The structure chosen to govern knowledge transfer in Inter Organizational Relationship(IOR) is often argued to be critical to the success of IOR. However, little research is done on the effective governance structure for knowledge transfer in global Business Process Outsourcing(BPO). The objective of this study is to explore the effective governance structure for knowledge transfer in IT intensive global BPO. Ground theory building methodology is used for this study. First, a generic framework on governance structure for knowledge transfer is derived from extant literature. The framework consists of potentially important constructs to study the governance mechanism for knowledge transfer. For the governance mechanism, this study focused on hierarchy/market structure, formal/informal control mechanisms and information systems. For knowledge type, the study focuses on sensitive knowledge, codifiable knowledge and non codifiable knowledge. This framework is applied to case analyses of two firms to explore effective governance mechanism to transfer each type of knowledge. As results of this study, pertinent propositions for future academic inquiry are derived.

해외에서는 교육/훈련 영역에서도 최신 정보기술과 아웃소싱을 통해 기업들이 교육/훈련에 대한 투자로부터 더 많은 성과를 높일 수 있도록 하는 새로운 접근방법이 시도되고 있다. 그러나 이러한 새로운 접근 방법의 도입을 통한 효과성 향상을 위해서는 해당 기업의 상황에 맞게 적절히 활용할 수 있도록 하는 비즈니스 목적과의 연계, 성과측정, 니즈 세분화 등을 수행하여야 하며, 관계 나침반 같은 프레임워크를 활용하여 핵심 교육/훈련 프로세스에서 회사의 전략에 부합하는 혁신을 달성할 수 있도록 아웃소싱 업체와의 관계 형성을 하여야 한다.

Textile industry of Korea has been assumed advanced textile industry nation's aspects with production system and equipment. But has been descended in the sector of design, brand, recognition comparing with Italy, Japan, England. And products of middle and low price do not have competitiveness against China, South East Asia. The world's textile industry nation has been confronted with Free Trade, and Regional Trade Blocks. New market has been opened with free Trade, but Trade Blocks(NAFTA, EU, APEC etc.) which encourage regional member country's profit maximize made textile export driven nation to consider strategies to cope with. Advanced textile industry nation divided the work among themselves and composed linking system among them which highly valuable products are manufactured at advanced nation and low price products are manufactured by global outsourcing. The purpose of this study is to analyze impact of process which requires to secure international competitiveness into business performance experimentally.
