-jung have a conference with France president Jacques Chirac about the Waikyujanggak book restitution which the president Mitterand promised in 1993. The results of conference, equivalence of quality and quantity, have stirred up Korean public sentiment. The restitution of cultural asset is a very subtile problem in all of the country. The united Germany and from the Soviet Union dismantled Russia also have begun to discuss the library book restitution. These two countries had plundered library books each other during the World War II. To resolve the issue Germany and Russia are having several Round Table at governmental level and library expert level. However except Lituania and Georgia three are not many successful outcomes. This study based on the process of the book restitution the Germany and Russia being under way. Though our historical background is different from these two countries, we have a same problem.

The industrialization and globalization in the field of broadcasting are rapidly proceeded by extension of multilateral agreement as GATT and WTO, and by expansion of bilateral FTA. The broadcasting gets important in the industries according to the change of broadcasting environment grounded on industrial logic. As the broadcasting products become an important article of trade, broadcasting industry is the best bet in the cultural industries. In the international trade, the USA and Japan will treat cultural products the same as common goods and keep in the frame of free trade. On the contrary, the EU nations and Canada take a position that the cultural products are common goods and also public goods at the same time, and that therefore the cultural products will be excepted from the free trade. But this so called cultural exception, which is formed in the multilateral free trade agreement, is merely a temporal countermeasure, not a fundamental alternative especially in the present circumstances of DDA negotiation of WTO and of enlargement of FTA by the USA. So a nation shall carry out policies for cultural identity and cultural autonomy by the guarantee of Cultural Diversity Agreement of UNESCO, and organize a new cultural exchange order which substitutes the trade order by trade agreements.

The purpose of this study is to see how Korean American people use and negotiate appearance in the US. 22 Korean American women at the age of 20s to 50s were interviewed and the verbatim texts from the interviews were interpreted. Discourses on appearance style followed by consumer stories such as American vs. Korean culture, gender, class, generation as well as personal background were recorded. The results of this study revealed that Korean Americans had diverse interpretations about their appearance and styling to fit the condition of their everyday lives. Korean immigrants did not simply assimilate dominant culture over time but maintained transcultural identities depending on contexts. This study showed that researches dealing with cultural variables could have more insights about personal experiences and social meaning processes through interpretative approach.

지금 우리 농업과 농촌은 대내외적으로 시련기를 맞고 있다. 농가소득의 상대적인 하락(도시근로자의 4분의 3 수준), 농촌 지역의 보건ㆍ의료 기반과 문화시설의 취약, 교육 여건의 미흡 등으로 농업을 포기하고 이농을 하는 젊은 농업 인이 늘어나고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 가운데 도하개발의제(DDA) 농산물협상, 자유무역협정(FTA) 체결 등 농산물 시장개방은 피할 수 없는 압력이 되고 있다. 더욱이, 농가의 농업소폭의 전반, 농가소득의 1/4를 차지하는 쌀 농업은 과잉재고, 소비 감소, 개방 압력 등으로 큰 시련을 겪고 있다. 정부 수매, 쌀값지지 등 정부의 보호정책은 후퇴 내지는 폐지될 수밖에 없는 환경에 놓여 있다. 한국과 유럽연합(EU)의 자유무역협정(FTA) 협상이 시작돼 국내낙농산업은 한미 FTA 타결에 이어 또 한번 철퇴를 맞을 것으로 예상된다. 특히 국내시유소비정체와는 대조적으로 성장세에 있는 치즈산업에 막대한 피해가 우려된다. 이에 따라 국내치즈산업에 대한 재조명이 필요한 때가 아닌가 싶다. 치즈는 특히 수천년전부터 이어져 오는 유럽의 전통이자 '문화의 산물'이었다. 최근 웰빙이 세계적인 추세로 변화의 바람을 타자 치즈를 또 하나의 건상상품이자 중요한 식품의 하나로 자리잡게 하는데 한 몫을 하고 있다.

The paper uses a panel gravity model to analyse the determinants of export via Gwangyang port for the period from 2000-2012. The gravity model includes export via Gwangyang port, GDP and population of trading partners, the distances between Korea and its partners, and Korea-ASEAN FTA dummy. Hausman test shows up which one is exactly appropriate between random effect estimation and fixed effect estimation to use panel dataset. It depends on whether or not existence or nonexistence of the correlation between unobserved omitted factors and variables. Fixed effect estimation is suitable for this paper by the rejection of null hypothesis. An Empirical analysis of this paper shows GDP influences positive effects and distance influences negative effects to Gwangyang port trading partners. In addition, the results strongly supported the effects of Korea-ASEAN FTA on the growth of Gwangyang port export.
