AR-Based Character Tracking Navigation System Development (AR기반 캐릭터 트래킹 네비게이션 시스템 개발)

  • In this study, real-time character navigation using AR lens developed by Nreal is developed. Real-time character navigation is not possible with general marker-based AR because NPC characters must guide while moving in an unspecified space. To replace this, a markerless AR system was developed using Digital Twin technology. Existing markerless AR is operated based on hardware such as GPS, gyroscope, and magnetic sensor, so location accuracy is low and processing time in the system is long, which results low reliability in real-time AR environment. In order to solve this problem, using the SLAM technique to construct a space into a 3D object and to construct a markerless AR based on point location, AR can be implemented without any hardware intervention in a real-time AR environment. This real-time AR environment configuration made it possible to implement a navigation system using characters in tourist attractions such as Suncheon Bay Garden and Suncheon Drama Filming Site.

The influence of social capital on knowledge sharing behavior of mobile learners (사회적 자본이 이동학습자의 지식공유행위에 미치는 영향)

  • Modern society is complex and rapidly changing, and knowledge sharing is needed to acquire and create knowledge. Knowledge sharing is the act of providing information knowledge and know-how of their own in order to cooperate with or help their colleagues. This study presents a research model using social capital theory to explain the mobile knowledge sharing behavior of virtual community members. Based on previous studies, social capital theory is divided into structural, relational, and cognitive aspects. It was composed of social interaction ties as a measure of structural aspect, trust as a measure of cognitive aspect, shared language, shared vision and relational aspect. After collecting survey data, factor analysis and regression analysis were performed using SPSS 22. In this way, we examined how the detailed factors of social capital affect information sharing behavior and how the level of knowledge sharing affects community promotion. The results showed that social interaction ties, shared language, shared vision, and trust affect knowledge sharing. Knowledge sharing has had a positive impact on community promotion.

  • 인위적, 자연적 요인에 의한 물순환 왜곡과 물순환 건전성 저하는 이수, 치수, 환경 등 다양한 물 관리 분야의 문제를 일으키고 있다. 이에 건전한 유역 물순환 관리에 관한 사회적 요구가 증대되고 있다. 유역의 물순환 관리를 위해서는 유역 전반의 물 이동과 물 이용에 관한 정량적인 평가가 선행되어야 하고, 유역의 물순환 건전성을 평가할 수 있는 체계가 필요하다. 이 연구에서 물순환 정량화를 위해 자연계 및 인공계 물순환 요소를 반영한 유역 유출 모형을 구축하였고, 관측 자료와 모형을 통해 분석된 결과를 이용하여 물순환을 정량화하였다. 한편, 물순환 건전성 평가를 위해 물환경, 물이용, 물안전의 3가지 범주 내에 수질 관리, 비점오염 관리, 수생태 관리, 하천유지기능, 지하수 보전, 치수 관리, 이수 관리의 7가지 항목에 대한 건전성을 평가할 수 있는 평가지표와 기준을 제시하였다. 그리고 계층 분석적 의사결정 기법에 따른 가중치를 이용하여 7개의 평가항목을 종합한 물순환 건전성 지수(hydrologic soundness index; HSI)를 도입하였다. 구성된 물순환 정량화 및 건전성 평가체계를 경안천과 남강, 미호천, 황룡강 중권역에 적용하여 중권역별로 필요한 물순환 개선 사업과 투자 우선순위가 높은 표준유역을 식별하였다. 이 연구에서 제시한 물순환 정량화 및 건전성 평가체계는 유역의 다양한 물 문제를 객관적으로 진단하는 한 가지 방편으로서, 유역의 물 문제 해결을 위한 기술적 정보 제공에 이바지할 수 있다.

Design and fabrication of GaAs MMIC high power amplfier and microstrip combiner for IMT-2000 handset (IMT-2000 고출력 전력전폭기의 GaAs MMIC화 및 전송결합기 설계 구현에 관한 연구)

  • 본 고에서는 한국통신(Korea Telecom) IMT-2000 시험시스템(이하: Trial system 라고 함) 단말기용 전력증폭단으로 적용하기 위한 다단구동증폭기 및 전력증폭기를 GaAs MMIC로 설계 구현하는 기술을 제시하였다. 설계된 구동증폭기는 3단으로구성하여 RF(Radia Frequency) 송신신호(1955$\pm$70MHz)대역에서 2단 (중간단)의 이득 조정범위가 40 dB이상이 될 수 있도록 능동부품인 MESFET를 Cascade 형으로 구성하고 MESFET의 게이트(gate)에 조정전압을 인가하는 증폭기를 설계하여 GaAs MMIC화 1 침(크기4$\times$5 mm)으로 제작하였다. 아울러, 본 논문에서는 제시한 구동증폭기는 동작주파수 대역폭 범위기 3.5배이고 출력전력은 15dBmm 이며, 출력전력이득이 25~27dB이고 반사계수는 -15~20dB이며 이득평탄도 3dB(동작주파수 대역폭내)로써 Trial system용 단말기의 최종단인 전력증폭단의 출력단 특성을 효과적으로 나타내었다. 그리고, 전력 증폭기는 2개의 입력단에서 출력되는 신호를 분배하는 전력분배기와 병렬구조인 4개의 증폭단에서 출력되는 출력신호를 외부에서 접속하는 전력결합기를 접소하여 구성하였으며 RF(Radio Frequency) 주파수(1955 $\pm$70NHz)에서 대역폭을 4배로 설계하여 광대역인 대역폭을 구현하였고 출력전력은 570mW이며, 출력부가효율(PAE; Power Added Efficency)가 -15$\pm$20dB이고, 이득 평탄도(Gain flatness)는 동작주파수 대역내에서 0.5dB이며 입출력 전압정재파비(Input & Output VSWR)가 13이하인 고출력 전력증포기를 GaAs MMIC화 1칩 (크기; 3$\times$4mm)으로 제작하였다.의 다양성이나 편리성으로 변화하는 것이 국적을 바꾸는 것보다 어려운 시 대가 멀지 않은 미래에 도래할 것이다. 신세기 통신 과 SK 텔레콤에는 현재 1,300만명이 넘 는 고객이 있으며. 이들 고객은 어 이상 음성통화 중심의 이동전화 고객이 아니라 신세기 통신과 SK텔레콤이 함께 구축해 나갈 거대란 무선 네트워크 사회에서 정보화 시대를 살아 갈 회원들이다. DIAION WA30을 라세미화 촉매로 사용하여 아이소옥탄 내에서 라세믹 나프록센 2,2,2-트리플로로에틸 씨오에스터의 효소적 DKR 반응을 수행해 보았다. 그 결과 DIAION WA30을 사용하지 않은 경우에 비해 반응 전환율과 생성물의 광학 순도는 급격히 향상되었다. 전통적 광학분할 반응의 최대 50%라는 전환율의 제한이 본 연구에서 찾은 DIAION WA30을 첨가함으로써 성공적으로 극복되었다. 또한 고체 염기촉매인 DIAION WA30의 사용은 라세미화 촉매의 회수 및 재사용이 가능하게 해준다.해준다.다.   • Ontology is an explicit specification of concepts and relationships between concepts in an interest domain. As considered as one of typical knowledge representation methods, ontology is applied to various studies such as information extraction, information integration, information sharing, or knowledge management. In IT based industries, ontology is applied to research on information integration and sharing in order to enhance interoperability between enterprises. In supply chains or logistics, several enterprises participate as business partners to plan movements of goods, and control goods and logistics flows. A number of researches on information integration and sharing for the effective and efficient management of logistics or supply chains have been addressed. In this paper, we address an ontology as a knowledge-base for semantic-based integration of logistics information distributed in the logistics flow. Especially, we focus on developing an ontology that enables to represent and translate semantic meaning of EPC data in the EPC Network applied logistics. We present a scenario for tracing products in logistics in order to show the value of our ontology.

Features of Foreign Marine Debris on the Dune Beach of U-i Island, Korea (우이도 사구 해안의 외국기인 해양쓰레기 특성)

  • Transport of marine debris between countries is a potential source of diplomatic conflicts. U-i Island in Shinan County, Jeonnam Province has been reported by media as being damaged by marine debris from foreign countries. However, scientific researches on those marine debris have not been published. So, the features of foreign marine debris on Seongchon Beach in U-i Island were surveyed on Feb. 2012. The ratio of marine debris from foreign countries was 34.7% by number of items, 56.3% by weight, and 48.5% by volume in $200m^2$ transacts. Most of them, 98.9% in number, were inferred to be originated from China. The most abundant items were plastic beverage bottles and black floats. The total number of black floats was 539 within the 1,100m beach. Fifteen of them had information on manufactured locations, of which 87.6% were Liaoning Province in northern China. As domestic policy cannot prevent the inflow of the marine debris from foreign countries, countermeasures should be sought out from the international cooperation with the neighboring countries. For the black floats, recycling method should be developed as lots of the same types of black floats are drifted ashore in winter. And, as the U-i Island is a National Park with its valuable natural heritages, methods should be designed to minimize impacts on dune topography and ecology.

Utilization of Rotational Beam Direction Patterns for Performance Enhancement of Cell Boundary UEs (셀 경계 단말의 성능 향상을 위한 회전성 빔 방향 패턴의 활용)

  • Even though extensive research results have been applied to wireless cellular systems to improve their capacity and coverage, severe performance degradation experienced in cell boundary areas still remains as a major limiting factor to prohibit further improvement of user equipment (UE) throughput. In the Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LTE-A) standard of the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), Some advanced techniques have been introduced to overcome this "cell-edge problem", including coordinated multipoint transmission and reception (CoMP) and inter-cell interference coordination (ICIC). In this paper, we propose yet another strategy to improve the performance of low-tier UEs by using the concept of multiple beam direction patterns (BDPs). Such multiple BDPs can be implemented using multi-layer antenna arrays stacked vertically at base station (BS) sites to transmit signals in different main beam directions. In comparison to conventional three-sector antennas with a fixed beam pattern, the proposed methods makes signal transmission in a rotational fashion to significantly enhance the reception quality of UEs located near sector (or cell) edge areas, preventing the situation where certain UEs are marginally covered by the BS for the whole transmission time. Performance evaluation results show that the proposed scheme outperforms the conventional three-sector transmission by 171% in low 5% UEs in terms of the UE throughput.

SINR Maximizing Collaborative Beamforming with Enhanced Robustness Against Antenna Correlation (안테나 간 상관도에 강건한 SINR 최대화 협력적 빔포밍 기법)

  • In this paper, a generation method of transmit and receive beamforming vectors based on base station cooperation is proposed which maximizes the user SINR in mobile cellular multi-user MIMO systems. There are two main sources of interference which deteriorate the performance of the system, i.e. the inter-user interference caused by the usage of the same radio resource for multiple users in the system, and the inter-cluster interference from neighboring base stations which are not participating in cooperative transmission. The proposed scheme cancels out the inter-user interference by using the block diagonalization(BD) method, and mitigate the inter-cluster interference by using optimal transmit and receive beamforming vectors based on optimal combining(OC) with the statistic information of inter-cluster interference. We perform computer simulations to verify the performance of the proposed scheme, and compare the result to the conventional performance obtained from utilizing the receiver side information only or utilizing the information from neither sides. The performance evaluations are conducted not only over the independent MIMO channels, but over correlated MIMO channels to demonstrate the robustness of the proposed scheme over the channels with correlation among antennas.

A Study on Evaluation of Slope Stability and Range of Rockfall Hazard of Daljeon-ri Columnar Joint in Pohang, Korea (천연기념물 제415호 포항 달전리 주상절리의 사면안정성 평가 및 낙석 위험 범위 설정)

  • In this study, we evaluated the slope stability of the Pohang Daljeon-ri columnar joint (Natural Monuments # 415) and calculated the maximum energy, jumping height and moving distance of rockfalls using a simulation. Based on the results, we established the range of rockfall risk. The slopes of the Pohang Daljeon-ri columnar joint have dip directions of 93.79°, 131.99°, 165.54° and 259.84° from left (SW) to right (NE). Furthermore, they have a fan-like shape. The Pohang Daljeon-ri columnar joints are divided into four sections depending on the dip direction. The measurement results of the discontinuous face show that zone 1 is 125, zone 2 is 261, zone 3 is 262, zone 4 is 43. The results of slope stability analyses for each section using a stereographic projection method correspond to the range of planar and toppling failure. Although it is difficult to diagnose the type of failure, risk evaluation of currently falling rocks requires further focus. The maximum movement distance of a rockfall in the simulation was approximately 66 m and the rockfall risk range was the entire area under slope. In addition, it is difficult to forecast where a rock will fall as it rolls in various directions due to topographic factors. Thus, the installation of measures to prevent falling is suggested to secure the stability based on the results of the rockfall simulations and its probabilistic analysis.

Application Timings of Insecticides to Control the First Generation of the Asian Corn Borer, Ostrinia furnacalis in Waxy Maize Fields (찰옥수수 포장에서 1세대 조명나방(Ostrinia furnacalis) 방제를 위한 살충제 처리 시기)

  • We decided the efficient application timings of organo-synthetic insecticides for controlling the first generation larvae of O. furnacalis through investigations of insect stage-specific densities, damage aspects in maize, and effects of insecticides. A waxy maize cultivar, Ilmichal, was cultivated from April 20 (sowing) to July 26 (harvest, dough stage of maize) in Suwon, 2016. The maximum and 50% cumulative catch dates of the overwintering generation adults in the sex pheromone trapping were May 29 and May 31, respectively. Most of the first generation larvae finished their occurrence till the early reproductive stage of maize. The first generation larvae fed on leaves inside the whorl leaves before tassel and stem development of maize, sequentially moved to tassel and stem, and then moved finally to stem and ear parts. In the results of insecticide applications at different dates, the 9-11 leaf stage (June 10~17) and the 6-7 leaf stage (June 3) of maize were the most efficient application timings for direct spray of Etofenprox EC to maize, and for application of Carbofuran granules onto soil surface, respectively, which resulted in suppression of tunnelling damages. The timings for the two insecticides were 12-19 days and 5 days after the adult maximum catch date, respectively. Those timings after the 50% cumulative adult catch date were advanced 2 days.
