Analysis of near-field mixing by tracing EC concentration in natural rivers (자연하천에서 EC 농도 추적을 통한 초기 혼합 구간 해석)

  • 만곡부, 합류부 등의 복잡한 지형을 갖는 자연하천에서의 오염물의 혼합 거동에 대한 이해는 수자원의 관리에 있어서 매우 중요하다. 특히 하폐수처리장과 같은 처리시설의 방류수와 같이 연속적으로 유입되는 오염물의 경우 하천 생태계에 지속적인 영향을 끼치며, 이러한 방류수는 대부분 지류를 통해 본류로 유입되게 된다. 이러한 오염물질이 지류로부터 본류로 합류되는 초기구간(near-field)의 경우, 횡방향 및 연직방향의 혼합 거동에 대한 상세한 분석이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 금호강과 진천천이 좌안으로부터 합류되는 낙동강 중류 구간에서의 초기 혼합 구간의 연구를 위하여 전기전도도(electrical conductivity: EC)를 이용한 농도 추적 실험을 수행하였다. 수온, 전기전도도, 이온화 물질 등과 같은 자연 추적자(natural tracers)를 이용하는 농도 추적 실험은 인공추적자 물질을 이용한 실험을 대체할 수 있는 방안으로서, 기존 추적자 실험과 비교하여 경제적, 환경적인 효과와 하폭이 넓은 중규모 이상의 하천에서도 수행할 수 있다는 장점을 가지고 있다. 실험 구간에서 합류되는 2개의 지류 모두 인근 하폐수처리장으로부터 방류수가 연속적으로 유입된다. 본류에서 정해진 측선을 따라 센서가 설치된 보트를 이용하여 실시간으로 농도, 수리량 데이터를 GPS 위치 데이터와 함께 취득하였다. 실험 수행 결과, 지류인 금호강과 진천천의 EC 농도가 합류 전 낙동강 본류의 EC 기저농도보다 더 높은 값을 나타내었다. 이후 지류가 합류된 직후의 측선에서 측정한 EC 농도분포를 분석한 결과, 연직방향의 편차가 크게 나타나는 것으로 나타났으며 특히 유량이 낮을수록 연직 방향 편차가 커지는 경향을 보였다. 전반적으로 수심이 깊은 구간의 저층부로 갈수록 전기전도도의 값이 증가하는 경향을 나타났으며 흐름방향으로 진행됨에 따라 연직 편차가 줄어드는 경향을 보였다. 횡방향 혼합의 경우 지류의 유입으로 인하여 본류 좌안 쪽에서 전기전도도의 값의 상승을 확인할 수 있었으며 하류로 이동할수록 불균등했던 전기전도도의 분포가 횡방향 혼합을 통하여 균등한 분포로 전환되는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 자연하천에서 수자원의 원활하고 안전한 관리에 있어서 오염물의 혼합 거동에 대한 이해는 매우 중요하다. 대부분의 자연하천의 경우 만곡부 및 합류부와 같은 복잡한 지형을 갖고 있으며 이러한 경우 하천의 흐름이 복잡한 형태를 갖게 된다. 특히 수생태계에 많은 영향을 미치는 하폐수 처리장 처리수는 대부분 1차적으로 지류로 방류되어 이후 본류로 지속적으로 유입되게 된다. 이러한 오염물질이 지류로부터 본류로 혼합되는 합류부 구간의 경우 일반적인 1차원 혼합이 아닌 횡방향을 포함하는 2차원적인 혼합 거동에 대한 분석이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 금호강과 진천천이 좌안으로부터 오염물질이 지속적으로 유입되는 낙동강 중류구간 합류부에서의 혼합 구간의 연구를 위하여 횡분산계수 산정을 위하여 전기전도도(electrical conductivity: EC)를 이용한 농도 추적 실험을 수행하였다. 낙동강 본류에서 정해진 측선을 따라 센서가 설치된 보트를 이용하여 실시간으로 농도, 수리량 데이터를 GPS 위치 데이터와 함께 취득하였다. 또한 실험으로부터 취득한 자료를 바탕으로 2차원 이송-확산 혼합 거동 모델인 CTM-2D 수치모형을 이용하여 모의하였다. 실험 수행 결과, 지류인 금호강과 진천천의 EC 농도가 합류 전 낙동강 본류의 EC 기저농도 보다 더 높은 값을 나타내었다. 지류의 유입으로 인하여 본류 좌안 쪽에서 전기전도도의 값의 상승을 확인할 수 있었으며 하류로 이동할수록 불균등했던 전기전도도의 분포가 횡방향 혼합을 통하여 점점 균등한 분포로 전환되는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 2차원 혼합 거동 분석에 필요한 횡 분산계수 산정을 위해 모멘트법, 해석해를 이용한 추적법, 수치모형을 통한 역산법을 통해 산정하여 결과를 비교하였다. 그 결과 모멘트법의 경우 다른 방법들에 비하여 전반적으로 과소 산정하는 경향을 나타내었다.

Machine Learning-based Optimal VNF Deployment Prediction (기계학습 기반 VNF 최적 배치 예측 기술연구)

  • Network Function Virtualization (NFV) environment can deal with dynamic changes in traffic status with appropriate deployment and scaling of Virtualized Network Function (VNF). However, determining and applying the optimal VNF deployment is a complicated and difficult task. In particular, it is necessary to predict the situation at a future point because it takes for the process to be applied and the deployment decision to the actual NFV environment. In this paper, we randomly generate service requests in Multiaccess Edge Computing (MEC) topology, then obtain training data for machine learning model from an Integer Linear Programming (ILP) solution. We use the simulation data to train the machine learning model which predicts the optimal VNF deployment in a predefined future point. The prediction model shows the accuracy over 90% compared to the ILP solution in a 5-minute future time point.

  • 현재 4차 산업이 진행됨으로써 대부분의 사물들이 자율화 기능이 더해지는 시대가 오고 있다. 자율화 기술이 발전됨으로써 모든 사람들은 삶을 살아가면서 스스로 문제를 해결해 나갈수 있으며 기존의 생활속도보다 빨라지는 것을 느낄수 있을 것이다. 그래서 마트에서도 쇼핑을하면서 소비자들이 어떻게 쇼핑을 할 때 현재의 수준보다 쇼핑의 질이 높아 질지 고안해보았다. 본 과제물은 소비자들이 쇼핑을할 때 보다 편리하게 일을 처리할수도록 스마트 기능을 카트와 카운터에 추가하였다. 카트에 디스플레이와 바코드 스캐너를 부착함으로써 검색을 통해 소비자들이 원하는 물품의 가격, 위치등의 정보를 알아 낼 수 있고 현재 카트에 담긴 물품의 총 가격을 알 수 있다. 또한, 쇼핑을 마치고 계산을할 때 계산 대기줄이 길어지는 불편함을 해소하기위해 자동계산 기능이 있다. 쇼핑을 마친 소비자가 카트를 카운터로 끌고가면 카트에 저장되어 있는 쇼핑정보가 카운터의 디스플레이에 표시되고 카트와 카운터의 정보가 일치한다면 소비자가 카트에 요금을 충전해 스스로 계산을 수행할수 있다. 이런 자동화, 스마트 기능들은 소비자들의 편리함과 시간을 단축시킬수 있을 것이다.

Adequacy Analysis of Tunnel Management System in terms of Operational Safety (터널관리시스템의 안전운영 적정성 분석)

  • Length and the number of tunnels has increased 10% annually. Tunnel construction has positive effect in nature and driving condition. However, the structure of tunnels lead to a greater probability of major accidents. For this reason, tunnel is focusing its attention on the rapid incident handling and disaster management to build a tunnel management system in recently. In this study, tunnel management system adequacy analyzed in terms of operational safety using IPA and AHP analysis. IPA analysis results using the portfolio chart, incident management factors has a large gap between important and satisfaction. Disaster management is analyzed high ranking in priority. However, incident management factors are derived first priority in AHP analysis. This study determined that the results are meaningful to practitioners in the field is determined. In addition, practitioners comments should be reflected primarily for tunnel operational safely.

A New Preprocessing Method for the Seedup of the Watershed-based Image Segmentation (분수계 기반 영상 분할의 속도 개선을 위한 새로운 전처리 방법)

  • In this paper, a new preprocessing method is proposed to speedup the watershed-based image segmentation In the proposed method, the gradient correction values of ramp edges are calculated from the positions and width of the ramp edges using Laplacian operator, and then, unlike the conventional method in which the monoscale or multi scale gradient image is directly used as a reference iImage, the reference image is obtained by adding the threshold value to each position of the ramp edges in the monoscale gradient image And the marker image is reconstructed on the reference image by erosion By preprocessing the image for the watershed transformation in such a manner, we can reduce the oversegmentations far more than those of applying the conventional morphological filter to the simple monoscale or multiscale gradient-based reference image Thus, we can reduce the total image segmentation time by reducing the time of postprocessing of region merging, which consumes most of the processing time In the watershed-based image segmentation, Experimental results indicate that the proposed method can speedup the total image segmentation about twice than those of the conventional methods, without the loss of ramp edges and principal edges around the dense-edge region.

A Study on 3D Indoor mapping for as-built BIM creation by using Graph-based SLAM (준공 BIM 구축을 위한 Graph-based SLAM 기반의 실내공간 3차원 지도화 연구)

  • In Korea, the absence of BIM use in existing civil structures and buildings is driving a demand for as-built BIM. As-built BIMs are often created using laser scanners that provide dense 3D point cloud data. Conventional static laser scanning approaches often suffer from limitations in their operability due to the difficulties in moving the equipment, the selection of scanning location, and the requirement of placing targets or extracting tie points for registration of each scanned point cloud. This paper aims at reducing the manual effort using a kinematic 3D laser scanning system based on graph-based simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) for continuous indoor mapping. The robotic platform carries three 2D laser scanners: the front scanner is mounted horizontally to compute the robot's trajectory and to build the SLAM graph; the other two scanners are mounted vertically to scan the profiles of surrounding environments. To reduce the accumulated error in the trajectory of the platform through loop closures, the graph-based SLAM system incorporates AdaBoost loop closure approach, which is particularly suitable for the developed multi-scanner system providing more features than the single-scanner system for training. We implemented the proposed method and evaluated it in two indoor test sites. Our experimental results show that the false positive rate was reduced by 13.6% and 7.9% for the two dataset. Finally, the 2D and 3D mapping results of the two test sites confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed graph-based SLAM.

Avaliable analysis of precise positioning using the LX-PPS GNSS permanent stations (LX-PPS GNSS 상시관측소의 정밀측위 활용 가능성 분석)

  • In this paper, we analyzed the possibility of utilizing LX-PPS GNSS permanent stations whose antennas are installed on the building rooftop for the purpose of high-precision GNSS positioning services. We picked 15 pairs of adjacent GNSS permanent stations operated by LX-PPS and NGII, and then produced 3-year-long time series using the high-precision data processing software called GIPSY. Patterns and trends of position estimates were compared and analyzed. Horizontal and vertical deviations including the linear velocities coincide with the well-known crustal deformation rates of the Korean peninsula. We also observed almost the same annual or seasonal patterns from those nearby sites. After detrending the linear velocity, the amplitude and phase of annual signals almost perfectly match each other within the baseline length of 2 km. By subtracting seasonal signals, the RMS and standard deviations in LX-PPS PPGR with respect to NGII KANR are about 1, 2, and 5 mm in the north-south, east-west, and vertical directions, respectively. From this analysis it can be concluded that the rooftop-installed LX-PPS sites show similar level of stability and positioning performance comparable to those ground-mounted NGII stations.

A Polarization-based Frequency Scanning Interferometer and the Measurement Processing Acceleration based on Parallel Programing (편광 기반 주파수 스캐닝 간섭 시스템 및 병렬 프로그래밍 기반 측정 고속화)

  • Frequency Scanning Interferometry(FSI) system, one of the most promising optical surface measurement techniques, generally results in superior optical performance comparing with other 3-dimensional measuring methods as its hardware structure is fixed in operation and only the light frequency is scanned in a specific spectral band without vertical scanning of the target surface or the objective lens. FSI system collects a set of images of interference fringe by changing the frequency of light source. After that, it transforms intensity data of acquired image into frequency information, and calculates the height profile of target objects with the help of frequency analysis based on Fast Fourier Transform(FFT). However, it still suffers from optical noise on target surfaces and relatively long processing time due to the number of images acquired in frequency scanning phase. 1) a Polarization-based Frequency Scanning Interferometry(PFSI) is proposed for optical noise robustness. It consists of tunable laser for light source, ${\lambda}/4$ plate in front of reference mirror, ${\lambda}/4$ plate in front of target object, polarizing beam splitter, polarizer in front of image sensor, polarizer in front of the fiber coupled light source, ${\lambda}/2$ plate between PBS and polarizer of the light source. Using the proposed system, we can solve the problem of fringe image with low contrast by using polarization technique. Also, we can control light distribution of object beam and reference beam. 2) the signal processing acceleration method is proposed for PFSI, based on parallel processing architecture, which consists of parallel processing hardware and software such as Graphic Processing Unit(GPU) and Compute Unified Device Architecture(CUDA). As a result, the processing time reaches into tact time level of real-time processing. Finally, the proposed system is evaluated in terms of accuracy and processing speed through a series of experiment and the obtained results show the effectiveness of the proposed system and method.

Immersive Visualization of Casting Solidification by Mapping Geometric Model to Reconstructed Model of Numerical Simulation Result (주물 응고 수치해석 복원모델의 설계모델 매핑을 통한 몰입형 가시화)

  • In this research we present a novel method which combines and visualizes the design model and the FDM-based simulation result of solidification. Moreover we employ VR displays and visualize stereoscopic images to provide an effective analysis environment. First we reconstruct the solidification simulation result to a rectangular mesh model using a conventional simulation software. Then each point color of the reconstructed model represents a temperature value of its position. Next we map the two models by finding the nearest point of the reconstructed model for each point of the design model and then assign the point color of the design model as that of the reconstructed model. Before this mapping we apply mesh subdivision because the design model is composed of minimum number of points and that makes the point distribution of the design model not uniform compared with the reconstructed model. In this process the original shape is preserved in the manner that points are added to the mesh edge which length is longer than a predefined threshold value. The implemented system visualizes the solidification simulation data on the design model, which allows the user to understand the object geometry precisely. The immersive and realistic working environment constructed with use of VR display can support the user to discover the defect occurrence faster and more effectively.
