The Journal of Industrial Management Society in Republic of Korea. In order to explore the effect of overseas language training on the development of foreign language accuracy, this study investigates the errors in English compositions produced by 27 Korean university students who received overseas language training for 15 weeks. For data collection, students were made to take two tests, a pretest and a posttest, a semester apart. The differences in composition elements and errors between the two tests were examined and statistical analyses were performed. Results showed that while the average length of the compositions and sentences increased, the number of sentences decreased in the posttest. Also, more errors were found in the posttest where the students tried to construct more complex sentence structures. The students' ability to generate sentences were found to have improved, while their competence in using grammatical elements accurately within sentences did not see great improvement. This implies that overseas language training was not effective for aiding the development of one's grammatical accuracy of a foreign language over a 15-week period for the students.

천문학회 교육홍보위원회 산하 해외교육지원단에서는 2016, 7년 1, 2기 원정대에 이어 3기 원정대 6명을 선발하여 2018년 9월 17-21일 5일 동안 캄보디아 시소폰의 Xavier Jesuit School에서 약 30명의 중등 과학 선생님들을 대상으로 천문연수를 진행하였다. 3기 원정대에서는 다양한 경험과 경력을 가진 대원들이 참여하게 되어 망원경을 활용한 실습 수업 뿐만 아니라 연수에 참여한 과학 선생님들이 직접 수업에 활용할 수 있는 기본 천문학 수업들을 포함하였다. 그리고 최신의 천문학 연구를 소개할 수 있는 현대 천문학 수업을 준비하여 참가자들에게 더 다채로운 천문학 세계를 소개할 수 있었다. 해외교육지원단에서는 캄보디아와 같이 천문학 교육에 소외된 나라의 천문교육지원 사업을 지속적으로 지원할 계획이며 특히, 각 지역의 과학 교사들에게 연수기회를 제공함으로써 교육자들을 통해 각 지역의 어린 학생들이 천문학을 접할 수 있는 기회가 많아지기를 희망한다. 또한 직접 연수를 받은 과학 교사들의 천문학에 대한 관심을 높이고 천문학 연구의 필요성을 인지할 수 있게 도울 예정이다.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to explore the experience process of nursing students who have participated in a major converged short-term study abroad program and to present the future direction of short-term study abroad. Methods: This study is a qualitative study based on the grounded theory and method in nursing students' experience of major in a major converged short-term study abroad program. Results: The core category emerged as 'finding myself in another me'. 'as experience the difference' emerged as a causal condition. Action/interaction strategies were found to provide students with these effects: 'a change of attitude on life', 'find continued support resources', 'due to hard reality, putting down the aspiration'. Shown in these results of this study, nursing students were seen to have the simultaneous effect of 'to live as the organizers of life', and 'return to the old life'. Conclusions: The nursing students experience a positive impact on their attitude towards life.
