Verification and Improvement of Structural Behavior Response Performance Evaluation Method for the Standard Establishment of Adhesive Composite Waterproofing Sheets (점착형 복합 방수시트의 표준(안)제정을 위한 구조물 거동대응성능 시험방법 개선 및 검증 평가 연구)

  • In April 2019, this study was enacted as a test method for the performance of waterproof layers in an environment where complex deterioration and structural behavior are simultaneously applied, but some existing standards were implemented to point out the errors of the method that should be supplemented. Thus, in establishing standards for (tentative) adhesive waterproofing sheets, field workability and quantification of test results were studied on the structural behavior response performance test methods included as test items. In addition, the performance evaluation of adhesive-type composite waterproof sheets was conducted based on the considered contents to review improvements such as applicability as an item of standard standards and field workability related problems.

Research on the on-site Seat Test Technology for the nuclear safety related valves (원전용 안전등급 밸브의 현장 폐쇄기밀시험 기술에 대한 연구)

  • The seat leakage test is required after the maintenance work on the valve seat. Either the test has been performed outside of the plant after cutting the valve from the pipe system or the simplified test has been performed so far. It was unable to perform the test at the plant site because it is hard to make a steady pressure on the valve inlet when it is installed in the pipe. This research aims to perform the leakage test in the nuclear power plant while it is installed in the pipe system. The mock-up test is performed by pressurizing the leak-off pipe on the valve body. The result is compared with traditional test result by pressurizing the valve inlet. Furthermore the chamber mock-up tests are performed under various conditions. The leak rate by the developed test using the leak-off pipe is found to be similar but greater than the leak rate by the existing test method. It implies that the test using the leak-off pipe is more conservative than the existing test. The methodology and the equipment which this paper suggests that on-site seat test is possible and the application of the technology could reduce the time and cost for the valve maintenance work significantly.

부착방지 기능성 도료의 탈착 특성 평가 및 고찰

  • 안정적이고 효율적인 전력 공급을 위해 번화가 대로변 주변에 다수의 지상 변압기 및 개폐기가 설치되고 있으며, 이로 인해 불법 부착물로 인한 도시의 미관 훼손, 변압기 및 개폐기의 오염 등의 문제가 발생하고 있다. 따라서 각 산업체 및 연구 기관에서는 부착 방지용 코팅 도료 및 시트에 대해 다양한 연구개발을 진행하고 있으며, 현장에 적용되고 있는 사례도 있다. 하지만 현재 현장에 적용된 대부분의 제품들은 약 1년 정도의 시간이 지나면 고유의 기능을 상실하며, 도료 및 시트와 기판 사이의 박리가 일어나 우수한 성능을 보이지 않아, 결과적으로 도시에 더욱더 악영향을 주고 있다. 이러한 원인으로는 도료 및 시트의 성능 평가를 위한 다양한 규격들이 존재하지만, 테이프류 탈착 시 영향을 주는 인자(Factor)들이 명확하게 설정되어 있지 않고, 이에 대해 면밀하게 분석한 자료가 없으며, 정량적이고 객관적인 시험 방법이 고려되지 않고 있기 때문에 좋은 제품을 선별하기 어려운 상황이다. 따라서 여러 가지 제품들의 비교평가 및 기술 개발에 활용할 수 있는 가이드라인을 제시하기 위해 일반적으로 사용되고 있는 면테이프(Duct tape)를 이용하여 기판(Substrate)에 대해 다양한 인자를 기준으로 탈착 특성을 측정 및 평가하였다. 현재 지상 배전함 및 개폐기는 분체도장(Powder coating)으로 구성되어져 있으며, 그 모재는 탄소강(Carbon steel)으로 이루어져 있고, 소수의 경우 스테인리스(Stainless steel)를 사용하기 있기 때문에 분체도장(Powder coating), 탄소강(Carbon steel), 스테인리스(Stainless steel)를 기판으로 선정하여 탈착 특성을 평가했다. 탈착 특성에 관여하는 요인으로는 탈착 각도(Peeling angle), 탈착 속도(Peeling speed), 표면 조도(Surface roughness) 등이 있고, 상대 습도(Relative humidity)의 경우 탈착 특성에 영향을 거의 주지 않는 것을 확인했다. 탈착 시 각도가 클수록, 속도가 빠를수록, 조도가 작을수록 부착력(Peel resistance, N/cm)과 탈착 에너지(Energy, J)가 커지며, 탈착 특성에 영향을 주는 인자를 바탕으로 95% 신뢰도 구간을 적용한 탈착특성 모델링을 제시하였다. 이 모델링을 이용하여 실제 현장에서 발생할 수 있는 다양한 각도($90^{\circ}$, $180^{\circ}$)와 속도 범위(100 ~ 1500mm/min)에서의 탈착 특성을 추정하는 것으로, 좋은 성능 및 내구성을 가진 제품을 효과적으로 선별한다.

Comprehensive Pest Management Techniques of Organic Cultivation Sweet Persimmon Orchards (유기재배 단감 과수원의 병해충 종합관리기술)

  • This study was carried out for three years from 2013 to 2015 to investigate the actual condition of pest control of domestic persimmon organically cultivated farmers, to select environment - friendly pest control materials for major pests, and to conduct field test of established control system. The main cultivated cultivar of the reader farmer of organic cultivation was "Buyou" and sprayed organic agricultural material 9~17 times per year for pest control. The most harmful pests were anthracnose, bugs, persimmon fruit worm, and scales, etc. The control materials used were organic lime sulfur mixture, red clay sulfur, emulsifier, bordeaux solution, and self-made plant extracts using garlic, ginkgo nut and pine tree. The effective materials for controlling anthrax were lime sulfur mixture and red clay sulfur. Garlic oil + citronella emulsion, shrubby sophora seed extract + tea extract was effective to control Riptortus clavatus and Euproctis subflava. When installed 60 ea per 10a of mating disruption trap in a sweet orchard, the fruit setting rate was improved by 30%. The results of field test of control system to control 10 times a year in organically grown persimmons were able to harvest fruit of 70.7%. However, since any kinds of pesticides can not be sprayed during the harvest season in September and October, the damaged by bugs did not decreased, and further research is needed.

Development of $^{192}Ir$ Small-Focal Source for Non-Destructive Testing Application by Using Enriched Target Material (고농축 표적을 이용한 비파괴검사용 $^{192}Ir$ 미세초점선원 개발)

  • A $^{192}Ir$ small-focal source has been developed by using the HANARO reactor and the radioisotope production facility at the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI). The small-focal source with the dimension of 0.5 mm in diameter and 0.5 mm in length was fabricated as an aluminum-encapsulated form by a specially designed pressing equipment. For the estimation of the radioactivity, neutron self-shielding and ${\gamma}-ray$ self-absorption effects on the measured activity was considered. From this estimation, it is realized that $^{192}Ir$ small-focal sources over 3 Ci activities can be produced from the HANARO. Field performance tests were performed by using a conventional source and the developed source to take images of a computer CPU and a piece of a carbon steel. The small-focal source showed better penetration sensitivity and geometrical sharpness than the conventional source does. It is concluded from the tests that the focal dimension of this source is small enough to maximize geometrical sharpness in the image taking for the close proximity shots, pipeline crawler applications and contact radiography.

Development of Environmental-friendly Cleaning Agents Utilizing Organic Acids for Removal of Scale on the Wall of Cleaning Beds and Distribution Reservoirs in the Waterworks (유기산을 이용한 상수도 정수장 및 배수지 벽면 스케일 세척용 친환경 세정제 개발)

  • In this study, an environmental-friendly cleaning agent utilizing organic acids and various additives has been developed and applied to the field for removal of scale deposited on the cleaning beds or distribution reservoirs of the waterworks. As an analytical result of scale on the cleaning beds, we found that it consists of mainly metallic oxides such as $SiO_2$, $Al_2O_3$, $Fe_2O_3$, and MnO. Malic acid, malonic acid, and citric acid showed relatively better solvency on $Al_2O_3$, $Fe_2O_3$, and MnO except $SiO_2$ among various organic acids. Mixed organic acid solutions of malic acid, malonic acid, and citric acid were prepared with certain weight ratios and their solvencies on mixed metal oxides of $Al_2O_3$, $Fe_2O_3$, and MnO were investigated. The experimental results showed that an 10% mixed organic acid solution prepared with weight ratio of malic acid : malonic acid : citric acid = 6 : 2 : 2 were found to have best scale solvency power of about 29%. The formulated cleaning agents with a small amount of nonionic surfactant showed much better solvency on mixed oxides than mixed organic solution alone. Especially, the formulated cleaning agent with 0.2 wt% LA-7 surfactant appeared to have best scale removal efficiency of about 35%. However, the formulated cleaning agent with disinfectants such as NaClO, $H_2O_2$ and $Ca(ClO)_2$ showed poor solvency on mixed oxides. It is inferred that surfactants are able to improve scale removal efficiency due to their capability of emulsification, and disinfectants cause to degrade scale solvency in water because of their oxidation. Based on these basic experimental results, formulated cleaning agents have been prepared with mixed organic acid solution, nonionic surfactants, and disinfectants and successfully applied to removal of scales on the cleaning beds and distribution reservoir at city D waterworks.
