First, must escape resolutely in ideas that literature is basing in actuality and search the literature-ecological imagination. Therefore, forward literature may have to look for the literature-ecological imagination with many interests to green literature ecology and show image that move constantly. And must approach appearing common view of nature and the literature-ecological imagination in principle of integration of expropriation and production now all round to our literary productions. Therefore, must do so that can be nature friendship and become practical education model that expropriation of ecological literary productions and production activity foster literary sensibility and imagination. Also, lively research and groping about each genre of a Korean literature are to premised in diachronic and synthetic veins I will. This study aims to investigate the context of materials in literature textbooks and the awareness about the educational value of classical literature, as part of an interest in literature education phenomena. This study accepts the premise that textbooks affect the practice of classical literature education and, in particular, materials in textbooks are chosen according to the intentions, demands, and perspectives of education in specific social conditions. I divided the educational value of classical literature into two categories, classical and literary value, and investigated the actual conditions and context of materials of literature textbooks based on the 2009 revised curriculum and the 2011 revised curriculum. Classical literature is generally alienated and excluded; contemporary literature materials are mostly included and organized in the domains of 'the role of literature', 'reception and production of literature' and 'literature and life.' In addition, the tendency to heighten classical value and diminish literary value is deepening. In order to solve the problem that classical literature is only included as the product of the past, changes must be made not just to the curriculum, which are external changes, but to the awareness of the essence of classical literature, which are internal changes. Above all, generality as 'literature' and the sense of distance about space and time as 'classic' should be connected to various relationships which respond to problematic situations and the demands of learners. Based on the relationships, we can expect a rich diversity of contexts and aspects of included classical literature. In addition, an extension of the width and scope of included classical literature is anticipated. The reduction of workload, the advent of the concept of capability and the dissolution of traditional literature concepts are the changes of external environment, which is continuously requiring renewed investigation into classical literature beyond simple appropriateness.

In this thesis we set forth the reasons for teaching classical river novels in secondary education, and investigated the guiding principles for content design of high school literature textbooks. Although classical river novels have great significance in cultural and narrative histories, they were previously consistently disregarded in secondary education. First, we looked at the need for including classical river novels in the secondary school curriculum to create a well-balanced education of classical novels, to link this with modern river novels, to teach the narrative styles and esthetics of river novels, and to let students understand the various cultures of the late Joseon Dynasty. Second, we examined two ways of educating students about classical river novels. For exclusively teaching classical river novels, we recommended the means of teaching and provided detailed guidelines by which they can be taught, as well as provided complete information about the family tree, the story unit, and the scene deployment. To establish the link between classic river novels and their modern counterparts, we recommended the process of teaching accession and transition of tradition by introducing the commonalities and the differences across three generations stories, besides discussing the viewpoints of female writers. When classical river novels are introduced in literary textbooks, students will realize the existence of such novels though they may not understand all aspects of the novels. We suggest that teaching and introduction of classical river novels in secondary education as soon as possible.

This study suggests some ideas for the improvements of the classes of Language(700) and Literature(800) of the 4th Edition of Korean Decimal Classification(KDC). They includes some recommendations for the followings: introducing some new entries of the time table for the Korean Literature and English and American Literatures; relocating some entries for the improvements including language policy and administration; using new terminologies: adding new and revised notes for the appropriate entries; changing some specific classifying methods including the classification of bilingual dictionaries; introducing some options including those for the subdivisions of modern novels and those for American Literature; and discontinuing some entries not used, especially those in other Languages.

The purpose of this study is to explore sorts and roles of Afro-American music genres such as jazz, blues, gospel, and swing which were shown in post-structural Afro-American literary works: Toni Morrison's novel Jazz, Alice Walker's novel The Color Purple, and August Wilson's play The Piano Lesson. It has been phenomenal for several important Afro-American writers to create their works in which they invite traditional Afro-American music genres. This has made significant effects to depict a wide range of episodes in their works, which are historically and culturally associated with such music genres. This paper analyzes varied ways in which the writers combine these two artistic fields, which are all Afro-American, and express their authenticity and identity as being blackness.

This manuscript examines modern poetry, modern novel and modern songs that consist of changed ancient song and looks modern writers' perspective about through characteristic that each of works has and then aims checking special situation and meaning that is implicit and recognizing the value of the original. As the has been recreated as modern poetry, it shows the current chaotic situation specifically by embodying it and actively seeks expressing human character, agony and longing, etc, by excluding factor of the original mythical interpretation. Also it rouses situation of reality as detained and repressed. , recreated as modern novel, expands narrative structure and shows portrait of various characters and speaks diverse human condition about reality and suggests plan for dealing with that. Basic emotions of the original is strongly passed to modern popular song . It makes us know that universal emotions which human has across generations can touch people transcending time and space and it is a fresh discovery and possibility that reaffirms the emotion of our people. Ancient song has been studied with emphasis on resignation and grief by focusing on the subject, simply parting and death. But recently, through transformation between a wide range of genres. it carries the spirit of the times that author toward, showing realistic and specific situations. Flexibility of ancient song is expected to continue its vitality transcending generations. Ancient song is assured that it can lead various aspects through active groping in era of change with a various possibility, that the original has, through communication between genres.

The purpose of this study is to examine a direction for contents choice and transmission strategies of radio literature reading programs. For this, 129 picturebook contents used for EBS program of "children books for adults" in recent 6 months were collected and analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively based on Nicholajeva's societal and aesthetic approach. In terms of external literary elements, there were unequal distribution of published period, nation, company and genre. In terms of literary inner factors, they were excellently reflecting the stream and the tendency of modern children literature. Finally, in the process of turning visual texts into auditory texts, the program used diverse auditory transmission strategies. Based on these results, it is suggested that this program need to take into account reforming the contents selection practice to provide abundant literary experience for listeners and sophisticating the transmission effects adapted for a digital era.

The purpose of this study is to devise teaching goals for Liberal Literature Lessons in college through the class . Lots of domestic and foreign novels have recently been turned into films or TV series. As cinematized novels become hits in movie theaters, the original stories ascend to the bestseller list due to the success in the box-office, which proves once again how powerful the visual media is. In this study, 10 works of cinematized literature were explored for one semester in a Liberal Literature class called , aimed at increasing students' interest in novels in the era of digital images. The literary works chosen for the study were novels that had won the Akutagawa Prize, which is given to writers in the field of pure literature, the Naoki Prize, which is awarded in the field of popular literature, and the Japanese Bookstore Grand Prize, which the employees at Japanese bookstores award to the novel they want to sell most. Afterward, a survey was conducted on students in the class to determine their satisfaction with the lectures. Despite the fact that they had little interest in Japanese Literature before taking this lecture, they indicated greater interest in Japanese movies and culture as well as novels due to the class.
