Objectives : This study was done for reporting the effect of scratching method on patients with positional vertigo. Methods : We investigated 22 cases of patients with dizziness, and devided patients into two groups : We treated one group by complex oriental medical treatment with scratching method therapy, and did the other group by complex oriental medical treatment without scratching method therapy. Korean version of dizziness handicap inventory at baseline and final were used for evaluating the effect of the treatment. Results : 1. In scratching method group and non-scratching method group, compared with baseline, at final, Korean version of dizziness handicap inventory was significantly decreased. 2. At final, scratching method group showed significant decrease on Korean version of dizziness handicap inventory compared with non-scratching method group. Conclusions : Scratching method showed significant improvement in dizziness.

We diagnosis two patients who have severe vertigo and gait inbalance as ‘dizziness due to retention of phlegm’ (痰暈) and gave Zexie-tang(澤瀉湯). They improved enable to walk balance and no more vetigo. Therefore we could assume that Ku-ren-xuan-mao(苦人眩冒) which is the main symptom of Zexie-tang means the vertigo and gait imbalance due to vestibular disorder.

1. Objectives These cases are to report that Taeumin patients suffering from positional vertigo treated by Constitutional medications. 2. Methods These patients were treated by Taeumin's Constitutional medications and acupuncture treatment according to the result of Sasang Constitutional diagnosis. We used Visual analogue scale(VAS) for the assessment of vertigo. 3. Results & Conclusions Three patients have been suffering from Positional Vertigo were treated by Taeumin's Constitutional medications(especially Taeumjowi-tang and Jowisungcheng-tang) and showed positive responses about their problems.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to know the effect of Yeonggyechulgam-tang on BPPV. Methods : Three patients were taken Yeonggyechulgam-tang with acupunture. And we used visual analogue scale(VAS). Results : After the treatment the grade of VAS was decreased and clinical symptoms were gradually disappeared. Conclusion : Yeonggyechulgam-tang was effective treatment of BPPV.

Astrocytomas are tumors that arise from brain cells called astrocytes. These tumors can occur anywhere in the brain and spinal cord. Clinical features and symptoms depend on the location of the tumor and the victim's age. Patients with cerebellar tumors have symptoms that include headache, vomiting and unsteadiness in walking. Tumors in the cerebral hemispheres commonly present with seizures: occasionally there is weakness of the arms and legs. We treated a 33 year-old male patient who complained of dyarthria, TMD, nausea, dysphagia, and facial numbness etc. he had frequent undergone general weakness before above symptoms occurred. He was diagnosed as astrocytoma and multifocal inf and responded well to treatment with Chukdamtang(滌痰湯). acupunture and oriental physical stimulations etc.

1. Objective: This study is about a Soyangin patient with vertigo after subarachnoid hemorrhage. In this study, we report the effects of Sasang constitutional treatment to this patient. 2. Methods: This patient was treated by Soyangin's constitutional medications and acupunture according to the result of Sasang constitutional diagnosis. 3. Results and Conclusions: This patient's chief complaints were vertigo and gait disturbance. By using Yangkyuksanhwa-tang mainly, she showed positive response about her symptom. This study shows that Yangkyuksanhwa-tang has effect to vertigo in Soyangin.

This study has been carried out to investigate the cause and etiology of vertigo by referring to 47 literatures. The results were as follows ; 1. Vertigo is classified in Oriental Medicine into Exess Symptom-Complex(實證) and Deficiency Symptom-Complex(虛證). Exess Symptom-Complex(實證) is caused by flare-up the fire of the liver(肝陽上亢), phlegm-heat(痰火) and exogenous pathogenic factors(外邪). Deficiency Symptom-Complex(虛證) is caused by insufficiency of the yin of the kidney(腎陰不足) and deficiency of qi and blood(氣血虛). 2. The principles of vertigo treatments are pyongganjamyang(平肝潛陽), sohwasigpung(消火息風), boiggihyul(補益氣血), geonunbiui(建運脾胃), boigsinjeong(補益腎精), chungyangnoisu(充養腦髓), joseubgeodam(燥濕祛痰), geonblhwaui(建脾和胃). 3. Various Needling Treatment Methods of vertigo in the recent Oriental Medicine are presented such as Filiform Needle(鍼刺療法), Auricular Acupuncture Therapy(耳鍼療法), Scalp Acupuncture Therapy(頭鍼療法), Cataneous Needle Therapy(皮膚鍼療法), Aqua Acupuncture Therapy(水鍼療法), etc.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the clinical effects of Hominis Placenta Pharmacopunture(HPP) on Vertigo. Methods : A 82-year-old female patient whose chief complaint was Vertigo was treated with Placenta Pharmacopunture at CV6 and GB21, twelves times for a month. Acupuncture and herbal medicine were added depending on the symptoms. Laboratory test was taken and Korean Version of Dizziness Handicap Inventory was examined before and after each treatment. Results : After the treatments, the symptoms were improved. Conclusions : Hominis Placenta Pharmacopuncture may be an efficacious therapy for Iron Deficiency Anemia.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of Korean Medicine on a patient having vertigo disease. Methods: The patient was treated with Korean medicine, including Bongnyeongbanha-tang (茯苓半夏湯) and acupuncture, from October 3, 2015 to October 8, 2015. The Vertigo Score Scale and Numeric Rating Scale were assessed for evaluation. Results: After the treatment, the intensity of vertigo and nausea were decreased and the patient's walking and visual difficulties were improved. Conclusions: Korean Medicine treatment can relieve vertigo symptoms.

Objectives: In this report, we describe two patients with central dizziness and cerebellar ataxia who were treated with traditional Korean medicine. Methods: We applied traditional Korean medicine treatments of herbal medication (Banhabaekchulcheonma-tang and Bojungikki-tang), acupuncture, and moxibustion. Results: After 31 days of treatment, we observed improvement in the central dizziness on a numeric rating scale and in the cerebellar ataxia based on the patient's ambulation state. Conclusions: Traditional Korean medicine may be effective in the treatment of central dizziness and cerebellar ataxia.
