Design Process of Robotic Cell and Layout Design Tool (로봇 셀 설계절차와 레이아웃 작업 지원 도구)

  • In this study, a design process of robotic cell is presented. This paper focuses only on the automation of workpiece handling with robot. The presented design process enables us to analyze effectiv ely the original production system and to redesign it as an optimum production system with robots. An original production system is analyzed with respect to its economical and technological requirements for automation. If automation of the given production system is feasible, the conceptual design for automation is firstly derived. Next, the detail design is derived for the optimum conceptual design. Finally, an optimum system solution is determined after the economical and technical evaluation of all the derived detail designs. The all specifications of each element of the redesigned production system and its layout are determined at the detail design phase. This paper shows a low cost supporting tool for layout design of robotic cell with SCARA type robots.

Analysis of Race Car Handling Characteristics Using DADS in Initial Design Step (DADS를 이용한 초기 설계 단계에서의 경기용 차량의 핸들링 특성 해석)

  • In this study, 3 dimensional non-linear race car vehicle model including Chassis, steering and suspension systems were modeled by using Multi-Body Dynamics Simulation Program, DADS 9.5(Dynamic Analysis and Design System),which was used in kinematic and dynamic analysis. A full race car vehicle dynamics model using DADS program was presented and analysis was carried out to estimate the handling characteristics that may be very useful to design a race car in early design stage. The simulation of vehicle handling behavior for step steering input was simulated and compared with different design parameters: torsional stiffness of the front and rear anti roll bars, the motion ratio of the front and rear suspension system, the location of the tie rod joint, in multibody dynamic model. Therefore this simulation model before race car construction in early design step will be helpful for race car designer to save time and limited budget.

  • 현재 널리 사용되고 있는 네트웍 관리 프로토콜인 Simple Network Management Protocol(SNMP)은 시스템이나 네트웍 관리자로 하여금 원격으로 네트웍 장비를 모니터링하고 환경 설정 등의 운영을 하기 위하여 쓰이고 있다. 하지만 SNMP 의 메시지 핸들링 메소드들은 비인가 접근, 서비스 거부, 또는 불안정한 행동을 야기할 만한 취약점들을 갖고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 기존의 SNMP 프로토콜에 XML보안알고리즘을 적용한 안전한 네트웍 관리 프로토콜을 설계하고자 한다.

  • E-Business part is activated to base on contents for supports various constomer's desire. That is, techniqueses for efficient business transaction processing are studied and Web-Based component technology such as EJB is applied. Thus, this research designed Wokeflow for efficient E-Business contents supervision and processing that apply Web-Based EJB component technology. Accordingly, 1 used web server component model EJB for handling of various contents. Components of function module can improve system development efficiency of reusability, maintenance etc.. to process various contents.

  • Recently several researches of high speed container ship and loading system are mainly accomplished in U.S.A. and Japan. Its shipping service is not realized but it is realized in near future. To effective use of the feature and efficiency of them, quay, loading/unloading. yard operation system, port management system and connection transport system must be well integrated and operated. Specially, loading /unloading speed of container crane is important for making effective use of them. To speed up loading/unloading system, RO-RO and LO-LO methods that are mostly exclusive system are studied on the container crane with special structure and mechanism to handle individual container or bundle of containers. In this paper these methods are shown. When new high speed loading system of container is desighed, the realistic constrains must be considered.

  • In this paper, we propose a new precise control technology of robotic gripper for assembling and handling of part. When a robot manipulator interacts mechanically with its environment to perform tasks such as assembly or edge-finishing, the end-effector is thereby constrained by the environment. Therefore grasping force control is very important, since it increases safety due to monitoring of contact force. A comparison of various force control architecture is reported. Different force control methods can often be configured to achieve similar results for a given task, and the choice of control algorithm depends strongly on the application or on the characteristics of a particular robot. In the research, the adjustable gripping force can be controlled and improved the accuracy using the artificial intelligence techniques.

  • In this paper, a full vehicle model is developed to analyze toe and camber changes due to rack height variation and compliance. The AutoDyn7 program developed in G7 project is used for the computer simulation. Steady state cornering test was done to find the understeer gradient. Imposing a pulse steer input, Frequency Response Function(FRF) of yaw rate and lateral accelerations were evaluated. To verify the stability, the rhombus using four parameters is employed. Steer characteristics were evaluated by changing the rack height and the bushing lateral stiffiness. which installed between the low control arm and the chassis.

  • MMI 시스템은 제철 공정에서 발생되는 다양한 데이터를 조업자에게 쉽고 빠르게 전달하기 위해, real time operating system에서 동작하는 제철공정의 주된 제어 프로세스와 인터페이스 한다. 따라서 MMI 시스템은 제철 공정의 주된 제어 프로세스와 ethernet network을 통해 공유 데이터들을 통신하도록 개발되고, MMI 시스템은 M/S window operating system과 DDE(Dynamic Data Exchange) 라이브러리 환경을 기반으로 개발된다. 수 개의 MMI client PC와 1 개의 MMI server로 구성되는 MMI 시스템은 MMI client들 사이의 공유 데이터가 동기화될 수 있도록 최적 packet 양을 도출하고, 신뢰성 높은 데이터 전송을 위한 특별한 데이터 핸들링 방법을 사용한다. MMI 시스템은 GUI(Graphic User Interface)를 사용하여 조업자에게 친숙한 window 화면을 제공하므로, MMI 시스템의 화면 수정, 첨가 및 삭제가 비용 부담없이 용이하게 진행되므로, 기존 제철 공정에서 사용하던 OCP(Operating Control Panel)들이 MMI 시스템으로 대체되고 있다.

Validation of the Control Logic for Automated Material Handling System Using an Object-Oriented Design and Simulation Method (객체지향 설계 및 시뮬레이션을 이용한 자동 물류 핸들링 시스템의 제어 로직 검증)

  • Recently, many enterprises are installing AMSs(Automated Manufacturing Systems) for their competitive advantages. As the level of automation increases, proper design and validation of control logic is a imperative task for the successful operation of AMSs. However, current discrete event simulation methods mainly focus on the performance evaluation. As a result, they lack the modeling capabilities for the detail logic of automated manufacturing system controller. Proposed in this paper is a method of validation of the controller logic for automated material handling system using an object-oriented design and simulation. Using this method, FA engineers can validate the controller logic easily in earlier stage of system design, so they can reduce the time for correcting the logic errors and enhance the productivity of control program development Generated simulation model can also be used as a communication tool among FA engineers who have different experiences and disciplines.
