Urban cmmunity films have achieved the industrial modern society's idiosyncrasy Popular films have achieved the industrial growth through city as the completion of modernization. They also have represented the social meaning of urban space, and have expanded 'their political space' This filmic challenge showed diverse negative factors which were the poor's economical difficulties, the relative robbery of their education and job, and adhered class in city through developing the urban space with were hidden beyond modernity's splendor.

본 연구는 현대 도시의 다양한 문제점에 대한 대응방식에 있어서 도시성장관리정책의 측면에서 접근하여 미국의 시애틀 도시를 대상으로 하여 그 성장과정과 도시계획 및 설계의 정책변화과정을 살펴봄으로써 제도적, 계획적 시사점을 찾고자 하였다. 시애틀의 도시성장과정에서 주목할 점은 일찍이 도시의 녹지확보를 위한 계획과 정책, 자금확보를 수행해 왔으며, 도시성장관리 기법에 의거한 도시계획의 수립, 도시전체에 대한 포괄적 계획의 수립, 지속가능한 개발정책의 수립을 들 수 있으며, 이 과정에서 시민의 참여를 적극 유도하고 있다는 점이다.

This study examines the multi-functionality of the cultural facilities and explores the architectural characteristics of cultural facilities in city environment. For this purpose, 1 examine the major cultural facilities in USA and Singapore. Recently, the inter-cultural communication methods have been diversified and the cultural facilities need to be designed to effectively accommodate the public's interests in these activities. It is also necessary to reexamine cultural facilities' functions in terms of how the multi-functionality facilities reflect the surrounding environment. This study also sheds a new light on the meaning of the relationships between cultural activity, and the cultural facility design. For this, I primarily look at the various design categories of cultural buildings and their main functions. Finally, I demonstrate how both cultural activity and cultural facility design elements are embodied in the city environment.

Modern city doesn't have its own identity that differentiates itself from others despite the fact that each city has a historical value. This is due to the demolition of historical and regional values. As such problems are connected to urban problems, they become even more serious. Thus, the researchers of this study set Gyeongbokgung(Palace) as an object to look into landscape factors and found out the relations between psychological variables and preference. Then, the researchers analyzed the quantitative relations between the physical attributes of historic cultural landscape and human response. As such, the researchers aimed to set and propose a confirmed standard in terms of identity and regional & historical values of historic cultural landscape. Since this study was performed with an object of historic cultural landscape that was reproduced based on original landscape in the past, a future study should be on the difference in preference based on the proportion of modern landscape. Based on such studies, a new plan should be made for forming the urban historic cultural landscape.

This study attempts to understand urban evolution characteristics through suburban development cases considered as a contemporary urban issue. Methods are (1) Urban Expansion Intensity Index (UEII) for the 9 cities in the Korea (1980-2010) & 49 cities in the US, (2) Morphological Spatial Pattern Analysis(MSPA) and Entropy for the developed areas in the Chicago Metro (2019). Results are (1) a suburban development could be understood the universal characteristics, (2) the characteristics of the whole region might be appeared to be in a different direction from the characteristics of its sub-cities. Implications are (1) Suburban expansion can be understood as a functionally well served urban change phenomenon and it is important to focus on the functions of sub-level cities, (2) the urban evolutionary perspective makes a difference from the developmental growth perspective. The extensive empirical studies will be beneficial for better understating of urban evolution.

$\ulcorner$2000년 인구 및 주택 조사$\lrcorner$ 자료에 의하면 전체 가구 중에서 단독주택 가구가 40.38%, 공동 주택 가구가 58.79%를 차지하고 있다. 아파트, 연립주택, 다세대주택 등으로 이루어진 공동주택이 이제 우리의 일상적인 주거양식이 되었다고 할 수 있다. 다시 말해 공동주택 주거양식은 현대적인 생활양식으로 우리의 보편적인 주거형태이며 대도시뿐만 아니라 중소도시의, 심지어 면 소재지에 이르기까지 우리의 주요한 주거 공간이 되었다. 이러한 현대적인 주거 생활은 도시화의 상징이자 도시 생활양식의 확산에 있어서 중요한 기능을 하고 있다. 세계에서 가장 큰 항구 도시 로테르담. 물 위의 메트로폴리스라 불리는 로테르담은 삶과 일, 휴식과 문화가 조화를 이룬 도시다. 제2차 세계대전 때 독일군의 폭격으로 초토화된 탓에 거의 모든 건축물이 지은 지 50여 년밖에 되지 않지만 덕분에 다양한 현대 건축의 실험과 도전 정신이 집약적으로 표출돼온 곳이기도 하다. Under construction! 지금 이 순간도 역동적으로 변화하고 있는 도시, 유럽 물류와 항만의 심장 로테르담의 오늘을 얘기해보자.
